How can I open Photoshop CC?

RE: My problem on this topic:
I just downloaded PhotoSHopCC onto my Macbook Pro and had no apparent problems… other than not being able to locate the new PhotoShopCC icon [I want to OPEN the program and/or place the icon in my LaunchPad!]. My Applications folder for some reason indicates it is empty.  Why would that be??  When I do a search for the new PShopCC app all I find are many existing files that may or may not have some relationship with PhotoShop.  BUT, there IS a heading on the Search Results page that says Adobe PhotoShop CC. That is the only indication so far that the installation was successful.  Thank you for any help you may provide!

Branching this to a new discussion.
BobbyBen please see Launch CC apps after install - https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/launch-creative-cloud-apps.html for information on how to open Photoshop CC.

  • How can I open photoshop files from 1995 with no file extensions?

These files are on CD and are definitely Photoshop 2 or 2.5 or 3. When I put the CD in my Mac is showing them as Unix Executable Files.
I'm currently using Photoshop CS3 on Mac 10.5.8.
I've tried adding extensions such as tif, psd, jpg etc but photoshop refuses to recognise them as photoshop files.

Yes, you should be able to open them.
Most likely you've forgotten what the file type was  (PICT maybe?).
If you have a hex editor, you could open the file and look at the first 8 bytes or so and figure out what the file type is.

  • How can I open photoshop C3 using keys?

I remember the days when applications could be opened by pressing a key. Is this possible with OS10.6.7?
    Thank you in advance, j

If the program has not been quit, you can switch to it easily via the keyboard. Hold down the Command key, then stroke the Tab key. A dashboard-style window will appear. Repeated strokes of the Tab key (with Command still held down) will cycle a selection through each of the active apps; the selected one will have its name highlighted. Once the one you want is the selected one, release the Command key.
If the item has its icon in the Dock, you can press Fn-Control-F3. This should select, via highlighting (darkening), an item in the Dock, typically Finder. You can then use the Tab key to move the selection from one icon to the next in sequence. Once the one you want is selected, press the Return key. This should switch to that app if it is already running; or start up that app if it is not running.

You can't directly but can use DNG Converter to convert your files so ACR can read and process them.

    Three choices:
    1. Upgrade to PSE11
    2. download the free Adobe DNG Converter and then convert your RAWs to DNG, which will open in PSE9
    3. Use manufacturer's software and convert to TIF (or JPG)

How can I get photoshop elements to open my nef images?

The D3200 requires at least ACR 7.1, which isn't compatible with any version of PSE prior to PSE 11, so no, you can't do this directly in PSE 9.
You could upgrade PSE, use the Nikon software to convert the files and then open the resulting images into PSE for further editing, or download the free Adobe DNG converter to convert your NEFs to DNG files that your version of PSE can understand.

I have an old Kodak Photo CD (1999) and Photoshop Elements 11 on Windows 7. How can I open the .pcd images?
Please help me open these photos. They are very important to me and I need to access them.
If I can't do it with any of the software installed on my computer, would someone be willing to open them, save them as jpgs and send them to me?
    Thank you so much, Nancy

You can get the plugin here by downloading the Extra Content for Photoshop CS3  File 2
Just be sure to follow Note:Very Important Instructions or the link won't work.
    http://prodesigntools.com/download-adobe-cs4-and-cs3-free-trials-here.html
After downloading the PHSPCS3_Cont_WWE.exe, double click on it to extract the contents, probably to your desktop.
Then in the Goodies folder, Optional Plugins folder, you'll see the Kodak PhotoCD folder
Open that and copy the Photo CD.8BI to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 11\Plug-Ins
Copy the profiles to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Color\Profiles

How  can I see the previews of my D610 in bridge cs5 and how can I open them in my CC photoshop?

Nah. Raw support is version specific and that extends to Bridge as well. Older versions simply won't handle new cameras. If this is important to you, you will have to use Bridge CC.

How can I open Adobe Bridge CS6 in high resolution on my MacBook Pro Retina display? When I click Get Info, the "Open in Low Resolution" box is marked and locked. How can I unmark this box? I currently run 10.9.1. I can open Adobe Photoshop CS6 in high resolution without any problem. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

There is no such thing. In CS6 only PS itself is Retina compatible. You would have to use CC for full Retina support.
