How can I spread an image through multiple shapes?

I have a large image im wanting to use to do a sort of peek-a-boo through multiple small triangle shapes i've created. Is there a way to do this?

Select all your shapes, and choose: objects > paths > make compound path. Then you can place your photo into the compound path and it will span all the shapes.

  • How can I remove people tags from MULTIPLE images in Organizer 13?

How can I remove people tags from MULTIPLE images in Organizer 13?  The strategy for removing keyword tags does not work. It appears that keyword tags and People tags are considered something completely different in 13.  I highlight multiple images, right click, and under keyword tags it says there are no keyword tags. There does not appear to be an option for people or other tags. Can anyone help? It is going to take literally hundreds of hours for me to do this one photo one tag at a time.  ??

That CSS is complete nonsense. The correct way to remove borders from around links is here: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/417110.
If you want to get rid of dotted lines, they are almost certainly caused by the outline property. However, outlines around links are there for a reason: it provides a visual "you are here" clue to people who navigate the web with the keyboard, either through preference or because of disability. You shouldn't remove the dotted outline without providing a different visual clue.

i'm using Apache Jakarta HTTPClient to create a new HTTP connection to the webserver and sending a new POST request, which holds the image file. (So it's RFC1867 conform)

You can't with a single image, but you can "fake" it. Duplicate the image & then line up the two halves. It's easier if you are viewing facing pages two-up.

  • How can you use one image and edit it three different ways to export later?

I am a new Lightroom 3 user.  How can use the same image and edit it multiple ways to produce mulitple images to later export?  For example,  I have a picture of a bride and groom.  I want to use that image and create a color image, a black and white image, and a close up of their hands.

Do I need to do either of those options before I start editing the image at all?  For example,  what if I am working on the image and doing some creative edits.  Then I think of another option that I could do.  Is it too late at that time or can I still get the original image to begin with?

  • How can I attach an image without the image is in the email body? (using the new mail the Lion)

How can I attach an image without the image is in the email body? (using the new mail the Lion)
I want in attachment, not in the body mail.

I think your only solution is to zip the image files first and then attach them.
Read this from a site I found:
Sending Graphical Attachments -- When you attach a graphical image to your message, the recipient of your message sees the image inline (that is, in the body of the message) if her email client supports inline display. ("Take Control of Email with Apple Mail" contains a table listing the capabilities of popular Mac and PC email clients.) If a client does not support inline display (or the recipient has turned off the inline display option), the file appears as an attachment that must be opened in a separate program.
On the one hand, an inline image is easier for the recipient to see - all she has to do is look at it. On the other hand, inline images can be frustrating to scroll through. If you do not wish to send a graphical image inline, you must compress the file before attaching it - Mail, sadly, lacks a built-in compression option, though fortunately for Panther users, the Finder offers Zip compression without requiring a separate application.
Note that when you compose a new message, Mail always shows attachments in the body of your message. You can manually drag them somewhere else, but many email clients display all attachments in a separate list, regardless of where you place them in the message body.
If you paste an image into a message or drag & drop an image from another window (say, a Web browser), Mail converts the raw image data to an attachment in TIFF format. On the other hand, if you drag & drop the icon of an image file (or use the Attach button to locate the file using the file browser), Mail leaves the attached image in its original format. This difference is significant, because although most email clients can display JPEG images just fine, support for TIFF - especially in non-Mac email clients - is less common. If possible, I suggest attaching image files as opposed to pasting or dragging in raw image data.

  • How can I manually attach images from my photo booth (imported into iPhoto) to emails? Auto function, in photo booth has my photos lying sideways?

How can I manually attach images from my photo booth to iCloud emails?
They are imported as 'events' into my iphoto library.
Auto function, in photo booth has my photos lying sideways when placed in 'mail' emails?

There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto:   You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Command-Click for selecting multiple pics.
(Note the above illustration is not a Finder Window. It's the dialogue you get when you go File -> Open)
You can access the Library from the New Message Window in Mail:
There's a similar option in Outlook and many, many other apps.  If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
If you want to access the files with iPhoto not running:
For users of 10.6 and later:  You can download a free Services component from MacOSXAutomation  which will give you access to the iPhoto Library from your Services Menu.
Using the Services Preference Pane you can even create a keyboard shortcut for it.
For Users of 10.4 and 10.5 Create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use this free utility Karelia iMedia Browser
    Other options include:
Drag and Drop: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
File -> Export: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
Show File:  a. On iPhoto 09 and earlier:  Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.    3.b.
b: On iPhoto 11 and later: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Reveal in Finder -> Original. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.

  • How can I save my images like a "wedding photographer" does?

    I have a Pixma PRO-100. . . with a Windows 8.1 PC. . . and printing through Adobe Photoshop Elements 11.
I just printed some wedding pictures of my daughter - which I got from the "wedding photographer"... when I printed them - they were an exact match to what I saw on my screen (which I've calibrated)... and dead on crisp, great quality.
I'm wondering what a wedding photographer does to their images to make them so "solid" in printing.  How do they save them?
when I print something from a my files, (Raw, NEF, or JPEG's) - there always seems to be a color or quality problem? Never a match.  It takes several adjustments and print samples before I get what I want.
Is the ICC Profile a problem - or How can I save my images like a wedding photog does?  So they print exact?
    Joe B

    " ... (Raw, NEF, or JPEG's) ... "
I suspect there are some minor differences you are not seeing and/or noticing on screen.  But right off, no real wedding photographer will shoot in anything except RAW.  You should be using RAW, only, too.  The RAW file to start with has way more info in it than any jpeg does.
Next I would bet your wedding photographer does some tweaking to highlights and shadows, plus s ome other stuff that you are not.  In other words he is getting the photos ready for printing. Remember printing on paper and "printing for on screen" is two different things.

  • How can i  view an image (ORDSYS.ORDImage) present in db

    hi
how can i view an image (ORDSYS.ORDImage) present in db through sql developer?
    regards
    manoj

    Manoj,
I put a request in to the SQL Developer exchange to do this natively and it has been accepted. In the meantime you can use the following SQL...
    select ordsys.ordimage.getcontent('column') from 'table'
The resulting image can then be viewed in the results tab if it is a type that SQL Developer recognizes such as a JPEG.
    Cheers

  • HELP! How can I index an image?

    Hello,
I4m considering using iFS in a complete document management/imaging solution. I already have the scanning software, but one question remains: how can i index the image content (TIFFs) in iFS? Supposing my scanning application produces the OCR file, could I somehow use it with iFS? For example, could I store it as a document property (even if the OCR file is large as 50-100K) and then search into this property? Or could I develop a custom iFS application for that?
Any idea will be welcome :-)
    Thanks in advance,
    Vinicius

Vinicius, you could do all kinds of things with iFS to satisfy your requirement -- right now -- as long as you're willing to do some development. We don't support OCR indexing out of the box, but you could totally do it. For instance...
Let's say you have a bunch of images. And lets also say you have software that can scan them and produce text (OCR). You could then write a parser that took images (upon upload) and ran them through the OCR software. The output (text) could be stored as a document property, as you say, but I would actually suggest storing it as a separate file, just like you could do on a standard filesystem. Then, with iFS, you could store a property on the image that was the document ID of the text file (produced by the OCR). You could "folder" both files, if you wanted, or you could just folder a single file (the image, maybe).
You could also do this asynchronously, with an agent. Instead of a parser, you could make an agent that "watched for" images being uploaded. The agent would then OCR the images and save the files into iFS, again, "connecting" the two by way of a document property.
And this is just one way to do it. And I just came up with this off the top of my head. I'm sure you could come up with a REAL design given some time and effort. Again, the actual implementation for your solution is NOT built-in to iFS. BUT, using the API and the technology that IS built-in to iFS, you COULD get this done, and I think it would be pretty cool. You could even sell it as an add-on product! :)

how can I find the Image number of a particular photo in the Photos app included with iPad Air?

    Hello yamacutta,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
The Photos app will not show you the actual file name of the photo.  However when you go through the image import process on your computer, you should be able to see both the thumbnail of the photo, as well as the filename of the image.
