How can I purge all Local History?

My Local History has somehow gotten corrupted and nothing I have tried has gotten it working again. (See Re: Local History quit working
I've tried turning off Local History and turning it back on, setting "Days to Keep History" to 0 and "Maximum Revisions per File" to 1 (the minimum value it will accept) and then resetting it back to normal values, and even completely deleting the .history folder where the Local History is stored. (After deleting the .history folder, JDeveloper recreates it and repopulates it with old revisions.)
How can I completely purge all of the Local History and start from a clean slate?

I finally found where JDeveloper was caching the Local History information. It was in file jdevhome/system/oracle.javatools.cache/anspersist_0.stf.
Deleting that file and the entire jdevhome/system/.history folder has gotten Local History to work right again (although with all previous history information gone, of course).

You can only view your account's purchase history, you can't view a history of card redemptions.
My account's balance shows at the top left of the store's page on my computer's iTunes, and by logging in to view my account via the Store > View Account menu option. On my iOS devices it shows at the bottom of, for example, the Featured tab in the App Store app under my account id (or you can view your account via Settings > iTunes & App Stores and it should show on the screen that you are taken to).
To view your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it. Click on that and you should then see a list of your purchases.
You've tried logging out and back into your account to see if your balance then shows ? If not, and you can't see where it might have been spent, then you could try contacting iTunes Support and see if they can help : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

How can I purge ALL but one apple ID

we have multiple apple id's across four devices. each likely have personal info and credit card info.
and currently the four devices use / shared just one apple id.
how can we identify and purge the others ??? I don't know what they are, I just know they are in
the system.
I didn't realize we had several until I went to use one of the devices and was denied saying the device
was no longer eligeble for the icloud account.. I thought I'd backup the kids stuff so I didn't cause
world war three and create a new user for me, the dad. I'd like control of the tv remote sometime too!

How can I purge all duplicates from my iTunes library at once?

and it was never answered so I figured I'd make a new thread to try and get some help. I have the same problem in that when I extracted the backup files from my external hdd on my new macbook it created 3-5 duplicates of all my songs. So like the quote above I have 3-5 duplicates of ALL songs from EACH separate artist.
Is it possible to somehow purge all of these duplicates at once, on a macroscopic level? It would take forever to modify individually, as I now have over 27,000 files (originally around 5,500 songs).

Use Option > View > Show Exact Duplicate Items as this is normally a more useful selection. You need to manually select all but one of each group to remove. If the duplicates are clearly grouped in time this may not be too hard to achieve.
Alternatively visit Doug's Scripts and avail yourself of Dupin or Dupin Lite.

I am having difficulties finding photos in local album in ipad2. When I try to add photo from a event folder that has 500+ photos, only a subset comes up and I am not able to select the photo I want. Is there a setting I need to have? Thx.

As a workaround you can enable "Always use native photo browsers" in the PS Touch settings. It's listed under "Preferences" -> "Access Local Photos setting". See attached screenshot

Software update has been running on our server and we are no longer using it.
However, the problem is that that the directory "/Library/Server/Software Update/Data/html/content" is now 144GB
I have tried the following command as detailed in Krypted's post here http://krypted.com/mac-os-x/configure-the-software-update-service-on-mavericks-s erver/
sudo serveradmin swupdate:PurgeUnused = yes
Unfortunately the command doesn't appear to be working as I just get a usage response for serveradmin.
Has anyone successfully purged these downloads? Is there another way to achieve this?

There's probably alot of questions on this subject asked already but I've gone over just about all of the possibly relevant ones that've been already asked and I still can't figure out what to do. I'm trying to move my complete history from an XP Firefox profile over to a Windows 7 profile on another computer. Do I just do it by copying the places.sqlite file within that XP profile over into my USB flash drive, then replacing the places.sqlite in the Winodws 7 profile with the one from the other one? And after the file's in the right profile will I be able to just view all the sites I viewed on the old computer on the new one's history dialog box? I only am transferring my XP history to my Windows 7 because I want to look at stuff several months back and it keeps expiring on me, even to the point of getting rid of a month of history a week or so ago. This brings me to my other point, I keep up fairly well with updating both of my Firefoxes but recently (and I think this was way, way after they updated the browser so the history isn't set to expire by days anymore) the history just isn't reliable anymore. My XP will not only expire older months of history faster and faster it seems, but individual websites at the end of each month will actually disappear as I view new ones, instead of it all staying in there and just expiring each old month as a whole. Also, random sites in every month scattered all over the list of URLs will just disappear, and random sites that I've only visited in the past couple days will insert themselves randomly into much older months of history, which makes it hard to figure out the URLs I've seen, this last one seems like a common problem from what I've read, and all of these problems seem to be slowly creeping into my Windows 7 as well when they were originally on only my XP. The thing is for a very long time my Windows 7 would keep every ounce of my history that I kept on it, unless of course I went through the Clear History process myself. Now it seems to be slowly deleting it and having all the other problems that I mentioned earlier. I've got 592 GB out of 931 GB that's free space on my Windows 7 that I want to transfer my XP history into, and my Control Panel System panel says I've got 8 gbs of RAM in total. If I need to get some other information on RAM mention how to do that if you could. So in total, how can I transfer my XP history over into my Windows 7 so I can view all the sites I viewed on my XP in my Windows 7 history panel, as well as view all the old expired and/or manually deleted history on my Windows 7, without worrying about whether it will expire itself while I'm viewing it and writing down the relevant URLs that I need to know about. If I can only keep all my history through installing an add-on, a link to a relevant legal add-on that'll work well on both operating systems would be appreciated. Thanks to all here. (:

The procedure you describe is putting content from two different IDs into a single library, which can readily be done.
However, each item of purchased content will still be tied to the ID from which it was originally purchased, and they will be treated separately for purposes of Cloud, Match, Purchase History, etc.

In case I visited a web page several times, how can I see all the visits I made to this page? The data I get in History is the Visit date (which is the last visit date) and the Count, but I would like to see the date and time of all the visits to this web page. I found a program (MozillaHistoryView) that gives me the first and the last visit date, but still I do not see the intermediary visits. (The file I use to get the data is a history.dat file).
Does anybody have an answer?

You could use Global Search (Ctrl-K) and enter the address or name, then filter the results by checking the appropriate box for Filters or People.

I am able to open PDFs from the Internet normally using the Adobe Reader X plugin, but for some reason, it doesn't kick in when I open local PDF files.
I am using Firefox 4.0.1 and Adobe Reader X.

Do you have any graphics editing software like photoshop or something similar.?
Surely you can just open both images, resize the image you want to add, then copy and paste it into the main image. Save this as a new file and set it as the background.
If you need a graphics editing program you can download one called The Gimp for free. Just make sure you have X11 installed.
