How can I retrieve password in order to download updates?

We receive many messages with updates for the computer, especially for new iphone in order to use itunes.
Neither of us remembers the password. Any way to retrieve it?

Boot from your install disc, go to Utilities>reset password. Choose the account you want a new password for and enter it, verify it and click on save. The new password will work for everything unless you have a separate password for keychain.

The easiest method would be to restore them from the last Time Machine backup made just prior to the update.
Or use a file recovery application to recovery them. Most have a demo mode so you can determine if it can find the files you need before purchasing it. Go to MacUpdate.com and do a search for "recover files" to get a list of potential candidates.

Signed up for free software download of Lion, I got the code to redeem it on the App Store but lost the code, how can I retrieve it to get the software update for free?

I bought my new Macbook on July 23, so that qualified me for the free Lion software update. I entered in all my info and then accidently clicked out of the screen before I wrote down the code to redeem it. I tried to do it again but of course it said my system had already been issued a redeem code. Is there a way I can get it back so I can get the update for free?

I got some help from an apple assistant on the phone. It is kind of round about way to get in.
Here is what he said to do and it is working for me...
a. on the device that is asking you for the security questions go to "settings", > "store" >
      tap the Apple ID and choose view"Apple ID" and sign in.
b. Tap on payment information and add a credit/debit card of your preference then select
      "done", in the upper right corner
c. sign out and back into iTunes on the device by going to "settings"> "store" > tap the
      Apple ID and choose "sign-out" > Tap "sign -in" > "use existing Apple ID" and you
      should be asked to verify your security code for the credit /debit card and NOT the
      security questions.
d. At this time you can remove the card by going back in to edit the payment info and
      selecting "none" as the card type then saving the changes by selecting "done". You
      should now be able to use your iTunes store credit without answering the security
      questions.
It's working for me ...I just have to put in my 3 digit security pin from the credit card I am using.

If you mean the passcode, there's no way to retrieve it. If she enters it incorrectly too many times, the phone will become disabled and she will have to restore it to remove the passcode. If this happens, have her follow one of the solutions listed at the bottom of this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212. The preferable solution is to back it up and restore it in iTunes on the last computer it was synced with (see "If you have previously synced your device with iTunes").

In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.

How can I retrieve an ex employees Apple ID password when she can't even remember it? Plus Apple ID used to her company email address, which no longer exists for her. Apple support says it will send an email to her so I can change the password, but I'll never get it, since her email no longer works, she is not with us no more. Help please! I need to pass this iPhone to another, new employee.

You cannot retrieve her password. Note the Apple ID, in Apple's eyes, belongs to _her_. It is not the property of the company. If she wishes to reset the password, she can go to the Apple ID site: https://appleid.apple.com/ and try and change it. If she doesn't know the password and has no access to the email address it may prove challenging if she provided no backup email address.
But I'm not sure this is the root of the problem. If the iPhone is locked using "activation lock" and it's running iOS 7 then yes, it will need to be unlocked. If your company has proof of purchase of the iPhone, you may wish to try contacting AppleCare. Otherwise, she can release it by going to her iCloud page and disabling it.

Select Passwords on the left.
Type Wi-Fi (or the name of your Wi-Fi network0 in the search field top right corner of the Keychain Access window.
Then right or control click that keychain then click Get Info then selec the Attributes tab then click: Show password
You may need to entier your admin password to proceed.

I made a document in Acrobat 9 on my Win7 computer, password protected it, typed it in a 2nd time, then saved the document. Just seconds later, I went to test the document to make sure it'd open, so I tried to open it, and ..... it wouldn't open. It said 'wrong password'. You can't recover the password. If you could, I could have as well and the whole purpose of encryption would be moot. This is why it is a good practice to save the original PDF before you secure it.
If the password that you created was a really strong one (other than word 'password' or some other word) I doubt that the password recovery programs would do the work. They are usually good only for fairly simple passwords.
Acrobat X added new way of encryption that is almost impossible to crack and Acrobat XI added the password strength indicator which tells you how good the password that you're entering is.
