How can I tell if my EMET GPO is in place instead of the local xml file on a computer?

I did the following commands on my test machine with EMET 5.1 installed:
emet_conf --delete_all
emet_conf --refresh
emet_conf --list
There were applications that came up but how can I tell if it is really coming from GPO and not the local configuration file that came with EMET 5.1? Am I suppose to see a "greater than symbol" prior to the name of the application or no?
When I ran rsop.msc on the machine, I can see that my group policy in place. But I thought I'm suppose to see a greater than symbol (like below) - which means the list of apps are coming from the GPO:

Am I wrong? Is that an EMET 3.1 "thing" only? Please let me know.

Never mind. I got it. If you do an "Emet_conf --List" it will turn out something like this that indicates you are getting your policies from GPO

As long as you are behind a router, you don't need to have your firewall turned on at all, in fact it probably slows your computer and/or internet connection down a bit. The only time you need it is to either protect yourself against intrusion from others on your local network or if you hook your computer directly to a cable / DSL modem. Thank You!I don't recall PowerShell V3 introducing anything new to handle local users and groups. You need to use PowerShell V1 methods, using the [ADSI] accelerator and the WinNT: provider. The scripts linked above show this. No need to use WMI (which would probably
be slower).

I have recently bought a reburbished iMac ( installed with Mountain Lion) and successfully transferred the content of my old imac ( snow leopard) using migration assistant. This onlt took an 1.5 hours.
I have noe connected up an external USB drive and started a time machine back up to back up 200GB of content. It has been running for 12 hours and says 4.63 GB of 200 has been done. Now I know that this calculation is not reliable and USB can get choked but how do I know if the process is actually running ok and how long to wait before giving up. The time machine icon is moving around.
Please please any help would be appeciated - I want to get using my new Mac.

jan van stratenThe simplest option is to use the Rolling Credits title in iMovie. Rolling Credits has a left and right component (so you can do "Role" and "Played By")
So to tell a story, you would use the left boxes only.
You could also use the Far Far Away title for a Star Wars type effect, but with the Star Wars title it is dificult to read the whole thing as it travels off into space. -

A friend of mine brought in some iPhone 4s and he "claims" they are factory unlocked. Im going by his place tomorrow to see if they are because I'd like to purchase one. Is there any specific number or code on the box to tell if it is factory unlocked? Id hate to pay for it to find out that it's not.
Thanks.The only way to know is to go to a place that is actually authorized to sell factory unlocked phones. More than likely your friend has bought hacked phones that he is looking to resell for a profit.
Also, the warranty is only valid in the country of origin. If these phones came from anywhere else, you will need to take the phone back to that country if you have any issues. -

From your post I understand that you have imported photos from your previous iPhone into iPhoto, and now you would like to sync them back in the order they were taken to your new iPhone. Regardless if you are syncing albums, events or the entire iPhoto Library, the photos do sync over with the same photo date that appears in iPhoto.

Downloaded latest iTunes-64 bit edition (using I.E) on my Vista Ultimate 64-bit PC. When iTunes is launched how can I tell which version I am running? (I initially installed the 32-bit version long ago).

In most of the cases if the data has S in it that it will be LIS data source else it will be LO datasource.
Normally LO datasources will have Header, Line Item and Schedule line datasources, where as LIS will contain onls LIS structure datasource ex: 2LIS_--_S*.

How can I tell itunes to install iPhone App updates automatically?
ITunes 12 can download app updates. Right now I have to connect my iPhone, go the installed apps and click on (for each updated app) "update" to change it to "will update" and then click "sync". How can I tell iTunes to automatically update any updated app currently on the iPhone?
I know they need to be converted, but the problem is, 2000 of the 5000 have already been converted. now it's trying to convert them again. but there is no reason for that. i want to know how to convert the other files that weren't converted yet, without having to re-convert the ones that were already done.
I would move the ones that were done to a separate folder, but I don't know exactly what ones were done. In iTunes, they are the first 2000 or so in the list, but on my hard drive they are not in the same order.
Does anyone else know if there's a way to do this? -
My macbook pro no longer connects to my TV with the mini dvi to hdmi adapter. A while ago the computer fell down and hit the cable. How can I tell if the computer is working ok. Doesn't show mirroring any more. Was working while watching a movie but when I pulled it out from the computer and put it back in the system would no longer mirrorr the screen on the TV.

My ipad does not have the amount of GB on the back and in the settings it says 56gb! Also there is no setting called regulatory. It is an ipad 4 retina w wifi that i got as a Christmas present. Could it be a fake? How can i tell?
The amount of storage that is shown on the box and in Settings are calculated differently - the package uses 1 billion bytes as a gig (i.e. decimal), whereas in Settings it's shown as the binary definition : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2419
Also some space has been used for iOS, the built-in app and some space is lost due to formatting.
