How can I save an "effect" and use it later as a default in my timeline

I created a splitt screen. Now a want to reuse this effect later in the timeline. How can I save this effect?
The same goes for titels. I arrange my own titels and want to reuse them later in editing again. So that I Only have to change the words and not all of the arrangement I mad.
I also miss a featured titel that can stretch across the screen. Most titelsonly offer a limited space for the text.

your are right, I can make the titels as big as I want, but not as long as I want.
Do you have an idea how I can work around this.

how can a copy the splitt screen effect from the timeline (as a compound clip) to the event browser (I suppose that is the window on the top left with all the event clips)

I know the function "write to spreadsheet file.vi"
can append the data
to file. You can use the "concatenate strings" to display the date,
time as well as data... Hope this help.

It is simply too painful to have to zip everything up into a single file to send. MHT format has been available for years now from IE, and with every new FF release it's the first thing I look for. I have been using FF for years, and hate having to come out of it, over into IE |(which I even took out of startup) and key everything in again, in order to send somebody something in a convenient format that they can open with a single click.
I can't believe this hasn't been asked before, so have you looked at it and rejected it? Have MS kept the file format secret?

This is not really an answer just my comments on your question.
I am sure I recollect efforts being made to get mhtml to work with FF.
Probably the important thing to remember about .mhtml is that if other browsers do support it they may need addons, and may not necessarily render the content correctly/consistently.
There are FF addons designed for archiving webpages, you could try them, but that then assumes the recipient has the same software.
You could simply save the page from FF to your XP pc; then offline open it with and save it using IE, before then emailing using FF, and attaching the .mht or mhtml file that you have now created on your PC.
As an alternative method, in some cases it could be worth considering taking a screen grab of the required page, then sending that to the recipient as a single email attatchment using either a bitmap or jpeg file format for instance.
Something such as an airline booking may be designed with a print option, possibly it could be worthwile looking at sending the print file itself as an email attachment.

Most Simple Back Up:
Drag the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to another Disk. This will make a copy on that disk.
Slightly more complex: Use an app that will do incremental back ups. This is a very good way to work. The first time you run the back up the app will make a complete copy of the Library. Thereafter it will update the back up with the changes you have made. That makes subsequent back ups much faster. Many of these apps also have scheduling capabilities: So set it up and it will do the back up automatically.
Example of such apps: Chronosync - but there are many others. Search on MacUpdate or the App Store
If you want to back up the Photos only:
Export them using the File -> Export command.

How can I save decuments and PDF files?

You first need an app on your iPad that supports the type of document that you want to store on it - unlike a 'normal' computer the iPad doesn't have a file system, and everything on it has to be associated with an app.
The options include Apple's Pages app for Word documents, Numbers for Excel spreadsheets and Keynote for Powerpoint. And from third-parties apps such as Documents To Go ('premium' version) and QuickOffice Pro HD.
For PDFs there are free apps such as Apple's iBooks app and also Adobe Reader - and paid-for apps such as GoodReader (which also supports read-only of word and excel documents).
As to how you then get the file to your chosen app will depend upon what the app supports - different apps have different ways of copying their content to/from a computer e.g. via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to iTunes, via your wifi network, email, dropbox etc. For iBooks you can add PDFs to your computer's iTunes via File > Add To Library and then sync them to the iBooks app via the Books tab. For Pages, Numbers and Keynote there is help here.

It's really a very simple process and the long and short of it is that you connect your iPad to your computer with the cable, and launch whatever app you would use to import photos from a camera card. The detailed instructions are here.

How do I do this?

A couple of methods.
If you want the bookmarks on the other computer to be replaced with the bookmarks on your current computer, follow the procedure in the [[Backing up and restoring bookmarks]] article to backup the bookmarks to a json file which you can email, and then restore those onto the other computer.
If you want to add the bookmarks to the other computer, but still keep the bookmarks that are already on the other computer, you need to export them to an html file. To do that see [[Exporting bookmarks to an HTML file]]. You can email the html file, and import it to the other computer, for details see [[Importing Bookmarks from an HTML File]].

I have constructed my first website using Dreamweaver with five tabbed pages. When I preview in Safari everything is there and it all works seemlessly. When I then try to save it on my mac to user - web - sites - site when I launch the page on my domain I get the background and text and a few Gifs but most of the other gifs and the navigation buttons are missing. I am very much the newbie but feel I am a few strands of knowledge short of making this work.
Very frustrating. Can you please help?

First thing I'd check is to see if your links to those assets are relative to the document as opposed to relative to your hard drive!
An example: Let's say your site is in a folder called "MyWebsite". Within that folder you have a folder called "images" with your images, a folder called "style" with your CSS and finally all of your HTML pages lie singly within the "MyWebsite" root.
To call your CSS you would point links this way "../style/MyStyleSheet.css" - where ".." = root folder (MyWebsite), "/style" = the folder called "style", and "MyStyleSheet.css" = your style sheet.
Your links to images would look like, "../images/ImageName.jpg" - again the "dot dot" points to the root folder ("MyWebsite"), "/images" then directs it to the folder called "images" and the "ImageName.jpg" would be the actual image that is linked.
Following relative filepaths (relative to the "root" folder) will ensure that regardless of where you move the "MyWebsite" folder, all the links will continue to work.
If this does not answer your problem, please post a URL to the site so we can look at your code and perhaps provide more in-depth answers.

far as I understand from the MSDN site, it seems that the Picture
datatype is a specific VB only datatype. Most probably it is a handle
(uInt32) value as far as other programs including LabVIEW are
concerned, but there is no way that LabVIEW could deal with this
datatype directly.
If you can convert this datatype with some VB fucntions into a HBITMAP
or HDIB then you could call some Win32 API functions to extract the
relevant bitmap data from this common Win32 datatype and get somewhere
from there. OR it maybe that VB itself has other functions to extract
the bitmap data, color palette and other attributes of the Picture
datatype. Don't expect LabVIEW to be able to deal with the Picture
datatype directly though, this is really a proprietary VB thing.

I'm using P7 with Oracle XE on a stand alone computer, I am unable to connect to my Primavera DB, the issue started when my computer slowed down and i just restarted it...while disc checking computer delet some of the file. may be this is the reason.
I didnt loss my login name and pasword as this is standard as "ADMIN" after restarting the computer when i tried to login Primavera with same admin as lagin name and password this message is appear "Unable to connect to the database. Would you like to configure the database connection now?"
What is the best and the safest way to get back to normal situation where I can have all my data back, could anyone please help me? How to I back it up and restore to normal?

You will be configuring the connection, it shouldnt mess with the database at all. You are making sure the connection between P6 and the database is setup correctly. When you click on the elipses (...) next to database on the log in screen, does it show anything under "Details"?
That being said there will be a way to backup/copy the database using the database utility not P6. With SQL it is fairly easy so I assume in Oracle it should be too. The database tool wont be application specific so you will need to look at the Oracle database documentation. For SQL it can be as simple as highlighting the P6 database (PMDB) and running the backup tool. You end result is a .mdf and .ldf which are your backup files. Don't know what Oracle's will look like.
