If the calendar is connected to a server account, like Exchange, you cannot sync via iTunes. You need to connect to the server on your MacBook.
If it is not connected to a server account then you need to ensure syncing is set up in iTunes. This is in the Info tab for your selected phone in iTunes.

Now I wanted to listen to it on my iPhone so I proceeded to transfer the purchase and looked for the book in the purchased section of the store in the iTunes on my iPhone but it did not show up.

It seems you would like to transfer photos from your previous device to your iPhone 5S. I have linked to an article which may help you. You can transfer those photos to a Mac or PC, then sync them to your new device:

I have an iPhone 3GS that I dropped in water for a moment. After drying it and everything, it still does everything but get service. Can I back it up and transfer its data to a new iPhone 3GS? I heard something about how loading a backup from a water damaged phone could mess up the new one... is this true? I would truly appreciate the help, please let me know, thanks!
Sounds like your phone is in recovery mode. In this case, all data on it is gone. There's nothing to back up.

When you set up a Smart Playlist, it automatically populates the list with songs. You don't have to do anything. Now, you may not have set it up properly, meaning your set up fails to recognize any songs.
If you just want to put music in a Playlist, just create one, give it a name. Then drag the music from the "music" list to the playlist. It copies the information there. And when you sync the Playlist to your iPhone, all the music goes.
It's truly easy, but there is a bit of a learning curve until you're good at it. Keep asking questions here, everyone will help you. But do read the Apple documents, they lay out pretty straightforward. -
Hi, I have changed from an old laptop to a macbook air. how can i keep my music from my iPhone and sync it my macbook? Only purchased music seems to be available to sync, even though the rest of the music was uploaded from CD's on my last laptop.
As I can't upload CD's onto the Macbook Air, how do I keep the existing music on my iphone syn onto my new macbook without deleting all the cds on the iphone??

Are you pressing the Sync button to transfer music after connecting your iPhone or do you have the option checked to 'Automatically Sync when the iPhone is connected?'

I have a problem synching calendar data between my iPhone 3GS iOS 5.1 & Outlook 2007 on MS7. The basic calendar data transfer is OK but the birthdays (little box icon) are a day early & cannot be changed to the correct date. The birthday entries in my Outlook contacts have correct dates.How can I fix this?
The following peocess corrects the calendar entry:
edit the contact & change the birthday, save the change; edit the contact & change the birthday to the correct value, save the change again. The calendar entry then displays on the correct date. Alternatively as a temp solution I can just de-select the "birthdays" calendar which stops the icon being displayed.

You can transfer itunes purchases: File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
The iphone is not a storage/backup device. The sync is one way - computer to iphone. The exception is itunes purchases.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer. Use your backup copy to put everything back. -

I want to know how I can transfer Notes in my Outlook: Mac 2011 to my iPhone 4S.
Am using a Macbook Pro with OSX 10.6.8 Snow Leopard and my 4S is on iOS 6.
JesalFinally figured it out...
1) Open mail/compose notes on your macbook...
2) copy and paste every note from Outlook to a new note in Mail.
3) Open iTunes. In Info/Advanced tick Notes. This will replace / copy all Notes from Mail to your iPhone...
4) Voila! Notes are on iPhone...
I must say in spite of all the fabulous advantages of a Macbook and an iPhone, syncing really does suck...
Transferring data from another smartphone to a Mac or an iPhone is tough...
Features like "one way / two way" sync for Phone / computer or allowing us to select which whose, phone or computer, will be considered more important so that you can choose whose data will overwrite the other, are not there in iTunes... This is something which really needs to be there...
Anyways... problem solved for now...

iTunes will only import music from your phone that was purchased from the iTunes store. To transfer music from other sources you have to use 3rd party software, such as PhoneView.

- You can only sync an iPod to one iTunes library/computer. You can however, manually manage music and videos among different libraries.
Go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Sync your iPod....>Sync You Device>Set up Syncing>Sync your device manually and follow the instructions.

Well first you need to sync your iPhone 4 with your Mac/PC so that it will transfer all your music, apps, podcasts, etc. Then sync your iPod Touch and the media you selected during the sync should be there on your iPhone. If you have difficulty in transferring media from iPhone to your computer, try softwares like TransCopy. They will help in transferring data from your iphone to your computer. My iCloud account is set up with my Apple ID as one email account (for example [email protected]) which is the email account I use to sign up for internet sites like Amazon, Apple,etc, so that I can differentiate vendors/mass emails. But my default calendar on my iPhone is in a different email name (ie [email protected]) which I use for most communications to friends, relatives, etc. and it is this account that holds most of my appointments. To further complicate things I have other email accounts that I use for business/professional and community work. If I want all my calendars to show on my iPhone AND sync to my iCloud, do I set this at the phone level or the iCloud level? or both?
Let me clarify....It looks like if I go into appointments that I previously set up through my personal account (ie above [email protected]) and edit the entry on my iPhone, selecting the iCloud "home" calendar within the entry, it will then sync to my iCloud account, no problem....do I have to do this to EVERY entry I have? or is there a way to name my personal account as one to sync to iCloud? -

1) How can I save/keep/transfer all Messages and Notes when I put my SIM card into a new iPhone?
I have done that but only some of the Messages and Notes are there on new phone.

* The Apple site says to be sure to Sync phone "to keep all data" (of course) but I want to make sure that includes ALL Notes and Messages and know where to find them on my computer to truly save and access them.
* I have a 4S and the newer 4S with Siri. I am going to give the 4S to a daughter and keep the 4S with Siri.
3) Will the Genius Bar people help me with this if I can't myself, or do I need to go to AT&T (gag)?
