How can i use activeX Control in labview?
how can i use activeX Control in labview?
please describe me step by step.
thanks.
Well..that was quite helpful..but now I'm encountering certain problems. I've attached the VI I've made.
I don't need sound at the moment so I dropped it. (Although I tried to play it..but all I could hear was a very annoying sound.) Secondly I don't want to display any date or time..so i dropped that property too.
Now when I run this Vi...the webcam turns on, the screen of videocapx pops up..then the webcam light goes off..and another pop up appears saying..labview is not responding..and i have to close it reluctantly.
I haven't placed the stop capture property in this vi. i checked it by placing it too..but that doesn't work.
I would like to notify that my actual task is to acquire image and then compare it with another one already present on my pc. I want you to please help me out..solve my first query then I'll proceed with the latter part.

How can we use TABLE CONTROL in BDC and WORK FLOW of ABAP.
how can we use TABLE CONTROL in BDC and WORK FLOW of ABAP.?
please explain the important questions. How to deal with table control / step loop in BDC
Steploop and table contol is inevitable in certain transactions. When we run BDC for such transactions, we will face the situation: how many visible lines of steploop/tablecontrol are on the screen? Although we can always find certain method to deal with it, such as function code 'NP', 'POPO', considering some extreme situation: there is only one line visible one the screen, our BDC program should display an error message. (See transaction 'ME21', we you resize your screen to let only one row visible, you can not enter mutiple lines on this screen even you use 'NP')
Now with the help of Poonam on sapfans.com developement forum, I find a method with which we can determine the number of visible lines on Transaction Screen from our Calling BDC program. Maybe it is useless to you, but I think it will give your some idea.
Demo ABAP code has two purposes:
1. how to determine number of visible lines and how to calculte page number;
(the 'calpage' routine has been modify to meet general purpose usage)
2. using field symbol in BDC program, please pay special attention to the difference in Static ASSIGN and Dynamic ASSIGN.
Now I begin to describe the step to implement my method:
(I use transaction 'ME21', screen 121 for sample,
the method using is Call Transation Using..)
Step1: go to screen painter to display the screen 121, then we can count the fixed line on this screen, there is 7 lines above the steploop and 2 lines below the steploop, so there are total 9 fixed lines on this screen. This means except these 9 lines, all the other line is for step loop. Then have a look at steploop itselp, one entry of it will occupy two lines.
(Be careful, for table control, the head and the bottom scroll bar will possess another two fixed lines, and there is a maximum number for table line)
Now we have : FixedLine = 9
LoopLine = 2(for table control, LoopLine is always equal to 1)
Step2: go to transaction itself(ME21) to see how it roll page, in ME21, the first line of new page is always occupied by the last line of last page, so it begin with index '02', but in some other case, fisrt line is empty and ready for input.
Now we have: FirstLine = 0
or FirstLine = 1 ( in our case, FirstLine is 1 because the first line of new page is fulfilled)
Step3: write a subroutine calcalculating number of pages
(here, the name of actual parameter is the same as formal parameter)
global data: FixedLine type i, " number of fixed line on a certain screen
LoopLine type i, " the number of lines occupied by one steploop item
FirstLine type i, " possbile value 0 or 1, 0 stand for the first line of new " scrolling screen is empty, otherwise is 1
Dataline type i, " number of items you will use in BDC, using DESCRIBE to get
pageno type i, " you need to scroll screen how many times.
line type i, " number of lines appears on the screen.
index(2) type N, " the screen index for certain item
begin type i, " from parameter of loop
end type i. " to parameter of loop
*in code sample, the DataTable-linindex stands for the table index number of this line
form calpage using FixedLine type i (see step 1)
LoopLine type i (see step 1)
FirstLine type i (see step 2)

changing pageno type i (return the number of page, depends on run-time visible line in table control/ Step Loop)
changing line type i.(visible lines one the screen)
data: midd type i,
vline type i, "visible lines

index = index + Line - 1.

if Line = 2.
index = index + Line - 1.

changing begin type i

How can one use Mission Control with two monitors? Please bring Spaces back
How can one use Mission Control with two monitors. With Spaces I could treat each space as a single desktop.
SyBBI use two monitors at work and have no issue. I have my mail set to use Desktop 1 and iTunes set to the second monitor of Desktop 1. I have browsers set to Desktop 2 and Fusion and RDC set to Desktop 3.
Two things that may help you. In System Preferences > Mission Control, disable the setting "Automatically rearrange spaces...". This screwed with assigning applications to certain spaces. And the other thing is don't use full screen on apps that support it. This just makes your second monitor superfluous. -

Can I use, and how can I use voice control with my iPad 2?
Is it possible to use the voice control with my iPad 2? If so, how can I use it? Since there is no siri for iPad yet, I'd like to use something similar to it and I've seen this built in voice control before but I was not sure if it's possible with the iPad.
Not yet, however you can download the new google app. This offers voice seeking on the net.

How can I use table control to enter data
Hi all,
I want to use table control to enter data, instead of using textboxes.
So that the user can enter many data at once and just click the save button at the end of the work, only one click.
How can I use the table control at this context?
Thanks.

How can I use USB interface in Labview?
Hi.
Does labview allow to USB interface?
I have been seen allowing GPIB and RS232.
I'm beginer at Labview and wanna use USB interface for my target system and pc.
I wanna know how to labview interfaces from target system to pc.
And if Labview doesn't provide USB interface module, how can I use USB?
Is using a USB at Labview hard to beginer?
Plz, answer to my quetion.
sorry, my English is very poor.
thx for reading my article. You can access devices connected to the USB port, but not in the same way as you would a GPIB or RS232 device. There are no USB drivers like there is VISA for GPIB or serial. Rather devices that plug into the USB appear to the systen as some sort of standard resource like a printer, disk drive or IO board. LabVIEW then interacts with these devices as it would any other device of the same type.Look at it this way, if you have a USB daq device you will access it through MAX the same as if it were a plugin card. Can you use ActiveX controls in PL/SQL?
I am trying to find a way to start email from within a database trigger. Someone told me I could use an ActiveX Control (custom made by a colleague). Although I have never worked with ActiveX or OLE, I know that it is possible to use them in Forms. Is is also possible to call an ActiveX in PL/SQL? How? And if it is impossible, could someone tell me another way to start email (the application is to be implemented in a Windows NT Network).
Lots of thanks for any answer or advice,
Joeri Folman
nullJoen,
I am not totally sure what you mean when you say 'start email', but you should check out the utl_smpt packages in the database. They can be used to send email messages from the database. I believe that you need to have an email server (like sendmail) running on the machine for these to work correctly.
Check out Oracle Built-In Packages by Steven Feuerstein. Steven also has a real good book on PL/SQL programming that you may find helpful. -
How can I use local variable in LabVIEW-Action?
Hi All!
There is local variable (for example "MyVariable") in local scope of project. There is Action-step, created by LabVIEW. One of input terminals step is "Sequence Context".
How can I access to MyVariable by Sequence Context? Unbundle? It does't work.
Thank you.On the TestStand palette there is a VI called TestStand - Get Property Value.vi. Use that. Attached is an image showing how to use it. The trick is making it produce the correct data type. Do that by right clicking on the VI and selecting Select Type. Then you can choose the type. I think in LV 2010 and TS 2010 it is a polymorphic VI and you can just change it. I wrote an example here for Chaz: http://forums.ni.com/t5/NI-TestStand/How-to-execute-two-steps-in-parallel/td-p/1449874
It's the second example that's attached.
Hope this helps,

How can i use multi threading in labview?
i want to run a Digital storage oscilloscope and an energ ratio meter simultaneously using labview. i am using GPIB interfacing and windows XP. how can i do this using multi threading. Bot the instruments shd run and give data at the same time.
You can't do this - at least not with a single GPIB board. It has nothing to do with threading or LabVIEW. There can only be one talker at a time over the bus. Depending on the instruments, you could probably set them up to take measurements simultaneously but you have to sequentially poll them to get the data.

Does it have to any transfer function? Or is it some limitations
Besides which, my opinion is that Express VIs Carthage must be destroyed deleted

tion is running fine without giving any error messages. But even after the vi stops, excel process does not shutdown. "Excel.exe" process keeps running until I end it from Windows NT Task Manager. Is there any way to end the excel.exe process from Labview?
tion is running fine without giving any error messages. But even after the vi stops, excel process does not shutdown. "Excel.exe" process keeps running until I end it from Windows NT Task Manager. Is there any way to end the excel.exe process from Labview?I use Excel Active X control frequently to save and then analysis test data. In order to properly destroy the "Excel.exe" process it is important to close all the automation refnums opened when using the Excel active x controls. After completing your desired Excel task wire all the refnums in reverse order they were created into the Automation Close function in Functions->Communication->Active X pallette. This includes all Application, Workbook, Worksheet, or Range refnum. Missing even one of these refnums will mean that Excel.exe will still persist in the task manager and cause problems when excel is opened from outside LabVIEW. I hope this helps.

As a dinosaur, I still like getting my music on CD's (and, in fact, I still have quite an LP collection). But even CD's are becoming harder to come by these days and I have found that with the right sampling and codec (256KB/vbr AAC), my lossy compre

Ipod recharge in foreign country
I'm going abroad to the Middle East with my iPod. I was wondering if the iPod nano recharger would work with a simple converter. I've heard that the battery overheats and "explodes" when plugged in to recharge. Will it be safe to rechrge? Thanks for
