How can i sort folders by Artists and Albums

Hello.
I'm new to Apple and as much as i would love to use it they make things so dark COMPLICATED transitioning from a Windows where they make everything so simple and clean.
Can anyone please tell me that there IS a way to sort all my music folders by artists, albums, and such.
on windows. if i click on a folder/album it will open up and all the songs of that album will be there and i can sort them by the artist.
Here on apple, these stupid folders can only be sorted by DATE MODIFIED, SIZE, KIND, and such. It is so FRUSRTATING!!
If there is a way to sort my folders the WAY i want to with the numerous options like Windows has available, can someone PLEASE show me.

You're kidding right? Windows makes things easier? You can sort by name in any Finder window, but if you're dealing with Music you should be using iTunes.

How can I sort folders in descending sequence?

There are two display options in the Finder, Arrangement and Sort. They are both under the same menu item/toolbar button. A regular click brings up the Arrangement menu. Holding down the option (alt) key brings up the Sort menu.
Except for Arrange by Name, all of the Arrangements are groupings. It groups the items by whatever criteria you chose. Within the groups, you can sort the items by other criteria.
If you arrange by Name, you can't sort by anything else.
Also, with an Arrangement set, you cannot adjust the sort direction.
To control the sort direction, set Arrangement to None, and sort by Name. Open the List view of that folder and click on the sort triangle in the column header.

How can I create Folders in iPod and keep all bands & artists separate?

How can I create folders for different artists and keep them separate? Is it somthing that I need to do in iTunes in my Mac or import them a certain way?

If you have the artist information entered in iTunes, then they should already be organized like that on iPod.

I am updated my Photo App on OSX 10.10.2. All my Albums are imported fine, but how I can sort the Pictures in one Album by name? I just found the option for the Albums.

How can you sort music by artist in iOS 8.02 ?!

HOw can music be sorted by the artist in iOS 8.02 !? It only sorts by song title right now.. why not allow us to select how it is sorted.. like every other NORMAL application in the world?!

IT simply say "if" the More button is available.. then you can have options... well, there is NO More button available?!
SO.. how do we get this mystical magical 'More' button!?
AS an aside, iOS 8 IMHO has aTON of little bugs that make it kinky and frustrating to use.

How Can I Sort Playlists By Artist Name IPOD

When I select a playlist on my Ipod Color, it will take me to the list of songs in song title alphabetical order. I want to have them appear in artist alphabetical order instead, how can I do this?

Forget it, asked same question before, and it seems that you can do nothing about it than send feedback to Apple and hope it gets done in a future update-release.
It should be so easy, such a function, but it is definitely not available currently. A real pain.....

How do I sort songs by artist by album using iTunes 10.5.0.142

Hello,
In earlier iTunes versions there used to be a drop down at the top left corner of the music window that I could use to sort the songs. What happened to that drop down in 10.5.0.142?
Can I make this drop down come back?
If noy, how will I sort my songs so that all the songs are listed by artists having the albums together: For example Artist 1 has Album 1, Album 2 and Album 3 together, and then Artist 2 has Album 1, Album 2 and Album 3 together after Artist 1, and Artist 3 has Album 1, Album 2 and Album 3 together coming after Artist 2?

I can agree and see your point. Just wish there was a better way other than "lying" about the album artist info. I'm sure its doable but don't expect it would ever happen. Software is too "mature" now.
And actually, I'd rather see what your suggesting - it would be a great clue to "fix" the art to the same inamge!

Can I Organize music in Artists and Albums on my MuVo N2

I can only play music on the "root" of my MP3 player (MuVo N200). Can anyone tell me if organizing i possible?
I have discovered a menuitem called "Skip Folder". When I go there, A Root folder i shown, but I can not select anything here. Can anyone tell me what this is about?

STOP!
You can use MuVo N200 Media explorer, and click the button "Sort Different" or something, and than you can sort ALL your tracks on:
Artist</LI>
Number on CD</LI>
Track Name</LI>
Lenght</LI>
Even the album name, if i'm not wrong</LI>
You can install the explorer from your N200 CD-Rom and download it. You'll have to connect your N200 to the computer, offcource :smileyvery-happy:.
You can sort them with the folders also ofcource, but I think its a lot of work to search for each track the artist, when its written in the info. Than creating folders for EACH artist, and putting them into it... think my Media Explorer works faster.
PS: The Media explorer will put numbers for your MP3 names, but you won't see them while playing back, they are recognised by your player.

How can I sort pictures by date and than by time stamp ?

The approx. 2.000 pictures was taken by two cameras.
Both cameras intern date and time where adjusted before the for session.
It seems that Aperture 3.3.1 can´t manage it, can it?
In the browser there is only one common field for date and time.
I shoot the picture with two Canon 5D Mark II and Mark-III in JPG and RAW mode.
The file name only is totally confusing for sorting.
Like IMG_0008, _MG_0022 for Mark-II
and
_L2A8410 for Mark-III.

I am not sure, which sort order you want to achieve? If you sort by the date field, the images will be sorted chronologically, ascending or descending, according to date and time - isn't what what you want?
Can it be that you have a time zone problem? Compare the dates on the images that should be sorted side by side.
Unless you specify "Camera Time" and "Actual Time" on import, Aperture will assume that the camera time has been your current system time.

And unfortunately, both your cameras are exactly the two cameras that I know, where the time zone correction in Aperture is buggy and does not have much effect. I cannot find the discussion again right now, but look for a thread by Frank Caggiano on time zone correction.

How can i sort music by artist in the store?

I want to browse the store by artists? why cant this be done, im so tired of seeing the popular artists. sometimes i just want to browse the store by artist. If you know what genre you want to look in, but dont know the artist or group name, just a simple list alphabetically or artist or groups would be cool to look at.

Currently, the only way to search by artist is to type the artist's name in the search field.
If you click on iTunes > Provide iTunes Feedback your feature request will be reviewed by the folks who design the website.

Numbers sorts full rows on values in selected column(s). The technique for sorting a single column is essentially the same as Jerry is describing for Pages tables—separate the (data in the) column to be sorted, sort it, return it to the table.
In Numbers the actual column may be separated from the original table, sorted, then returned. In Pages, the data must be extracted, sorted, then pasted back in, overwriting the unsorted data (if it was left in the original table).
iWork tables follow a database model in which each row is a Record, and each column holds a Field within the records.
As evidenced by the current question (and several similar questions arising in the Numbers community) that model doesn't apply to the way some users, especially some who come in from the MS Excel world, use tables.
With Excels model—islands of data on a single large table, the ability to sort one or a selected few columns of data makes sense. One 'island' may comprise only cells AA21:AH50. Sorting that small 'table' should be possible without disturbing the rest of rows 21-30, which are probably part of one or more other 'data islands' in the sea that is a MS Excel spreadsheet.
In Numbers, each of those 'islands' would be a separate Table, and that Table would be sortable without disturbing other Tables in the document.
