I have a trial version of Adobe Acrobat pro, which as long since expired. Can't get it uninstalled. Any ideas?

Removing iWork from your computer is incredibly easy -- just drag it to the trash.
But that won't address the root of your problem. Your "problem" will be resolved if you just make the MS Word and PowerPoint applications the default applications to open your MS Word and PowerPoint documents (respectively).
Select an MS Word document in a Finder window and select "Get Info..." from the File menu. Click on the "Open with" disclosure triangle, then choose the MS Word application from the pop-up window and click on "Change All...".
Perform a similar sequence with a PowerPoint document (but choose the PowerPoint application from the "Open with" pop-up).

How can I make the Acrobat Pro MP3 player rewind to the beginning of the sound track.

The small rewind button on the Acrobat Pro MP3 player does not fully rewind the audio, it only jumps back a small amount each time the rewind button pressed. Is there a way to make the rewind jump back to the beginning of the sound track?
If that is not possible, is there a way to use a different skin for the MP3 player--one that would provide better controls?

How can I uninstall my Photoshop CS3 from my Mac OS Extended (Journaled)? It has never opened, since I increased the Mac's capacity to 2 TB. Now I want to throw the Photoshop CS3 away and get a brand new Photoshop CS5. There does not seem to be an uninstaller anywhere to be found. Adobe spent an hour and a half on the phone with me and could not find a work-around. We tried to reinstall the CS3 from the disk, but the installations failed.
An earlier Photoshop CS2 is also on the computer and needs to be uninstalled.
Is there a way to rescue my computer and put the new Photoshop on it?

You need to manually delete the caps.db (somewehre in the Library:Application Support:Adobe folder) and then you can trash the program folders. Without an existing caps.db, a new one wil lbe created from scratch and al linstalls should run as if there never was anything on the system just as conversely you should not have trouble simply deleting the old versions...

It is not available under the download older versions section of the website. Windows is, not Mac.

You can download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.
Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site and have cookies enabled in your browser or else the download will not work properly.

How can I change the default pdf reader from the installed (but not yet registered) Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro to Adobe Reader XI? I'm having some hiccups getting Adobe to register the software, but since I set it as the default .pdf reader during setup, things try (and fail) to open in the as yet unregistered software. How can I change it temporariiy to the Acrobat Reader XI that I have installed?

It worked! Thank you so much.
I'd opened file with the 'Open with' feature then clicking Adobe Reader,
but that didn't do it. When I used 'Open with', then 'Choose default
program...', it worked like a charm.

You installed Acrobat XI Pro Trial and you had Acrobat X Standard installed.
If Acrobat X Standard got removed then need to either reload it with your Acrobat X Standard DVD or contact Adobe to get access to the Standard download via your Adobe ID.

Much of Acrobat XI Pro did not work.properly but Adobe tells me I don't have sufficient memory despite the required 1GB being installed.
An unsatisfactory product from a company now difficult to contact by email that hides behind an unhelpful 'Help' desk in India staffed by non-proficient English speakers incapable of providing any answers not on their crib sheets.
I am directed here to get a user to do Adobe's work.
What follows indicates Adoobe sens emails from non.valid addresses.

The new machine has Mavericks which is fine. And I will leave it as is. I don’t want anything from my old machine other than 2 apps that I will need on the new one. I want to be able to install those apps that I bought from the App Store onto my new computer. I assume Apple doesn’t want me to have the apps installed on 2 machines at the same time so I wonder if just uninstalling them from my old machine will release them for re-install on the new one.
