How can I save controller assignments with a project?

How can I save controller assignments with a project, so that I can use different controller assignments for the same synth in another project
Let's say I am controlling a Logic instrument with MIDI and CC data sent from MaxMSP. I have created a composition and would now like to make another one, with new assignments of controllers, in a new project. Is it possible to save the first piece's c.a. with it's project, so that I can switch between projects and have the controller assignments switch accordingly? Is that something that's become possible in Logic X with Smart Control or another workaround?

With standard instruments you can cable transformers before the objects translating incoming cc's to "fader" events.
With the new plug-ins they've hacked into Logic (ultrabeat, sculpture) this isn't possible, so your stuck with the "controller assignments" window which to me seems to be aimed at dedicated control surfaces and autoloads. My experiences with the controller assignments window aren't good, as i've found it drops incoming messages quite often.
Knowing how to do this(controller assignments per song) would give me a reason to open the controller assignments window again..Pretty useless to me otherwise.

Not supported by Apple. The only photos that can be imported from an iPhone are photos in the camera roll.

Select Save with Options>Development Distribution. You'll be prompted for the name of a .llb to save all of the VIs in. You can refer to the on-line help or the LabVIEW User Manual for more information.

How do I save Icon templates with the Project files?

My project files are stored in a folder, say, "My Documents\LabVIEW\My Project", and this folder, in turn, is saved under (Sub)Version Control. I'd like to include a sub-folder called "Icon Templates" that could contain the icon templates I'm using in this project, but they seem to be "forced" into "My Documents\LabVIEW Data\Icon Templates" (almost the same, but the "owning folder" is different).
Is there any way to change, preferably on a Project-by-Project basis, the default location for Icon Editor templates? I tried to figure this out, and saw that one could change where "3rd Party" templates were stored, but that didn't seem to do anything (maybe because I don't understand the concept of a "3rd Party"?).
An important (to me!) reason to accomplish this is that I want to commit my new icons when I commit the rest of the Project, and have them appear when I checkout the project on another machine (or do an update from the Repository).

Well, I thought of this as well. I did change Default Data Documents (which seems to be where Icon Editor expects to find its Templates file) to My Documents\LabVIEW (instead of LabVIEW Data), and that worked (sort of). But that still doesn't solve my problem. I have multiple projects -- My Docs\LabVIEW\Project 1, say, and My Docs\LabVIEW\Project 2, and want to have a specific set of icon templates for each stored, say, as Project 1\Icon Templates and Project 2\Icon Templates.
My problem is two-fold. First, there is a setting in Icon Editors, Tools, that seems to be designed to let you designate where your "special" templates are located, which I've set to, for example, My Docs\LabVIEW\Project 1\Icon Templates. However, when using the Icon editor, these templates never appear! It's as though it's still "locked" into the "3rd Party" sub-folder of the parent Icon Templates folder. Second, even if this worked (which it doesn't), is there a way to "embed" this setting as part of Project so that the settings "stay with the Project" (and can thereby be customized)? One important reason to do this is to simplify organizing Projects and folders on disk -- I keep them "together" (use the same structure for both, so a Project is contained, on disk, inside a single set of nested folders), which greatly simplifies and facilitates using Version Control to manage development.

How can I save an image with background transparency as an eps in photoshop?

I have to submit an eps of my logo and I would like it to have a transparent background. I have googled this many times, followed all of the suggestions and I'm still having trouble.

Follow the help text in PhS CS2. I have shown importat guidelines by bold text:
"To save a path as an image clipping path
Draw a work path that defines the area of the image you want to show.
Note: Paths are vector-based; therefore, they have hard edges. You cannot preserve the softness
of a feathered edge, such as in a shadow, when creating an image clipping path.
In the Paths palette, save the work path as a path.
Choose Clipping Path from the Paths palette menu, set the following options, and click OK:
For Path, choose the path you want to save.
For Flatness, leave the flatness value blank to print the image using the printer’s default value.
If you experience printing errors, enter a flatness value to determine how the PostScript interpreter
approximates the curve. The lower the flatness value, the greater the number of straight lines used
to draw the curve and the more accurate the curve. Values can range from 0.2 to 100.
In general, a flatness setting from 8 to 10 is recommended for high-resolution printing
(1200 dpi to 2400 dpi), and a setting from 1 to 3 for low-resolution printing (300 dpi to 600 dpi).
If you plan to print the file using process colors, convert the file to CMYK mode.
Save the file by doing one of the following:
To print the file using a PostScript printer, save in Photoshop EPS format, DCS, or PDF format.
To print the file using a non-PostScript printer, save in TIFF format and export to Adobe InDesign,
or to Adobe PageMaker® 5.0 or later. "
An image with clipping path contains everything outside the path as transparent.
Tested actually by PhS CS6.
Photoshop is not the right tool. Better use Illustrator or InDesign (ID for logos which are not too complex).
Graphical objects in IL or ID reside on a transparent background without any selection or clipping path
(PostScript concept).

How can I save a form with database connections with the info w/o requiring the connection again?

I have a form in LiveCycle ES2 that has an ODBC connection to an Access 2007 database. The form works great and all the data populates the form just fine, but next I need a way to save the generated form with the data so it can be sent and signed by people who won't (and can't) have a connection to the database. I am developing on a Windows 7, 64 bit machine and have Adobe Acrobat X Pro, and Adobe Reader X.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks for the quick response. I tried saving the form as Reader Extended in Acrobat Pro, but if I close the form I saved as extended, it still prompts for the data connection. Is there some setting in Adobe LiveCycle in the properties that maybe needs to be set? I have it set as a Dynamic XML Form. In form properties, there is a tab called data binding, should I have "Allow binding to data not defined by the default data connection" checked? Wasn't sure what "Add data nodes inside the filtered data hierarchy" would do either.

Hi, I'm new here and my english is not perfect so please, don't make me regret I joined this forum
The thing is that I have to print pdfs to pdfs with certain .joboptions and I really have no idea how to that.
I tried to make it by distiller, it printed the error about the 'CheckCompliance out of range' error so I deleted the file and I set all of the options by myself just to realize that distiller won't work with .pdf files. I couldn't find all of the options I need in the Acrobat save menu.
So... is there any solution to print/save pdf to pdf with joboptions I need?

I want to save the content in table to a text file. I used Write file.vi for doing that but the column headers didn't be saved. My column headers are changed depends on my testing result so that the column number is not fixed. Any suggestions?

You can retrieve column headers with the ColHdrs[] table property and save them to disk before the table contents.

How can i save a file with FileDialog?

i watched the forum but didn't find an answer to my problem. what i want is that after a klick on a button the FileDialog should appear. then i want choose a directory and enter the name for the new file.
then after clicking the ok button of the filedialog frame, i want to get the file name, which was entered, to create the new file and to store the data in it.
there must be a way, if not for what is the FileDialog good. ;-)

Use the FileDialog methods getFile() and getDirectory(). In the code I used, I just concatenated the directory and file and used that String as the file name for a FileReader.

I have a project that I'm working on and want to go back in and place some green screen footage into the original project. What do I have to do to be able to use and edit the green screen footage and place it into the original footage?

In FCPX? Just place the green screen footage over the storyline (as a connected clip) and apply the Keyer effect to the green screen footage (if the green screen is really good, you probably won't even have to make any adjustments to the keyer). You can also use the Transform parameters in the Video inspector to adjust size, positioning and orientation of the overlaid footage to fit into the storyline original.

Nearly dead senior project DVD...how can I save it?

How can I save my old high school project DVD to my hard drive? I have a senior project from back in the day that I'd love to keep but the disc is on its last legs. Can I somehow get it from the disc to my computer? I don't want to lose this video, I think I have the last copy. If it breaks, I'm going to lose the best part of those years. There's no copyright problems or anything, we just improve like kids for 20 minutes. I just don't know what to do to make sure we can make fun of each other forever.

If the DVD is not too badly damaged, you should be able to find a folder called Video TS on there and copy it to your computer. DVD Player will play the Video TS file as if it was the original DVD.

Please clarify what you mean by "resetting" the phone. When you reset the phone, no data is deleted. Do you actually mean Restore the phone? See the User Guide, Appendix B for the correct terminology,

I don't think Word can open docs created in Pages. Either buy Pages or contact the person who sent this to you and have them save the document in a compatible format for Word.... which entails them opening the document in question and clicking File/Export and picking Word from the format dropdown in the Pages program.
