  • How can I transfer photos from an old Windows phone to an iPhone without a PC/Mac?

My mother has used a Windows phone for the last three years and has just upgraded to an iPhone. She doesn't have a PC or Mac. I have tried using MS OneDrive, which automatically uploads pictures taken with the Windows phone, similar to the iCloud Photo Library. However, using the iOS app to access those pictures, they have been shrunk down to a tiny fraction of their original size. They are unusable, a blurry, pixilated mess. And you can only save one at a time to the iPhone camera roll. Is there any other way to do this? I obviously want the full size photos to be copied over to the iPhone, en masse.
    Thanks for any help.

I was going to suggest Dropbox but apparently they announced a Windows Phone app in November and it isn't out yet. The following appears to be a 3rd party app that will work to get things from a Windows phone to Dropbox and may be worth investigating: http://betanews.com/2014/03/06/theres-finally-a-great-dropbox-client-for-windows -phone/

  • How do you transfer photos from an android phone or from google  to iPhoto??

How do you transfer photos from an android phone or from google+ to iphoto?  I have been unable to transfer photos from my motorola photon.  The annoyingly time-consuming work-around that I've been doing is to log into google+, access "photos from my phone" and, one-at-a-time, click and drag photos into iphoto, combine all of the individual events, and then re-date the photos with an accurate timestamp.  Then, suddenly, the drag function just STOPPED from one photo to next.  Has anyone had this problem?  If so, has anyone been able to rectify it?  Has anyone used PhotoBucket?  This was just suggested to me.
Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks,  thedrew1125

Does your device use standard methods of communicating with the computer? Can you access the photos with  Image Capture (in your Applications Folder)? Has it got Bluetooth? Use that to transfer to the Mac... What connectivity does your device offer?

The devices are not designed for transfer of that kind.  Use Photo Stream as suggested by another poster, or transfer photos to your computer (a good idea anyway since they will be lost if your device needs to be reset), then use iTunes to sync them to the other devices.

how can I transfer photos from my iphone to my computer without emailing each one to myself, and I thought they would be in icloud but I can't find them

Pics taken with the iphone are imported to your computer as with any other digital camera ( as explained in the manual).
Pics synced to your iphone from your computer should still be on the computer.

How can you transfer photos from phone to phone

If you are trying to get all the photos from an old phone to your new phone, you could sync the old phone which would create a backup containing your Camera Roll. Then connect the new phone and follow the prompts to register and name your new phone. You will then be given the choice of restoring data to your new phone from a backup of the old phone. This will replace any existing data on the new phone with the data from the backup so it's really the best option if the other phone is new.
Another option would be to connect the phone to your computer and import your photos to iPhoto or the My Pictures folder. Then you could sync the other phone and under the Photos tab in iTunes you could choose the folders/albums of pictures you want on the phone. They will not be in the Camera Roll, but they will be on the phone.
    I hope this helps.

  • How can I transfer photos from my pc to iPad using iTunes?

HOw can I transfer photos from my pc to iPad using iTUnes?

Connect and select your iPad on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes, and on the right-hand side there should be a series of tabs, one of which should be Photos - if you select that tab you can then select which photo folders to sync to the iPad. There is a bit more info on this page (though it looks like Apple are doing some maintenance at the moment so the link isn't working). You will need to sync all the photos that you want on the iPad together in one go as only the most recent photo sync remains on the iPad - not including photos in a subsequent sync is how you delete them from the iPad (synced photos can't be deleted directly on the iPad).

The same way you sync music, apps.
iTunes syncs music, video, photos, and more, between your computer and iPhone. Changes you make on one device are copied to the other when you sync. You can also use iTunes to sync files and documents. See Sync with iTunes.

For a few photos, you can select them in the iPhoto library then drag and drop them to the USB key. This is a copy, so the originals will remain in iPhoto.
To move the whole library, use the procedure described here:

NOTE: When you post questions concerning just about anything on a Mac, it is essential to include information about the version of Mac OS that you are running. The latest - what you have, is OS 10.9.1.

To sync photos from a Mac or Windows PC to your device using photo applications
Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes installed.
In iTunes, select your device's icon in the Devices list on the left.
    Click the Photos tab.
    Choose "Sync photos from."
On a Mac, choose iPhoto or Aperture from the pop-up menu.
On a Windows PC, choose Photoshop Album or Photoshop Elements from the pop-up menu.
Note: Some versions of Photoshop Album and Photoshop Elements don't support collections. You can still use them to sync all your photos.
If you want to sync all your photos, enable the option for "All photos, albums, events, and faces." If you want to sync photos from only some albums, events, or faces, enable the option for "Selected albums, events, and faces" and then select the albums you want. If syncing on a Mac with iPhoto version 6.0.6 or later, you may enable the option to "Include videos" to sync videos directly from iPhoto to your device. (Requires iOS 3.0 or later).
    Click Apply.
To sync photos from a folder on your hard disk to your device
Drag the images you want into a folder on your computer. If you want images to appear in separate photo albums on your device, create folders inside the main folder and drag images into the new folders.
In iTunes, select the device icon in the Devices list on the left.
    Choose "Sync photos from."
Select Choose Folder from the pop-up menu and choose your main image folder.
    Click Apply.

How can I transfer photos from my  iMac to my iPad and not lose the ones already stored on the iPad?  When using iTunes to sync a folder from the iMac to the iPad it always removes anything previously synced.
    Help appreciated
    David

I've just found out the reason for this behaviour. I am syncing from a computer which is different to the one I first synced with. iTunes can't cope with this situation so deletes anything synced from another source.

If you are have iTunes 11 on your Mac then you may want to re-enable the left-hand sidebar via View > Show Sidebar (option-command-S on a Mac), which might make it easier to navigate.
To sync photos, connect and select your iPad on the left-hand sidebar of your computer's iTunes, and on the right-hand side there should be a series of tabs, one of which should be Photos - if you select that tab you can then select which photo folders (or iPhoto ro Aperture albums) to sync to the iPad. There is a bit more info on this page. You will need to sync all the photos that you want on the iPad together in one go as only the most recent photo sync remains on the iPad - synced photos can't be deleted directly on the iPad (unless you want to remove all synced photos), instead they are deleted by not including them in the next photo sync.
