How can I play video/audio to an AV Receiver?

I have my iMac connected to a Denon AV receiver and the properties of the AV receiver show up under display properties in system preferences. I have the obtion to mirror the display but when I do, nothing comes through on my home theatre system.
I just cannot figure out how to get the video and audio to play on it now.
The Denon is connected via a mini display port/HDMI cable.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure I fully understand the problem. Does it not work when you take it out of mirrored and run the two displays in extended display mode (use Arrangment to arrange the two monitors)? Of course you need to chang your Sound preferences to use the hdmi conneciton as well.

you have to install avs video converter and then well im not going to translate everything but it explains you all the settings to put to have a video for you ipod. after it was converted like the website says open itunes and then drop the conveerted file to itunes and it will work (well it did with me)

How can I play an audio CD with QT 7.1.6?

I want to play an audio CD with QuickTime 7.1.6.
When I click on Open file and select the CD drive, change th file type to Audio Files and mark "Open as read-only" nothing is displayed. When I change to "All Files (.)" the tracks are showed with an ".cda" extension. When I dobleclick on a track, I get the Error -2048: the file is not a movie file.

I confirm your issue as I just tried an audio CD in my XP laptop. "All Files" showed only the 44 byte .cda files and no others. QuickTime couldn't open them (error -2048).
I also tried "Open File" with version 7 Pro and it couldn't open.
Odd that I get the option to open using iTunes and it opens and plays just fine. Since iTunes uses the QuickTime engine I would have thought QuickTime could read the files directly.
The same audio CD inserted in my Mac allowed me to double click any track and it opened directly in QuickTime Player. The files show as .aiff files measured in MB's.
Windows users could open an audio CD in iTunes and then convert to .aiff (no compression) and then open the .aiff in QuickTime.
I guess I should have tried myself before getting your hopes up. I apologize.

How can I play video by touching the button on the video thumbnail ?

I have a table view in which if each cell is touched a video plays.
Each cell have image of the video cell.imageView.image. And on the image I have a button (UIButton) with play symbol.
If I touch the play button the corresponding video should be played same like the when cell is touched.
I have a selector for the play button. But how can I know that particular row is selected by touching the play button. How can I play the video when I touched the button ?

Check the hardware acceleration mode you have set. Try to use "direct" acceleration as this will choose between GPU and CPU to render and is most compatible. The setting is in the XML file generated for the app:

<renderMode>direct</renderMode>
And no the device is absolutely not guaranteed to record compatible video at all. Browsers go by browser standards and video recording goes via manufacturer hardware and software limits, features and compatibility. It entirely depends on what you're doing with the video and the mode it is recorded in. If the user checks off the record CIF MMS compatible video and records in that it will not be visible to many browsers. Audio is almost always recorded in ultra-light mp3 or aac so that's why you hear it.
Android allows you to install many different browsers. Did you install any or set any other browser as the alternate default browser? When you run the video from a file manager you may be running an alternate, capable browser for the codec. AIR may use the native built-in browser. Also it may not load the video into a browser for playback at all as I would suspect a video would be mapped to the devices default media player and not a browser at all. Unless you're able to select the video and explicitly tell it to open in a browser I feel you're actually looking at the video in the "Video" app of your device, which will be compatible with the codec.
A simple way to check browser compatibility is to copy the video to your computer, upload it to a web server and see how it plays on various desktop browsers. If any of them have black video and only play sound, you know it's a codec issue.

How can I play video in an HTML article targeting a Samsung Galaxy Tab

I am trying to play video in an HTML article using the <a href="videofile://...m4v"> method but no there is on action on the link when I try to run the app on the Samsung Galaxy Tablet.
I've also tried to link to an html file that contains the html video tag. That method only shows the controls and plays the audio, unless you click the full screen control, at which point it will play the video and audio.

How can I play an audio signal using DAQ or other way?

I'm designing a Voltage control amplifier. as shown in the attachment, I have a speaker connected to the power amplifier but all i have is noise. I like to know how can I put an simple audio to my circuit. My audio input is generated by the function generator. I only have a simple labview program which control my voltage input as attached.

No problem, your questions are not stupid. I just want to be sure you're digging into the examples and learning from them (they're a great resource).
The sound card outputs should be good enough to drive your circuit. Most cheap cards or built-in audio chips have a jack for line out and headphones (which is just the line signal through a buffer amp so you have volume control). Either on should work for your purpose. The line out should give you a volt or more at reasonable current levels. There also MIGHT be a low frequency filter on the output meaning that you won't be able to output DC levels or very slow (<20Hz) AC.
The jacks themselves usually have the signals (Left and Right) on the center conductors and the return is the barrel but you might want to look up your card's specs or probe the outputs before you connect anything to your circuit.

Is there a way to tell android to open my mp4 (either in assets or on external sd) with it's native video player?
Just like if I tap this (mp4) file in any android file manager.
reasons:
1 - I don't want to write my own player (especially when I have one built in)

i have 2 services, fe A and B, and i want to create a player in service A to play a video component. I have tried to put 2 video components in service A but nothing was played.
in this case the code used was:

I tryed it in another way, with "ServiceContextFactory.getInstance().getServiceContexts();"
but service context array length was 1 (and there's 2 services). I think the problem is that my service/app does'nt have permisions to catch te neighbour service context or video component.

first, i created a player instance from current service. i stopped it, and made a player.deallocate() to later make a player.setSource(). passing a media locator.

When I play the mp3 file on IE it opens in a small screen so I can still see the web page.
On Firefox the whole screen is taken up with the sound file being played.

How can i play Videos as part of a playlist, along with songs?

I've had an ongoing problem for some time now, and i cant really find a method, or an option, to make it work.
Basically, i have Videos (Films), that are music, and i've put them into the same playlist as some of my other similar songs, however these ones are standard mp3 format. All MP3 Format songs play perfectly fine, however, in the shuffle, or even standard playing mode, it doesnt include the films/videos.
It's annoying as i've searched the internet for answers, and ended up here to ask a question.
Any help is appreciated.

i have a 5 gen 30gb ipod and whenever i try to put the videos on my ipod, it says that the videos cannot be placed on the ipod because the ipod isn't compatible with them. i have checked and the videos are both .mpg which as far as i know, is a compatible video extension. i posted this problem before and some guy gave me a program to fix it but i can't find that post anymore. anybody?

the closest apple store to where i live is in toronto and that's pretty far away so i can't go to an apple store. and i won't get a reply from apple for a day or 2 probably and i don't feel like calling them. any other suggestions?
