How can I remove an app forever, even from the cloud?

There are a couple of apps that showed up on my iPhone -- I think my offspring downloaded them after they swiped my password >:( -- anyway, I removed them from my phone, but they still show up in the App Store > Updates > Purchased.  I would like for them to go away forever and ever, mainly because the offspring share the same Apple ID for apps, and they're really not appropriate.  If someone could point me in the right direction, that would be awesome.  Thanks!

You cannot delete them from icloud at all.
You can hide them:

How can I remove my credit card information from the app store?  I would like to have an account without the credit card information.
I would like to put in my credit card only when I am ready to purchase.

On your computer's iTunes you should be able to edit your payment info by going into the Store > View Account menu option and logging into your account, and on your account's details page there should be a payment link.  If you are doing it on your phone then tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and tap 'View Apple ID' on the popup - that should also give you a payments link on your account's page.

If you don't get the 'none' option on the payment details screen then do you owe iTunes anything or have any pre-orders/subscriptions due : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5366 ?

  • HT4914 How can you tell which songs are downloaded from the cloud on an ipad

How can you tell which songs are downloaded on the iPad from the cloud?

I know ipad albums are more like tagging photos rather than putting them in folders. I just have a nagging feeling I missed some pics and I have too many to try to go figure out one by one. I don't look at my photos from the camera roll, only from albums I tagged just because I imported photos from different sources and the dates and order is really messed up. I just want to know that I am viewing all the photos from like this vacation or that event and there's none I missed that are only in the camera roll.

  • HT1918 how can i remove my credit card details from the iphone

I fed my friends credit card details on my iPhone to purchase some apps, but whenever i am buying anything now on, the system does not prompt and the amount gets deducted from my friends account. Need to know how to remove the credit card details from the account.

    From that HT3702 page :
If you update your billing information, the iTunes Store or Mac App Store will place an authorization hold on your payment card account, usually in the amount of 1 USD or the local currency equivalent, to verify your account information.
You might see authorization requests on your online statement. These requests aren't actual charges; they are tests to confirm that your payment card account is active and has available funds to accommodate transactions. Authorization holds are removed by your financial institution shortly after your purchase clears. The time it takes to remove authorization requests varies by financial institution.
The number of days that it takes to diappear varies by bank, but it's usually a few days - though with the weekend coming up it might take an extra day or two

  • How can I stop iTunes downloading every podcast from the cloud when I only want unplayed podcasts to show in iTunes?

When I set iTunes to automatically download all new episodes and only keep unplayed episodes, it downloads every episode in every one of my podcasts feeds. This means thousands of files, as not every XML feed hosts only a few files. Some host hundreds.
How can I get rid of all these podcasts that I don't want to display? The old way was a superior user experience to the way it is now.

My workaround for this is to set up a smart playlist. I hope this is another one of the issues that gets cleard up when Apple eventually releases an 11.1.1 update.

  • How can i lock an app i downloaded from the App Store?

I downloaded and app where i put some important info, can you help me to ask for password for using that app?

You are not addressing Apple here. We are users just like you. This is a user to user forum for technical help from other users. The phone has the ability to have a passcode to lock it, but except for restrictions, there is no way to password individual applications. If you would like, you can provide feedback to Apple requesting features.

  • How can I remove Norton 360 Safe Search from the Norton Tool Bar? There's no options button or toggle in 360.

I have upgraded Norton 360 to 2013 on my desktop PC, and now I can't get rid of the Safe Search pane in the Norton Toolbar in Firefox 21. Previously I'd been able to turn it off.
I can't find a button on the toolbar (I checked the circle logo), and no options in the Norton Settings, and I've tried to find something on this via Symantec but had no luck, except being asked to join the Norton Family service when I don't have any children!
Can I edit Firefox About:Config to get rid of it? I have Firefox 23 on my laptop, which I upgraded from Firefox 14 immediately after I'd upgraded 360 to 2013 (the day before my desktop), which also had the Safe Search pane removed before the installation, and that is unchanged. Both run on XP SP3.
I can't believe that simply upgrading Firefox again to 23 will fix this, as there is no Options button on the Norton Toolbar running on the laptop either, and obviously the Settings options in 360 are identical.
    Thanks
    Kif
(BTW, Mozilla - it's "Add Automatically", not "Automatically Add". Please don't mash my language!)

    Sorry for the long delay.
Yes, it's in IE8 and I can't turn if off there, either.

  • How can I remove an app that someone else downloaded on my device with their Apple ID

Re: How can I remove an App on my MacBook Air that I don't want?in response to Jax | This helped me
Drag the app icon out of the Apps folder and drop it in the Trash. If you want to make sure that you got all associated files use a deletion app such as AppCleaner.
    Hi Dah.veed
I read your advice to uninstall an app.using AppCleaner. This seems confusing. When I check the file location to see the total package contents, the file shows considerable more MB's than when I use AppCleaner and not near as much.Using AppCleaner would mean I would be leaving a considerable amount of residual garbage. Why is the AppCleaner not cleaning everything out.If i was to delete from the file location and send it to trash, would I be deleting support files.
    Thanks for your help.

How can I remove an app I no longer want?

Press and hold any of the apps and after a couple of seconds or so they should start to shake. Then press the 'x' in the left corner to delete the ones that you don't want, and when you've finished deleting press the home button so as to stop the shaking. If you don't get the 'x' on any of the apps that you've downloaded (you can't delete built-in apps) then check that Settings > General > Restrictions > Deleting Apps isn't set 'off'

  • HT4009 How can I remove/delete apps I have downloaded in iTunes?

    Hi,
How can I remove/delete apps I have downloadedin iTunes?
I have the Lite versions that I try and then buy the PRO version.
Now all the LITE's are cluttering my account.
Also some of the apps that I downloaded are not required/wanted now. Can I delete them?
    Thanks

You can delete them from your computer's iTunes and/or from your device, but you can't currently permanently delete them from your purchase history, all you can do is hide them so that they are less visible : hiding and unhiding (the ability to hide items directly on a device doesn't appear to work in iOS 6)

  • How can I remove updated apps on app store page after they are updated and say open?

HOW CAN I REMOVE UPDATED APPS FROM UPDATE PAGE ON IPAD3 IOS7 AFTER THEY ARE UPDATED AND SAY OPEN?

    You don't.
Apple has instituted auto updating , this is a feature for users to check what has updated recently.
The open button opens the app.
It will keep a rolling list, about 20-3O days back.

  • How do I remove my App store information from a Mac about to be sold

How do I remove my App Store information from
a Mac about to be sold ?

Before you sell or give away your computer, in addition to the steps mentioned in this support article, take these steps:
Run Apple Diagnostics or the Apple Hardware Test. The buyer will do this (or he should), and you don't want to be surprised by the results.
Reset the PRAM and the SMC, which might contain personal information.
If you set a firmware password, remove it by running Firmware Password Utility in Recovery mode.
If you activated FileVault in OS X 10.7 or later, turn it off.
If you use Boot Camp, the partition must be deleted.
If you created any other data partitions on the internal drive, remove them in Disk Utility.
Erase the data partition(s) with the option to zero out data. An SSD doesn't need to be zeroed.
You can't legally or practically transfer any software downloaded from the Mac App Store to the new owner of the machine, even if it was free. That includes OS X, so if you upgraded to OS X 10.7 or later, you must reinstall an older OS, either from the installation media, if applicable, or by starting up in Internet Recovery mode (option-command-R at the startup chime.) If you installed from physical media, deliver those to the new owner.
If you're selling the machine, or donating it in working order, and it originally shipped with OS X 10.4 or 10.5, then you have the option of installing either from the discs that came with it or from a retail Snow Leopard disc (which you must then transfer with the machine.) The buyer should understand that if he doesn't get the original discs from you, he won't get the bundled iLife applications or the Apple Hardware Test. Replacements for the original discs can be ordered from Apple.
The new owner will have to redownload any software that came from the App Store, including OS X upgrades, under his or her Apple ID. If you ever updated the bundled iLife applications (Garage Band, iMovie, and iPhoto) through the App Store, you can't transfer those either.
Remove the machine from your list of registered products. If it's still covered by an AppleCare Protection Plan, transfer the coverage to the new owner by following the instructions in the AppleCare Terms and Conditions (under the heading "Transfer of Plan.")
