How can I publish an iBook for a client?

I'm a designer and I have a friend that would like to publish his book for the iPad. What is the best way to go about this?

Toms reply relates to the supposition that your wants to do the work himself and will need an account with Apple.
My take on your question is that the friend wants a book creating and perhaps wants you to do it and get it online via your account. Which is OK if you are happy with that. I do not think Apple have restrictions that would prevent it and you just add the friends names as author.
BUT it can give rise to a host of problems.. is it free or paid book? or does he want a book he can email /share direct to his friends and family??
Bearing in mind all issues, your friend should follow Toms advice and perhaps you can act as tutor to help in the production.

Um... yes. Just send it to the people you want to have it. Of course, nothing prevents them from giving it to others unless it's DRM protected, which would require you to sell it through the app store. I don't believe you can limit who is allowed to purchase it other than restricting it to a specific country.

I can't publish my site for a client to view

For the last week I've been sending drafts through BC with no problems. But today when I try to publish to new a new client I get this
No matter what I put in as a site name.
I have also tried to export to HTML but I keep getting a message saying its "Invalid domain name"

Usually that means one of a couple things:
- Bad Internet connection
- Business Catalyst is doing some maintenace or down.
When you think it might be on the Business Catalyst end try going to this page to see if the servers are having an issue.

How do I publish and ibook for free without a credit card

I am working with a teacher to publish her students work to the iBooks store. We are trying to download iTunes Connect. She has tried to use her account and keeps hitting snags. Her account information is correct but keeps getting rejected. So I tried the school's account that was set up without a credit card. The account is good but my error message is the account requires a credit card. Isn't free, free? We are just trying to get her students' work published. SHe has found the authoring of books very engaging to her remedial students. The project falls short at this time until we get the publishing part fixed. So, help!

The problem is, once I create a document in Pages and turn it into an ePub to be opened in iBooks, I delete the document in Pages, because I don't need two copies taking up space on my iPad. Before Maverick, iTunes would backup everything in my iBook app on my iPad. If something ever happened to my iPad, all of my created ePubs would be lost and I would be screwed. I suppose I could keep everything on Pages and go to iCloud and download my documents to my Mac, but that is a lot of steps. I may have to do that if there is no other way, but I am hoping someone will have the answer for me. Pretty disappointed in iBooks app for Mac at this point.

iBooks only syncs purchased books. Others must be synced in iTunes.

how can i open my iBook on my Mac, not just on my iPhone? I ask this questions in hopes that I can eventually find a way to have the iPhone read a non "Enhanced" iBook to me.
I used the Accessibility reader for a brief time but it's very persinickety. Move the phone a tiny bit and it threw me out from page 70 and back to page 48. Changing pages when you are in Accessibility is excruciating. Now, I cannot get back there at all.
I downloaded 2 apps that claim they can read to me but the closest I can get in the instructions says I need to open the iBook from my Mac computer with my iPhone connected and then I will be able to open the iBook in the app called "Read text to me". Only when I go to open the book on my Mac it says "This book can’t be viewed using this computer. You can view this book using iBooks on your iOS device."
Thank god, I only have a brain tumor and am not yet completely blind.
I've been to the Apple store twice, checked out a youtube page with all it's comments and I am still nowhere, over the course of a week.
Can anybody help me?

The only way to share iBooks that you have purchased is via Family Sharing, which is not what I think you are aiming for:
Family Sharing - Apple Support
You can "Gift" a book by going to the iBooks store, selecting the book, and in the dropdown next to the price, you can select to Gift it to someone.
To the best of my knowledge, these are the only two options.

How can I publish an App to a selected group of people ( not via App Store) without using the Adobe Content Viewer?
The App was developed with InDesign 6.0

You'd have to sign up for an Apple Developer account and then gather all the UDID's (Apple limits this to only 100 devices) that you want your app to be installed on. Create your mobile provisioning profiles to include these ID's and then you could use TestFlight to push out your app and monitor who has installed it. Of course Testflight is intended for monitoring your apps performance but I'm sure you can get away with it if you use it to push you app. One thing to keep in mind is the mobile provisoning profiles are only valid for 1 year. Hope this helps.

HOW CAN I Publish ALL the Original Different Colors in iCal

I am trying to publish a grouped calendar which includes several differently colored events. I am testing it by subscribing to it from an iCal that has no calendars created at all....and it still will not publish the different colors of the original calendar. All the events appear as one color.
How can I publish/share my calendar and have ALL the different colors show?
-I am publishing using a .Mac account.

I am having this same trouble - I publish
webcal://ical.mac.com/neyt/neyt.ics
as a grouped calendar. I tried resetting my sync data fromthe computer that this calendar lives on ( OSX 10.4 because I realized earlier versions have Ical that doesn't even group..)
Now when I have a subscriber pull down the .ics file, it doesn't show up as grouped, nor do the groups live onthe website version.
why don't these groups just show up? if I send people the .ics file - it all works just fine...
I know that some colors might be in use on other computers, I'm sure that other colors will be assigned s individuals need them in their calendars, but the groupings should sync...

Hi Corona,
The screen size is whatever you captured or specified during
the recording or new movie setup process. This will cause the
playback control to be placed "on top of" some portion of the
captured background, but there are two ways around that problem.
1) When you set the red recording area before recording, drag
the bottom of the recording area downward about 35 pixels below the
application window (assuming you are capturing an area that
includes a "bottom" or even an application window - grin). For this
to work, it is best if you do your recording against a
solid-one-colored desktop background, so the "extra" area at the
bottom doesn't include desktop images that you don't want in the
capture (even though that area will not be visible in the end ...)
OR...
2) Use the Project > Resize Project dialog to increase the
palette size on the bottom, taking care to leave the original movie
the same size. This will effectively do the same thing as
Suggestion #1, create a "blank" area at the bottom of the movie on
which there is room to mount the playback control bar.

I believe so - release them as editions or a series (see iTunes Producer meta data). ABC Title, Edition 1 English; ABC Title, Edition 2 Spanish; ABC Title, Edition 3 German...that sort of thing, but with the titles translated, of course
