Thank you, I understand, yeah, I knew that, my phone is factory unlocked and I am going home, which is obviously not in the States and I am thinking of buying a local carrier there. However, I still have 2 weeks before I leave and cannnot wait to start using my Iphone 4. I thought at least I could use the mp3 player function. Some iOS apps will allow you to connect to other iOS devices for peer-to-peer games, or sending photos, but not to other makes of phone.

I have used Ambrosia's Snapz Pro X ($69) for years, but they are currently upgrading their Kext (Kernel Extension) software for changes inroduced by the Lion release so it might not be your best bet at this time. I also use ScreenFlow but it is a combination capture and editing utility which runs $99 and may include more features than you may need or will use. Have also tried Screenflick ($29) which, to some extent, appears to have a functionality somewhere between that of Snapz Pro X and ScreenFlow. It is a bit more complicated to set up but for the price might be the best bargin at this point. All three can capture the entire screen or a portion thereof, with or without mic/line and/or system audio. (Or at least they all will as soon as Ambrosia updates its Kext routine.)

Can I relocate the airport base station to downstairs and connect it to the Sawtooth there for receiving wireless from the Verizon router and broadcast further to its wireless network? If so, how do I set up the airport station downstairst? If not, I know that I have get a PCI wifi for the Sawtooth downstairs.

Sorry but no the AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS) will not wirelessly connect to the network provided by the Verizon FiOS router.
What you could do is get another AEBS, an AX, or a Time Capsule and place that downstairs. Then use that device to wirelessly connect to the wireless network provided by your current AEBS. If your current AEBS is not 802.11n capable then you would need to use WDS to make this happen. One bad thing about WDS is that each WDS link cuts your affective wireless bandwidth in half.

When you have completed your lasso selection, you should see the "marching ants", the animated outline around the area you selected. Don't click in the photo again or you will lose your selection. When the selection is active (ants are marching), just press Ctrl+C (command+C on a mac) to copy the selection. Then you can paste it into another photo by using Ctrl+V (command+V), or go to File>New>From Clipboard to save the face into a separate file so you can use it later.

You will need to "migrate" the itunes data from the Mac to the PC.

The 2 options for saving a video file from Movie Maker are either DV-AVI or WMV. To create a Mac-compatible video file, open the MSWMM file in Windows Movie Maker, save the movie at the highest quality setting WMV or preferably as a DV-AVI format file. Import this finished AVI or WMV file into iMovie or other Mac video editing application.
After the MSWMM file saving as AVI or WMV file in our PC, you can play the WMV/AVI files on your PC and convert them to another video format or burn to DV

I now have Tiger and am thinking about getting Leopard. However,
I would like to know what I might have to do, or if it is possible, to
make a video using my iMac to record and then upload to a web page.
I may ask this elsewhere, but I also need some input on creating a
web page with an iMac. I used an old version of FrontPage to create
some websites, but now that I have an iMac not sure which way to
go.

A follow up question.
I guess I can record a video using the iSight camera and mic in my iMac?
In other words, I would use iSight with my iMovie application, correct?
So that brings up something else...
If I were to upgrade to Leopard, could I use iSight to record a video and use one of the backgrounds provided in Leopard to block out the normal background that might be seen through iSight? I guess I can do that with iChat in Leopard but I have no idea if that means I can create the video with that background.
And then, of course, I would like to create the video and post it online: that would be the ultimate goal. Or, I guess, even post it on YouTube if needed.
