How can I print a pdf file in Windows 8?

I'm new to Windows 8. How can I print a pdf file in Windows 8?

Well, you can install Adobe Reader XI - not the version for Windows 8 tablets, but the one for regular PCs. This is just the same in Windows 8 as other systems, and can print. The tablet reader, which also runs on PCs, can't print.

I am sorry, but to get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since this is a commercial printer. You can do this at http://h30499.www3.hp.com/hpeb/
    I hope this helps.

Please see FAQ: How to print a PDF file from Adobe Reader Touch.
Starting from version 1.1, Adobe Reader Touch supports printing.
If you do not see the Print button in the toolbar, you have an older version of Adobe Reader Touch. Please download and install the latest version of Adobe Reader Touch via the Windows Store.

  • How can I print multiple pdf files?

Some of the pdf documents we work with are are architectural plans. One file might contain several pages or it might contain just one. Typically we will print several files at a time, either by opening each or just dragging to the printer. A frustrating part of this is that we cant seem to control the order in which they print, ie file1..file2..file3.
Using Reader 8.1.2. Any ideas would be appreciated.

How can I prevent a PDF file from being copied, printed or downloaded? Students should only be able to view the text and and not distribute it in any way.

You can prevent it from being printed by applying a security policy to it
in Acrobat. The rest can't be prevented, unless you spend  a LOT of money
    on DRM protection.

  • How can I print to a file? Msg: "Could not open the file, access denied"

How can I print to a file? Printing itself works fine, but I get this error message when I select the "print to file" box.

Hi gag5212, the "Print pages to PDF" extension does not use the normal print dialog. Instead, right-click the page and look for its menu there, or you can add its button to one of your toolbars.
I'm surprised by your results with the other sites.
The http://www.primopdf.com/ page layout is completely whacky. The product was acquired by the NitroPDF people, but what is going on here? Probably best to ignore that one for now.
On http://www.pdfforge.org/ you should get something like the attached on the download page. I'm alarmed to hear you got something strange. Do you have any extensions that you don't recognize? You might be infected with something that redirects your downloads in some way. Although Norton is generally a solid product, you should consider some supplemental scans. Can I print a pdf file received through Email on an HP Deskjet 5100 printer and how?

Save the file to your hard drive, open it in Adobe Reader and print.  Unless the file has security restrictions against printing, those steps should work.

  • I can not print a pdf file that was sent in an email.  I get the error message that adobe could not

I can not print a pdf file that was sent in an email.  I get an adobe error message that it can not print with an ok to check and when i do I get another adobe error message that says I did not select a page to print. I have downloaded the latest adobe download.  I forwarded the email to my husband and he printed the document just fine.

This first question which comes to mind is how do you display the pdf file in the browser?
For this the browser uses a plug in (e.g. adobe reader) which already has the ability to print the pdf file. Depending on the version of your plug in, printing is started differently.

    Hi Flávia,
Adobe PDF Pack is an online subscription--it definitely allows you to combine several files into one PDF file. For more information about PDF Pack, see Reliably Create PDFs, Convert PDFs, & Merge PDFs Online | Adobe PDF Pack. If you don't have the full version of Acrobat, this is a great solution for combining PDF files.
However, if you're using Acrobat (not Adobe Reader), you combine files by following these steps:
Open a PDF file that you want to add pages to.
Click the Pages pane on the Tools panel (on the right side of the application).
Click Insert From File, and choose the file that you want to combine with the PDF that you opened in step 1.
Make any changes necessary in the Insert Pages dialog box--these settings determine where the new file will be inserted.
    Click OK.
Please let me know how it goes.
    Best,
    Sara
