How can I set my "attach file" system to always show the date and offer to resort?
When I want to attach a file to an email, or save it for that matter, I have to turn on Details instead of List in the View Menu. How can I set Thunderbird to have Details on as my default.

For use in the BB, the on-device format must be used...no PC contains the necessary file structure that the BB needs to find on the card in order to use it correctly. If you can no longer read the card via the BB nor the PC, then it's quite likely that your data is already destroyed. But, there are several PC utilities that claim to be able to recover Flash Memory devices such as SD cards...you should perhaps check those out (Zero Sum something or other? Can't recall specifically, but google will be your best friend in your quest.)

Not all carriers allow that to be set using preferences in the phone. Contact your carrier.

When one decide to edit controls or functions palletes, one of the options available is the insertion of a submenu and, when it´s done, the user is prompted to select which menu file - a file with a .mnu extension - he wants to use. All I want to know is how I can create a .mnu file so that it shows a picture I want - if instead of choosing a existent .mnu file I choose one that doesn´t exist, it will be created and a default picture will be shown. I went through the LabVIEW help without avail, so ...any help would be deeply appreciated !
If you wish to change the default submenu Icon to yours, simply right-click on the submenu Icon and select "Edit Submenu Icon..."

How can I save an attachment file To my iPad memory.
An iPad doesn't have a file system like a 'normal' computer, everything has to be stored within apps. Do you have an app that supports the type of file that the attachment is ? If you do then you might be able to press and hold the attachment in the Mail app and get a popup with an option to save the attachment to the app.

Did you format the drive for Mac use before you tried to use it as a backup drive?
Are you using Time Machine on the drive? You can't view the contents of its backup database and the only way to access the info is directly from the Time Machine app. -

Open iTunes
From the File menu, choose one of the following choices:

Navigate to and select the file or folder that you want to add
If iTunes is set to "Copy files to the iTunes Music folder when adding to library," iTunes will copy all content that is added to the iTunes library to the iTunes Music folder. To adjust this setting or change the location of this folder, go to the Advanced tab in iTunes Preferences.
Once that's done, you can sync the music to your iPad by following this article:

How can I set up a guest access point with a Time Capsule and an Airport Extreme? I am using a Telus router with the Time Capsule used as a wireless access point (bridge mode). I don't want the guest access point to have access to my network.
The Guest Network function of the Time Capsule and AirPort Extreme cannot be enabled when the device is in Bridge Mode. Unfortunately, with another router...the Telus...upstream on your network, Bridge Mode is indicated as the correct setting for all other routers on the network.
If you can replace the Telus gateway with a simple modem (that performs no routing functions), you should be able to configure either the Time Capsule or the AirPort Extreme....whichever is connected to the modem....to provide a Guest Network. -

The first Airport is on the corridor, ok, works well and the App on the iPad signals so, ok
But when I plug the next Airport on another room nearby nothing happens, and signals disconected ....
is the signal so weak that is not able to go to ono room to the other ?Well, even if you have the first express set up to extend the network, the second express can only extend from the TimeCapsule.
Maybe you got walls of sheetrook in the way, or kitchen/bathroom tiles, etc, dampening the signal rapidly. -

I want to be able to specify paths and/or filename patterns that should NEVER be indexed in the catalog: not that they don't show up under certain circumstances, just that they are NOT THERE (in the catalog) to begin with!!
I also do NOT want to have to respecify these criteria when "synching" the catalog; criteria should be PERMANENT (or at least 'til they're changed in LR preferences).
I cannot be the only person in the world with this problem--but it sure seems like it, because I've spent an inordinate amount of time doing online searches & I can't find anything that addresses this issue.
Can anyone PLEASE HELP me?
BTW, Adobe employees (if there are any of you out there), I'm simply trying out LR now. If I can't get this (seemingly fundamental) thing worked out (with relatively little effort), Adobe is going to LOSE A SALE of LR, because it's useless to me without this feature.

The same way that you avoid buying things in your local convenience store. You don't stick a lot of labels on certain shelves, slap a credit card down on the counter each week, and announce you are buying everything that doesn't have a label on its shelf. You just choose the things you want to buy.
Your mention of "synching the catalog" suggests that you are expecting the LR library, to mirror the total images in the computer by default. This is not IMO a useful way to think about it. LR contains no images at all, by default: the Catalog starts out empty.
Then you Add just those selected images that you want to import, among those already in the computer. That's a one-off process which is IMO best achieved controllably in batches - which you can keyword and otherwise organise in LR terms as you go. For new incoming images, ongoing, it is a question of Copying, Moving or Adding these in defined batches as they occur - from the relevant location only - there is no need to re-consider the import of a wider body of images. And one would not want to repeat that whole task anyway: one's prior investment in achieving the right selectivity, has a positive value.

An iTunes account is something you log into online to buy music.
An iTunes library is a collection of media and other items (including apps) on your computer. This is what you see when you open iTunes.
So, do you mean account or library? You can set up a new iTunes account but all your purchases made in that account will remain in the old account and cannot be moved. You can set up a new library by starting iTunes and immediately hold down the option key. -
