How can I share ownership of a calendar on iCloud?

We are using iCloud on a small network and would like to share ownership of a calendar so multiple people can send invites?  Is this possible?

I just found out how to do this by fiddling around.
In iCal make sure you have the calendar you'd like to share highlighted in the CALENDER box to the left of the calendar. Then click the drop down at the top "Calendar".  Click on "Share" or "Share Settings"  I can't remember...  sorry.
This will bring up a dialog box where you'll see the name of the calender you're going to share (you can also edit the name there).  Then you click on "Only the People You Invite"
and you'll then add the email addresses in the area below that.  There is a little plus sign below that where you can add multiple viewers.
So far so good.  I just have to check and make sure the person on the recieving end has set up his iCloud as well (I think).
hope this helps

  • How can I share a project specific calendar I created on Entourage 2008 ?

How can I share a project specific calendar I created on Entourage 2008 without showing my personal calendar? I created a project specific calendar using Entourage 2008 for Mac. I want to add someone that uses Outlook from a PC. We are in the same exchange network.  I have added this person in under the sharing tab, but don't see a way to invite her to view it, and it does not appear on her Outlook list of shared calendars. I was able to invite her to view my main calendar, but not the project specific one. Any suggestions?

How can I share my ical work calendar with my coworkers that are using google calendar?

You can only do this by syncing your calendar to an external server - MobileMe is designed for this but if you don't already have a MobileMe account you can't start one now.
If you do have a MobileMe account the method is described here:
    http://www.wilmut.webspace.virginmedia.com/notes/sharedcalendar.html#publicshare
If you don't, you could sync to Google Calendar (Google accounts are free) or wait for iCloud which should be out in a couple of months and will probably provide this sort of facility.
You might like to consider BusyCal which is like iCal Pro - similar to iCal but with extra facilities. It can sync calendars on a Lan and also between accounts on the same machine (you have to have fast user switching enabled).
There is a free trial available on their website: it's slightly cheaper from the Mac App Store. (I have no connection with this company).

The iWork Public Beta allowed me to share Keynote presentations with anyone via the web. Now Apple tells me the Public Beta is being replaced by iCloud. How can I share a Keynote presentation online via iCloud? Must the presentation be downloaded to view?

iCloud is not designed for sharing data with other people: you will need a third-party alternative such as DropBox or Sugarsync.

  • How can I share my a public calendar from iCal (through iCloud) with Outlook for Windows users?

I have a public work calendar that I wish to share with colleagues in the office. No issues for those having a Mac or an iPhone, but how can I share the calendar with Outlook for Windows users?
    Thanks for the help!

    Hello ramirofromstrockholm,
The steps detailed below explain how to go about publicly share a calendar (which doesn't require that one be an iCloud user to accept).
Click the Share button to the right of the calendar you want to share, then select Public Calendar.
Note:   You can also share the same calendar privately. For instructions, see the previous task, “Share a calendar privately.”
To invite people to view the calendar, click Email Link.
Type one or more email addresses in the To field, then click Send.
The people you specify automatically receive an invitation email that includes the calendar’s URL. An invitee doesn’t need to be an iCloud user to accept an invitation to view a shared public calendar.
In the sidebar, a shared calendar has a dark Share button.
You can also resend invitations to one or more invited participants at any time.

  • How can i share my iphotos on macbook via icloud so i can see them on all my other devices?

Hello there, if anyone can help..
I have a macbook (older white one) and just brought an ipad mini and want to view all my pictures stored in my iphoto account on my macbook on my new ipad mini. I have looked at forums and instructions and there is no option to stiech the photos on within my macbook so cant seem to do it.
I am currently operating on Mac OS x version 10.6.8 which tells me is the latest version when i try to do a software update.
Can anyone help me to do this please?

Would this be a different OS as currently on snow leopard I think
Yes, Snow Leopard is Mac OS X 10.6.8. You need OS X 10.7.4 Lion or later to use iCloud.
OS X 10.9 Mavericks is the latest version and is free. Your Mac is new enough to run it, so I'd recommend updating to Mavericks. Check for compatibility with any important existing applications you use first.
what one will be compatible with sharing iPhoto's on iCloud?
As I mentioned above, you need Mac OS X 10.7.4 or later to use iCloud. Mavericks is recommended.
Also will this update wipe my macbook of its current data or just stay the same with only the operating system changing?
It'll just update the operating system, but you should ALWAYS BACK UP before updating the operating system - just in case...

  • HT4759 How can I share reminder with calendar ????

    Pls can you help me.

Are you sharing your iCloud calendar with someone?  If so, just create an event reminding everyone of the upcoming event.
Otherwise, you can also share a reminders list with another iCloud user, as explained here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mm4bb3fa6e.  Then create the reminder that you want to share.

My family owns 3 computers, how can we share, or better yet, centralize our music when we have 3 different Apple ID?
How can we sync all 3 computers music content on itunes Match? Even when only one purchases music?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
To begin with, I would like to try to explain Apple's confusing nomenclature in regard to iCloud.
Apple have called the whole cloud thing iCloud, there are a number of features under the iCloud umbrella, some of which require their own login. iTunes is one of these, another is what Apple have unfortunately also called iCloud.
You can use the same Apple ID (account) to login to both iCloud and iTunes, but you don't need to and often users will login to each service using a different ID.
The part that you need to remember is that the services available when you log into iCloud are completely different and unrelated to those when you log in to iTunes. Your iCloud login enables mail, contacts, calendars, find my phone, Back to My Mac, Documents & Data sharing and photosstream, it does not affect any of your iTunes services.
To avoid confusion when discussing your problem, when I mention iCloud, I am referring to the services under the iCloud login, Whereas I will refer to the whole cloud thing as The Cloud.
If only one of you purchases content from iTunes (this includes Books and apps too) then I suggest you use that account for each of you for iTunes only.

  • How can I share my schedule information with my wife on her accounts and devices?

My wife and I have separate accounts in our MacMini and MacBook.  We each have an iPhone.  She uses GMail.  I use Mac Mail.  How can I share my schedule information with my wife on her accounts and devices?

It is not advisable to follow the above suggested method. The following will do what you want without complications.
    1. On your Mac, go to http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mm6b1a9479 and follow the instructions to share a calendar privately. If you have more than one calendar you want to share you will have to do each individually. You can choose whether she is able to edit it or whether it should be read-only.
    2. If your wife does not have an iCloud account she will need to obtain one. When you share a calendar and nominate her to access it she will receive and email. All she has to do is to open the email and click 'Join Calendar'. This will add the calendar to her Calendar app on all devices and on icloud.com without affecting any other data. Again, this will have to be done individually if more than one calendar is involved.

  • My husband and I each have iphones, how can we share the contact and calender info we have have in our iclouds with each other?

My husband and I each have an iphone 4S, how can we share the contact and calender info we have in our iclouds with each other?

You can make one or more calendars of one iphone sharable and the other user will be able to have those sharable calanders synced.  Unfortunately, you can't do that with contacts.  But you could go to the computer account used by you or your husband, perform a backup of the contacts (see the file menu), copy the file to the other account used to sync the other iphone, and restore.  It's a manual process that has to be performed periodically, but doable.
The other method is for each of you to use the same iCloud ID and have both iphones synced to be identical.  But I don't recommend that otherwise you'll each get the same text messages and who knows what else.

  • Using outlook to sync multi cals - how can I share cals with 2nd Iphone

    Good afternoon
I'm helping a friend setup his business. Am using my own copy of Outlook - which 4 calendars has been set up 1. Me 2. Admin 3. Quotes 4. Instalations.
All four are working well an are synching to my iphone through itunes.
My friend does not have a computer with outlook. How can I share all four calendars with him, preferably without having to buy more software at this stage.
Can't two iphone talk to each other?
    Thanks heaps
    Jenine

You can't do it iPhone to iPhone. You could sync your Outlook with Google Calendar (it's free), and he could sync his iPhone with Google Calendar.

  • HT3819 how can i share my lbrary wth my daughter who has her own apple id?

How can I share my music library with my daughter who has her own apple id?  She just got a new iphone and we set her up with her own id.  problem was all of her sosngs were on my library under my apple id.

If you want to share music, apps, books etc., you need to both use the same iTunes account. many people do this and still keep their own iCloud account so they keep their own mail, calendars, contacts etc.
If you want to share photos you will need to use the same iCloud account, even a secondary account won't help with photos..
