How can i revert back to an earlier version of Firefox? I have had nothing but slow, slow loading eversince I upgraded to4.01.1. I hate this version of Firefox. I hate the toolbar, it's a horrible colour and I can hardly read it.
Ever since I upgraded my Firefox to 4.01.1, everthing loads much, much slower.......I can go make a coffee while the page loads. Sometimes, it is soooooooooo slow, that it times out and I have to start all over again. Even when I sign on and load google, sometimes it takes forever.
I also do not like the toolbar at the top. It's grey and hard to read, what is wrong with white?
Can I revert back to the earlier version of Firefox? It worked much better. I use ancestry.com a lot and they even recommend a 3.??? version of Firefox.
Anything is better, so I don't have to sit and wait and wait and wait.
Thank you, Zenos. I tried rolling back to v31.2.0, since I had not encountered problems prior to December. However, that didn't help. So I followed your valuable suggestion to revert to v24.6; that seems to have done the trick.
I would like to mark this problem as "Solved" -- the rollback seems to have worked. However, since my original post was a complex mix of things, before I do that, should I post the individual problem sets that I had noted (address fields/nicknames problems -- numbers 1-3; default font problem -- number 4; attachment reminder problem -- number 5) as separate issues which have not been solved?
Do you know if these various issues are being worked on? I'm glad to have the temporary fix of rolling back to an earlier version, but I'd like to get back on the current update schedule at some point if and when these problems have been corrected.

before I downloaded 4.0 I used to be able to use more options with my work email, Lotus notes....now I get all kinds of errors....I never had any problems with the previous version.
Firefox 3.6 will still be supported with security updates for a while, so if you don't want to work on troubleshooting the specific problems, you can roll back.
First, make a backup of your computer for safekeeping. To back up Firefox, see [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information].
Next, download and save Firefox 3.6 to your desktop for future installation. http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all-older
Close Firefox 4, and uninstall it. Do not remove your personal data and settings, just the program.
Then finally you can reinstall Firefox 3.6. Unless you have installed an incompatible add-on, it should pick up where you left off. If there are serious issues, please post back with details.
Note: I haven't actually tried this myself!

How can I revert back to an earlier version of Itunes?
I installed the newest version and it took EVERYTHING off my hard drive. A lot of it is crap I don't want on there. Can I revert back to an earlier version of Itunes that only has whats on my Ipod? I tried system restore and had no luck. Thanks

Since purchasing the Note 3 in October i have had nothing but issues. I went through all the steps and eventually I was sent a different phone, which was working for the most part until the recent upgrade. Now I am back to the old issues, no service, it actually says not moblie network available, when everyone else in my family has coverage and are on my plan with iphones. I am missing text messages and dropping calls left and right. This is unacceptable for the cost of this phone and my service. I have did a hard reset etc. What else can I do??
Use the trackpad to scroll, thats what it was designed for. The scroll bars automatically disappear when not being used and will appear if you scroll up or down using the trackpad.
This is a user-to-user forum and most people will post on here if they have problems. You very rarely get people posting to say there update went smooth. The fact is the vast majority of Mountain Lion users will not be experiencing any major problems with the OS, or maybe with apps which are not compatible, but thats hardly Apple's fault if developers don't update their apps. -
While having a perfectly running iTunes and all programs associated, I was notified of the iTunes 10.4 upgrade. After following typical directions, I have had nothing but trouble. First “iTunesHelper was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 5)” occurred. Following directions found at https://discussions.apple.com/message/15087646#15087646, I now get the following “iTunes.exe - System Error The program can't start because AVFoundationCF.dll is still missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.”, Along with “iTunesHelper was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 126)” I am running Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit on HP TouchSmart tx2-1275dx. I was one week away from buying an iPad but not if this is what I have to deal with. Please help

I have had nothing but problems after downloading Lion and turning on ICloud. Can anyone tell if I can delete photos from Photostream and if not why not! it is infuriating
PhotoStream is purely a conduit for transferring pictures added to or taken on one device onto all the others seamlessly. Photos are held there only for 30 days. There is no way of accessing, viewing or deleting individual photos; you can reset the entire Photostream, erasing everything.

I am so discusted with this whole thing. I feel like I have been taken advantage of and paid way more than I should have. I could not figure the phone out and now trying to return it but once again having problems. I am old and upset about all the hidden fees I was trying to catch up but each month more charges. I am on social security disability and just can't pay any more of the extra's? I don't want this phone and now it looks like you added time on my old phone for what? that contract was paid? Well if you got the Phone Pggray43 at a Local Corporate store in your Area) you should be able to return it as long as you have all the contents.! Phone, Charger and any other accessories that came with it the Box of Course.. As long as you have not went past the 14 Day return.. the store can go over what you used as in Air Time and Data..
Now if you've went past the 14 Day return you be Liable to pay a E.T.F = Early Termination Fee the fee for this is around $300 so hopefully you have not went past the 14 Day return window the Manager if Available is the one I would talk to tell them your on Social Security and you just can't afford a phone as this I'm sure they'll work with you to get something solved..

My questions are how can I uninstall Lion and revert back to Snow Leopard, and will this causes all my settings to revert back to default mode?
Downgrade Lion to Snow Leopard
1. Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area. If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing. SMART info will not be reported on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Quit DU and return to the installer. Install Snow Leopard.
This will erase the whole drive so be sure to backup your files if you don't have a backup already. If you have performed a TM backup using Lion be aware that you cannot restore from that backup in Snow Leopard (see below.) I suggest you make a separate backup using Carbon Copy Cloner 3.4.1.
If you have Snow Leopard Time Machine backups, do a full system restore per #14 in Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions. If you have subsequent backups from Lion, you can restore newer items selectively, via the "Star Wars" display, per #15 there, but be careful; some Snow Leopard apps may not work with the Lion files.
Because this erases the drive and installs a new copy of Snow Leopard, you are effectively back to an original factory install of Snow Leopard. -

it said to set up a new iTunes which I done but now it's saying iTunes is an incompatable programe???
The update 10.5 has created more grief as I cant sync my iPhone to my iTunes I have tried the file sharing as
I can't update anything but that's greyed over and I can't tick it?
Every time I open iTunes it opens then doesn't respond, so I have to close and reopen several times and
eventually I can play a tune at least, which I guess is what keeps me going ......... hahaha

I have a POP mail account on my ipad. When I trash my emails, they reappear later that day or the next day. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and what to do to stop it? Thanks
I have that every now and then, especially if I have an interruption when using emails, like network loss, etc.
I think the email app loses track somehow of what emails it has fetched from the server and redownloads them.
If this continues, you can try deleting the email account and recreating it, but I occasionally have had this issue since I got the iPad 1 a year ago.
Note: My settings are Delete from server = Never.
(I clear the server's email with my laptop, not my iPad.) -
If I reply to an email instead of composing a new one, the original message is gone. It is my business. Yahoo mail then will not just the original message, it has all the conversations between me and my customer.
Further, yahoo made itself my default browser. My default has been mozilla firefox for many years but i cannot even pull up firefox anymore.
I am about to quit yahoo and go through the inconvenience of having all my customers change my name again. I have a mac, did the preferences to identify firefox as default but yahoo is still there
I HATE YAHOO--I was just going to use their email for my business because I started receiving so much spam on my Mac mail.You should be able to switch your Firefox settings to your preferred home page and search engine. For example, this extension will restore Google as your search engine, the built-in home page as your home page, and the normal "new tab" page: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/searchreset/
But you also need to check for any Yahoo-specific add-ons that could keep driving your settings back to Yahoo. You can do that on the Add-ons page. Either:

In the left column, click Extensions. Then review that list for anything Yahoo-related, unrecognized, or nonessential and disable those. -
It won't load properly, freezes, crashes unexpectedly, won't pull up PDF files from web sites and has issues running with hotmail. I've used Firefox for years and have never had this kind of problem. How do I downgrade to an older version? The new version 4 is obviously not ready to run and is riddled with problems.

Turn off updating to keep your good working version or you will be forced to use the new version that is missing some well used features. -
Since update to iOS 7 on my iPad 2 I have had nothing but crashes and wonkiness. What can I do?
Initially there were many frozen screens. Yesterday that stopped, but the crashes are increasing. It goes to the black screen with the Apple, and can happen as often as a couple of times in a minute. I am going crazy!
(A) Reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

I have been on many of applications such as facetime,motion fx, photo booth etc but i cannot seem to get my camera working all what happen is 'Camera not available' which is rather annoying when i woke up to record a video, everything went to peices unfortunately. That will be tricky, if you already upgraded your Aperture library to version 3.4.1.
You need to restore an earlier version of your Aperture Library from your backup.
You need to restore an earlier Aperture version.
How did you buy Aperture? Do you have installation media or a serial number for Aperture 3?
And do you have a TimeMachine backup of your Aperture Library or a vault?
What is the problem with your current Aperture Library? Maybe it will be easier to fix your current system then to downgrade.
