How can i replace original media with newly transcoded optimised media in the timeline?

I have transcoded new optimised media (Prores 422) after importing and partly editing some original Canon H.264 material. I now want to replace the original H.264 edit with the matching new pro res 422 clips so I can playback more smoothly on a MBPro. I can't find a menu command in FCP X to allow me to do this other than during the initial import process. But it does allow you to create transcoded material after the initial import; how do you link/replace to it?

Welcome to one great feature of FCP X: what you are asking for is not needed. It is done for you automatically.
When you have selected "original or optimized media" selected in your preferences, FCP X will use optimized media if available, or original media if you haven't transcoded. So really there is no step 3 :-)

Then delete all your iCloud contacts by going to icloud.com on your computer, log into your iCloud account and open Contacts, click on All Contacts, to the right click on any single contact to select it, click on the gear-shaped icon at the bottom left and choose Select All, then press the Delete key on your keyboard to delete them all. Then click on the gear-shaped icon again, choose Import vCard and navigate to the vCard you saved earlier to import your contacts to iCloud.

Can anyone please tell me how can I format my output with replacing a column value with a specific value which actually depends on the present value of the column
I am executing the following SQL statement

My Present output is:
State No.Of Instance

I want to replace the value in the column state as follows
State No.OfInstances
Completed 3
Faulted 28
I want "1" to be reppaced by "Completed" and "3" to be replaced by "Faulted"
Is is possible with SQL or PL/SQL , if it is then how can I achieve this required result. Please help!!

I guess this CASE clause can be simulated by a DECODE and also it is very easy to use.

How can I replace a color with a pattern fill?

Hi everyone, thanks for any responses in advance!
I've created quite a detailed design that works with 4 pixels per cm and 16 colors, canvas size 120x170cm. I'm wanting to replace all of a single color with a pattern, is there a way to do this?
I can replace a color with another flat color by using adjustments etc... but I want to fill the entire of one color area with a pattern instead. The only way I can think to do this would be to use the magic wand tool to select every pixel of the same color, then create a new layer and overlay with a fill of the desired pattern, however as the design is so detailed it would take me an awful long time to select each color!
Can anyone suggest a quicker more efficiant way to do this?

You can define WM movement type in V_T333:
SPRO > LE > WM > Activities > Transfers > Define Movement Types - here you have to define WM mvt 101 for your WH ("ABC").

I'll be picky here on nomenclature ;-)
Tables and other Obects can be locked, but Sheets can't be locked.
If you wish to shield some parts of your content from accidental modification, arrange your layout to put that sensitive content in tables separate from the tables that need to be accessed, and lock the sensitive ones. It's also possible, but rather clunky, to place shields over the sensitive area. A shield can be made by Inserting a Shape and positioning the shape over the sensitive area. With the shape selected, go to the Graphics Inpector and set the Opacity of the shape to zero. You will then be able to see through the shape but will no be able to Click through it to get at the cells below. This method is inconvenient because you have to worry about keeping the shape aligned with the table should the table need to change size or shape.

I have an entity bean with 79 CMP fields. i have created the bean and created the table for the same also. but when i tried to build the dictionary, i am getting an error message as given below,
"Dictionary Generation: DB2:checkNumberOfColumns (primary key of table IMP_MANDANT): number of columns (79) greater than allowed maximum (64) IMP_MANDANT.dtdbtable MyAtlasDictionary/src/packages"
Is it mean that we can not create tables with fields more than 64?
How can i create tables with more than 64 fields?

How can I sync my iPod with another iPod as I use the same iTunes account?

How can I get rid of sound at a certain spot in the timeline?

I have some video shot with my gopro camera, every time I switch hands with it - it makes a noise the mic picks up that I want to get rid of. Can that be done in premiere pro?

RCHjr what Peru Bob is suggesting may benefit from a little more detail. He is suggesting you find another clip with what is called "room tone" or background sound. If you cut out all of the sound where you handle the camera your movie may sound strange at the point everything is removed.
Find a part of or a clip where there is consistent background sound with nothing unusual. It needs to be a little longer than the section you cut out. Alt click on the sound part of the clip and drag it somewhere clear on the timeline, this will copy it without the video.
Listen to it by itself -expand the track and click on the S button at the far left to solo it, make sure it is clean- nothing unusual. This is best done using headphones.
Place it on an audio track under the clip you cut the sound out of. You now have many ways to blend them; you can ripple delete, use keyframes or the clip mixer or transitions to blend the two tracks together.
I do a lot of GoPro pole camera work on moving boats on the ocean, every time the camera body or pole is rotated or touches a boat just what you describe happens. There are more sophisticated ways to try to fix it in Audition but the clone and blend method should do the trick. It's also helpful to shoot twenty or thirty seconds of "room tone" which is asking everyone to be quiet and rolling the camera(or sound recorder) for every unique soundscape.

How can I REPLACE original RAW files with JPG's and keep my 'Develop mode' edits?

'edits' = Edits made in develop mode.
'CR2' = My RAW image file format.
I have existing CR2's with edits for them saved in Lightroom.
I want to replace the CR2's with JPG's, and do nothing else. I want those JPG's to inherit the CR2's edits, but I DO NOT want the edits to be permanently applied to the image.
If I export the CR2's (which have edits) to JPG's, the edits will be permanently applied to them. I do not want this.
If I export the CR2's to JPG's without the edits, I have no way of getting the edits back and will have to redo the work if I use that photo again.
Any solutions? I've been trying for a while and have no idea how to do this.
Q: Why not keep the CR2's?
A: I am uploading these files to an online host (S3) as my primary storage method and uploading CR2's takes way too long with my internet speeds. Furthermore, online storage costs money.
Q: Why not shoot with JPGs instead of shooting raw?
A: I do my initial edits with the raw files and then archive them as JPG's to save storage space. They won't be raw anymore if I apply future edits, but I still have the option of retouching them from the 'original' state and still have my old edits preserved.

Probably the best thing for you to do is simply use lossy DNG format (e.g. export as, or convert to..): raw data is re-formatted with jpeg compression (full-rez or reduced-rez), but all raw settings apply.
If you insist on trying to have a true jpeg file with (mostly) raw settings, then:
The simplest way I can think of to do it without a script or plugin:
* Reset the raw photo (consider preserving things that don't translate well, like profile-based lens corrections and white balance).
* Export jpeg
* Un-reset the image (e.g. using edit history or pre-reset snapshot).
* Sync settings from raw to jpeg (note: omit settings that don't transfer well, or that were not reset..).
* Optionally: Delete raw
To automate/streamline would require a script or plugin.

The client wanted some more "obvious" buttons there because people are not understanding that those little squares are buttons. Arrows may work better. Can anyone advise?

How can i create a gradient with four colours that graduate from the four corners of a rectangle?

I've been trying various ways of doing this and nothing's worked so far; I've tried blending two gradients, tried blending four different colours but no luck with that either.
What I'm looking to do is exactly what is displayed when you double click on the colour picker and you select R, G or B. Any help will be much appreciated.

How can I make PSE open with a blank slate - nothing in the Projects Bin?

When I open PSE 10, I want and expect a blank workspace. But when PSE opens, the last open file always appears, even if I saved or closed it before closing PSE.
I don't see any pref to correct this, and I shouldn't have to close a file before I can begin working.

This is a lion thing, not a PSE thing. First go to system preferences>General and turn off restore windows:
Then go to your username>library>saved application states and delete the one(s) for PSE. You will need to option-click the Go menu in the Finder to see this library, since it's normally hidden in Lion.
EDIT If you want to turn it off only for PSE, it doesn't work that way. You will need to delete the saved state every time you want to start PSE if you don't want to disable this feature for all programs.
