How can I store photos already taken in iCloud?

Can you only store photos taken after you set a photo stream? Or can I store all of my pictures?

You would only need extra iCloud space if you need the space for large backups, or backups of multiple iOS devices, or if you save lots of iCloud email with large attachments, or store lots of iWork documents, etc.
You can store your photos using a different cloud service such as Dropbox, or any of the numerous photo hosting services such as Flikr, Picassa, Smugmug, etc.  Music purchased from sources other than the iTunes store has to be kept in your iTunes library on your computer if you want to be able to access it on your iOS devices.

    how can i store ms office files in iCloud?

    Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
    To store Office files on iCloud, you need Numbers, Keynote or Pages, depending of the files you want to upload (Word, PowerPoint or Excel).
    First, if you haven't done it, open App Store and purchase Keynote, Numbers and/or Pages. Then, if you have OS X Mountain Lion, when you open the app, you will see an iCloud window where you can drag your Office documents to be uploaded to iCloud.
    If you don't have OS X Mountain Lion, open http://www.icloud.com, login with your Apple ID, select iWork and drag your Office documents

  • How can i move photos from iphone to icloud without a computer?

    I keep running out of space on my iphone (4s) because of the number of photos. I have 15 gb of unused icloud storage but can't figure out how to move the photos from iphone to icloud so i free up space on the iphone. I do not have a computer.

    Did you purchase the music from the iTunes store?  If so, you can download it again for free as discussed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519.  If the music was from other sources (ripped CDs, etc.) you have to sync your phone with iTunes on a computer to transfer it to your phone.

  • How Can i Store photo (image) in column of table

    Dear Experts,
    I need to store a employee photo in column so how can i do tha same.

    This assumes that the images in question currently reside on the database server. If you want to upload images into the database from a client machine, you will need an extra step where you move the files to the appropriate directory or directories on the server. This example will store the images in a BLOB column, rather than a much more flexible interMedia ORDImage column. A BLOB column is fine if you only want to store and retrieve the image, but interMedia gives you significantly more flexibility to manipulate the image, extract metadata, etc.
    Create the directory
    First, you will want to tell Oracle where it can find the images you want to insert into the database. The easiest way to do this is to create a directory object. In this case, I will be loading images from 'c:\temp\img\'.
    CREATE DIRECTORY images AS 'c:\temp\img\'
    If you don't have the CREATE DIRECTORY privilege, you will need to have someone else, like your DBA, create the directory and grant you READ access to it.
    GRANT READ ON DIRECTORY images TO scott;
    Create the Table to Hold the Images
    CREATE TABLE images (
    image_name VARCHAR2( 100 ),
    mime_type VARCHAR2( 100 ),
    content BLOB
    Create a Stored Procedure to Load the Image
    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE load_image( file_name VARCHAR2 )
    AS
    file_lob BFILE;
    binary_lob BLOB;
    mime_type images.mime_type%type;
    extension_pos NUMBER;
    BEGIN
    -- Use the extension of the file name to determing the MIME-type
    -- The MIME-type for a .JPG file will be image/jpg
    extension_pos := INSTR( file_name, '.' );
    mime_type := 'image/' || SUBSTR( file_name,
    extension_pos + 1,
    LENGTH( file_name ) );
    -- Insert a new row into the images table. Get the LOB locator
    -- for the newly inserted row-- we will be using that to insert
    -- the content from the file.
    INSERT INTO IMAGES( image_name, mime_type, content )
    VALUES( file_name, mime_type, empty_blob() )
    RETURNING content INTO binary_lob;
    -- Open up the file in the IMAGES directory named file_name,
    -- load that file into the newly created LOB locator, and
    -- close the file
    file_lob := BFILENAME( 'IMAGES', file_name );
    dbms_lob.fileOpen ( file_lob, dbms_lob.file_readOnly );
    dbms_lob.loadFromFile( binary_lob,
    file_lob,
    dbms_lob.getLength( file_lob ) );
    dbms_lob.fileClose ( file_lob );
    END;

  • How can I store photos on an external hard drive and still manage w IPhoto?

    The hard drive on my MacBook is almost full and I want to move my photos to an external hard drive.  Can I do this and still manage and organize the photos using I Photo?   I can export the photos, but when I do I lose the organization (Events, Albums, etc.) that are in I Photo.   With my new DSLR camera the photos (JPEGS) are really big and I am quickly running out of storage on the MacBook.  Thanks in advance for you help.
    Jim in Seattle

    Moving the iPhoto library is safe and simple - quit iPhoto and drag the iPhoto library intact as a single entity to the external drive - depress the option key and launch iPhoto using the "select library" option to point to the new location on the external drive - fully test it and then trash the old library on the internal drive (test one more time prior to emptying the trash)
    And be sure that the External drive is formatted Mac OS extended (journaled) (iPhoto does not work with drives with other formats) and that it is always available prior to launching iPhoto
    And backup soon and often - having your iPhoto library on an external drive is not a backup and if you are using Time Machine you need to check and be sure that TM is backing up your external drive

  • How can I recover photos from old iphone icloud backup to new one?

    Hello, I had an iPhone 4 which I lost and inside there were some great photos that I want now to recover. In the meanwhile I bought an iPhone5S and I just realized that inside the iCloud backup menu is saying that there is a backup of 3GB of my old iPhone. How can I see if in that backup the photos are there? I have connected my iPhoto App to iCloud but it only finds photos from my new iPhone and not the old one...
    Thanks for your time.

    Hi, Tiago, maybe you can get help from data recovery software. Now things get easy now.
    As far as I know, there are three ways to recover deleted contacts and photos from iPhone 5 with iPhone Data Recovery.
    Way 1: Recover deleted photos from iPhone directly
    Way 2: Using iTunes Backup to recover deleted photos
    Way 3: Using iCloud Backup to recover deleted photos
    You can refer the way 3 of how to recover deleted photos from iPhone to recover photos from  old iPhone iCloud backup.
    Good luck to you.

  • How can I store iTunes movies in my iCloud?

    Please help!!!

    It's worth emphasizing that despite Apple's confusing advertising, iCloud has nothing to do with iTunes purchases. Items you have purchased from iTunes can be downloaded again to other devices; and iTunes Match enables you (at a charge) to upload music you didn't purchase from the Store. An iCloud account is not required for all this; iCloud does not provide general file storage but is intended for syncing data between your devices.

    How can I view photos I downloaded 2-3 years ago and which suddenly seem to have disappeared. Only photos taken within the past 12 months are visible.

    There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 9 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
    - What version of iPhoto. Version 8.1.2
    - What version of the Operating System. OSX 10.9.4
    - Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
    When I open iPhoto, only the most recent photos are shown (last 12 months)
    - History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages? This has been going on for several weeks now. There are no error messages, but yes, I had an update in the system (QuarkXPress 10.1), and the problem has occurred from that day.
    - What steps have you tried already to solve the issue. I tried to find out where the problem came from, but found no solution.
    - Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto? No
    Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.
    Thank you so much for offering help. I am not a proficient user of the system.

  • I lost my macbook pro and i just got a new one. how can i retrieve the pictures taken with photo booth(old laptop) to my new laptop?

    i lost my macbook pro and i just got a new one. how can i retrieve the pictures taken with photo booth(old laptop) to my new laptop?

    Well if you don't have the laptop to get the storage drive out of it, and you don't have any previous backups how do you expect to get the photo's?
    PhotoBooth is just a program, it stores the files on the computers storage drive, if the computer is lost so are your photo's.
    There is nothing you can do to delete or retrieve them using your new computer unless you stored them online someplace.
    DId you save them online? iDisk or something else?
    I don't use such services because my data is mine and not theirs to snoop through, so if your looking for that sort of help I can't assist you any.

  • How can I transfer photos from my  iMac to my iPad and not lose the ones already stored on the iPad.

    How can I transfer photos from my  iMac to my iPad and not lose the ones already stored on the iPad?  When using iTunes to sync a folder from the iMac to the iPad it always removes anything previously synced.
    Help appreciated

    I've just found out the reason for this behaviour. I am syncing from a computer which is different to the one I first synced with. iTunes can't cope with this situation so deletes anything synced from another source.

  • How can I add photos in the Camera roll to My photo stream if they were taken prior to icloud being activated?

    How can I add photos in the Camera roll to My photo stream if they were taken prior to icloud being activated?

    You have a couple of options:
    Open the photos one at a time and take a screenshot.  This will add a new low resolution copy of the photo to the camera roll, which will then upload to your photo stream;
    Email the photos one at a time to yourself, then save the attached photos to your camera roll.  This will add a copy of the photo at full resolution to your camera roll and upload to photo stream;
    Use an app like PhotoSync, which will allow you to wirelessly transfer copies of all your old photos to your computer all at once.  Then delete these photos from your camera roll and use PhotoSync to transfer them back from your computer to your camera roll.  These will be the original resolution and will upload to your photo stream.  (You need an app like this because iTunes will not transfer photos back to your camera roll, where they must be in order to add to your photo stream.)

    How can i sort photos by date taken, not date created?

    I'd like this feature as well. I tend to browse my photos by date in Aperture, but on ios thay always appear in some bizzare random order.
    I've tried several workarounds but with no luck. As metadata is present, surely this should be simple...

  • How can I change the date "taken" on individual photos in iPhoto?

    How can I change the date "taken" on individual photos in iPhoto? I have some photos that were scanned and the date "taken" info displays the day the picture was scanned as opposed to the date it was actually taken. Is there some way to edit this information?

    In iPhoto '11 on your Mac use the command "Photos > Adjust Date and Time" and enable the "Modify original files" option, if you want to set the date of the originals to the correct date as well.

    How can I transfer photos from my Windows computer to my Ipad.
    I already have the photos transfered into a photo stream file.
    How to activate the transfer ?

    Hey Juergen119,
    I would recommend syncing your photos from your computer to your iPad by using iTunes:
    iTunes: Syncing photos
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4236
    First, if you want to set it up to work via iCloud, I would check and make sure My Photo Stream is set up correctly on your devices:
    To use My Photo Stream you need an iCloud account, compatible devices, and up-to-date software:
    iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 5.1 or later
    Mac with OS X Lion v10.7.5 or later and iPhoto 9.2.2 or Aperture 3.2.3 or later
    Apple TV (2nd generation) with Apple TV Software Update 5.0 or later
    PC with Windows 7 or later and the iCloud Control Panel 2.1 or later for Windows
    For complete iCloud setup instructions, visit How to set up iCloud.
    Then, once it is set up, you can upload your photos to My Photo Stream by following these directions:
    PC with iCloud Control Panel 2.0 or later: Open a Windows Explorer window and under Favorites select iCloud Photos if you are using iCloud Control Panel 3.0 (or Photo Stream if you are using 2.0 to 2.1.2). Open My Photo Stream. Click the "Add photos" button. Select the photos to import to My Photo Stream, then click Open.

  • How can I search photos in my library by definition (300dpi or 72dpi) ?

    Hi, I have several questions before buy Lightroom licence but I haven't find how to do with trial version.
    1° How can I search photos in my library by definition (300 dpi or 72 dpi) ?
    2° Is it possible to search photos by same chromatic scale (all photos with most green for example, to match with a green page setting)
    3° Is it possible to find doubloons (exactly same photo but not same title or format) ?
    (I'm french, so please try to make simple answer)
    Thank you for your answer.
    Aline

    1) This question is based on a misunderstanding of resolution. A digital photo does not have resolution, i.e. it is neither 300 ppi nor 72 ppi not anything else ppi. A digital image has only a pixel dimension - so many pixels horizontal, so many vertical. That's all. Resolution comes only into play when we print an image. For a quality print we need a certain minimum amount of dots per inch. But as long as the image is digital (in the camera or on the computer) it has only pixel dimension - for instance 2000 x 3000 pixels. Therefore you cannot search by 300 ppi or 72 ppi.
    2) What do you mean by "chromatic scale"?  And what do you mean by "photos with most green"?
    Do you mean search for a photo that is taken - let's say - in a forest vs. a photo taken in the desert? No, you can't search for that in Lr since Lr does not recognize image content.
    But if you mean by "mostly green" a color label - yes you can search for photos that have a green color label (or a red one, or yellow, etc.)
    3) No. As already mentioned, Lr does not recognize image content. An exact duplicate of an image that has a different file name is a different image for Lr.
