Hi,
I am new to xcelsius dashboard doing.....
I  am using the normal excel as a data source and prepared the dashboard..........
after the SWF was done. now i am changing my data  in excel and added new rows. how it will be reflect to  dashboard......
where  i have to do modifications.......

Hello Ravi,
Is that excel is modified dynamically or Statically .
If that is changing dynamically you have you select the range when ever you are mapping to the component,In the component properties Ignore empty rows.
Hope this helps.

  • Is there any documentation which throws light on how data aggregation happens in data warehouse grooming? what algorithm exactly it follows in different aggregation type (raw, hourly, daily)?

    Is there any documentation which throws light on how data aggregation happens in data warehouse grooming? what algorithm exactly it follows in different aggregation type (raw, hourly, daily)?
    How exactly it picks up a specific data value during Hourly aggregations and Daily aggregations?As in  How the value is chosen. Does it say averages out or simply picks  value at the start of the hour/day or end of the hour/day ??

    I'll try one more time. :)
    Views in the operations console are derived from data in the operational database. This is always raw data, and typically does not go back more than 7 days.
    Reports get data from the data warehouse. Unless you create a custom report that uses raw data, you will never see raw data in a report - Microsoft and probably all 3rd party vendors do not develop reports that fetch raw data.
    Reports use aggregated data - hourly and daily. The data is aggregated by min, max, and avg sample for that particular aggregation. If it's hourly data, then you will see the min, max, and avg for that entire hour. Same goes for daily - you will see the
    min, max, and avg data sample for that entire day.
    And to try clarifying even more, the values you see plotted on the report are avg samples. If you drill into the performance detail report, then you can see the min, max, and avg samples, as well as standard deviation (which is calculated based on these
    three values).

  • How data is populated in EUL5_QPP_STATS table?

    there are  few reports that are run monthly and the records of executed Discoverer reports were stored in EUL5_QPP_STATS table. But the information stopped getting recorded in this table from april 2014. Can anyone tell me how data is inserted in this table and whats is the cause of this issue.

    Hi
    Can anyone Please answer to my question

  • How data is written in table

    Hi All,
    I have a table which contains 2 main columns apart from other columns. These two columns are REC_ID and ENTRY_DATE_TIME.
    In this table data is inserted through a data load process using SQL Loader. REC_ID is populated to table through a sequence and ENTRY_DATE_TIME is populated as a sysdate.
    select rec_id, to_char(entry_date_time, 'dd-mon-yyyy hh24:mi:ss') entry_date_time from itpcs_grt_oa_tran_rdpk_stock order by 1;
    REC_ID ENTRY_DATE_TIME
    1     12-oct-2012 07:06:23
    2     12-oct-2012 07:06:31
    3     12-oct-2012 07:06:35
    4     12-oct-2012 07:06:21
    5     12-oct-2012 07:06:32
    If we see the data, then time for REC_ID 4 is less than REC_ID 3.
    Now the question is if REC_ID is populated through a sequence then sequence 3 must have been created before REC_ID 4 and if so then why the ENRTY_DATE_TIME of REC_ID 4 is less than REC_ID 3.
    Further to the question, Can anyone please explain me how data is written in tables. What steps are performed by at database level when we any DML(insert) is performed.

  • What are the advantages of idoc compare to flat file. how data is secure

    what are the advantages of idoc compare to flat file. how data is secure in idocs compare to flat file

    Hi Ramana,
    In simple words, Main advantage with idoc over flat file is security....
    I will explain you some scenario here U got a flat file with all the data...Now u r having the flat file if you want u can modify the data in it, or somehow any one can modify the data in it  if they were able to access this file. That means u maintained the file in the presentation server
    One level of higher security to the above level is maintaining the flat file in application server, at point also even though lot of people r not having the access to that file, super user who is  having  the access may modify the data or delete the data from it rite....
    so in both of those levels u don't have 100% security...
    So there come to the picture of idocs, Idocs simply data carriers, those r generated by a program but not manually...data will be divided into number of segments based upon ur program. So manually its not so easy to modify the data in these idocs. If any changes to be made in the data then u have to modify the data in the application and then u have to update the idoc or you have to generate the new idoc with that corresponding data. so in this case not even super user can manipulate the data directly in the idoc....
    I think u got my point what I mean to say.....

  • By using middleware how data can be passed from ecc to crm?

    By using middleware how data can be passed from ecc to crm?

    Hello,
    If middleware setup is done for the data exchange between ECC and CRM, then you can use customizing objects
    (available in txn R3AC3) and business objects (available in txn R3AC1) , and condition/pricing related objects in available in txn R3AC5, which can be used for extracting data from R/3 to CRM. You can also find some upload objects for uploading the data
    from CRM to R/3.
    You can use transaction R3AS, to perform the initial load of customizing/Biz objects.
    Once initial load is done, any delta changes would come automatically to CRM by means of delta load.
    You also have request load, using which you can download range of materials/BPs which are missing or needs to be updated in CRM.
    If you have any specific questions, let me know.
    Hope this helps!

    I linux inode which contains 13 member array wich stores the actual block address of data .Similarly in windows how data is managed in disk ?. How many members in this array ?

    Hello Vijay Nerkar,
    Your question is not related to Windows Forms General. What is the data you mean and also what is that array?
    If you are looking for something related to Windows File System, see some words here:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File_system
    For example
    "Windows makes use of the
    FAT, NTFS,
    exFAT and ReFS file systems (the last of these is only supported and usable in
    Windows Server 2012; Windows cannot boot from it).
    Windows uses a drive letter abstraction at the user level to distinguish one disk or partition from another. For example, the
    path <tt>C:\WINDOWS</tt> represents a directory <tt>WINDOWS</tt> on the partition represented by the letter C. Drive C: is most commonly used for the primary hard disk partition, on which Windows is usually installed and from which it boots. This "tradition"
    has become so firmly ingrained that bugs exist in many applications which make assumptions that the drive that the operating system is installed on is C. The use of drive letters, and the tradition of using "C" as the drive letter for the primary hard disk
    partition, can be traced to
    MS-DOS, where the letters A and B were reserved for up to two floppy disk drives. This in turn derived from
    CP/M in the 1970s, and ultimately from IBM's
    CP/CMS of 1967.

  • Anyone know exactly how Date works?

    After several postings to the long and rather fruitless thread about Date, I thought I'd try a little test for myself to see how/whether Java handles leap seconds.
    Here's my code, based on Wikipedia, which says that the last UTC leap second was added on 2008/12/31:
    public static void main(String... args) {
       TimeZone utc = TimeZone.getTimeZone("UTC");
       SimpleDateFormat sdf = new SimpleDateFormat("yyyy/MM/dd HH:mm:ss.SSS z");
       sdf.setTimeZone(utc);
       long t = 1230768000000L; // 2009/1/1 00:00:00 UTC
       for (int s = -2; s < 3; s++) {
          Date instant = new Date(t + (s * 1000L));
          System.out.println(sdf.format(instant));
    }which produces:
    2008/12/31 23:59:58.000 UTC
    2008/12/31 23:59:59.000 UTC
    2009/01/01 00:00:00.000 UTC
    2009/01/01 00:00:01.000 UTC
    2009/01/01 00:00:02.000 UTC
    The results surprised me, because it tends to suggest that Date's "ticker" (like Unix's) is not linear, but adjusts before/after the leap second to maintain a minute that is always 60 seconds. I also double-checked it with 31/12/1995 (which is listed in Date's documentation) and it produces similar results.
    As a 3rd test, I added:
       GregorianCalendar gc1 = new GregorianCalendar(utc);
       gc1.set(1995, 11, 31, 23, 59, 58);
       gc1.set(Calendar.MILLISECOND, 0);
       GregorianCalendar gc2 = new GregorianCalendar(utc);
       gc2.set(1996, 0, 1, 0, 0, 2);
       gc2.set(Calendar.MILLISECOND, 0);
       System.out.println(String.format(
          "The difference between %s and %s is %d milliseconds",
             sdf.format(gc1.getTime()),
             sdf.format(gc2.getTime()),
             gc2.getTime().getTime() - gc1.getTime().getTime()
       ));and this produced:
    The difference between 1995/12/31 23:59:58.000 UTC and 1996/01/01 00:00:02.000 UTC is 4000 milliseconds.
    ( which it isn't :-) )
    I'd be happy for anyone to tell me if I've made a mistake, but the above results suggest to me that neither of Java's main time classes are completely safe for calculating intervals of time. Does this go along with other people's findings?
    Also, does anybody know if this is machine-dependent? It was run on a Dell AMD Athlon running Vista.

    You seek implementation details of java.util.Date. Why don't you simply look at the source or at least start there.

    Are you concerned that if you compute an interval of say, 1000 milliseconds, exactly 1000 milliseconds may not have actually elapsed? My guess is the answer is likely to be found in how Date.getTime() comes up with the long value.
    Also, does anybody know if this is machine-dependent? It was run on a Dell AMD Athlon running Vista.
    Theoretically it should not with Java being platform independent and all. It would most likely depend though on where and how Date comes up the long value in the host environment. I honestly don't know any implementation details though.

  • How data flow when SSIS packages are run on a different server than the DB server

    The scenario is that i have a dedicated SQL SErver 2014 SSIS machine that executes the packages.
    The database server is a separate machine with SQL Server 2008R2.
    1) Running SSIS packages that transfer data within SQL Server 2008R2 (same machine)
    2) Running SSIS packages that transfer data between 2 separate SQL Server servers.
    How the data flow in these two cases and what resource is being used where? (cpu,disk,ram,network)
    Elias

    When you have a dedicated SSIS server, all data read flows to that server, is processed using the resources of that ETL server and then sent back over the network to the destination server.
    It doesn't matter if source and destination are the same server. If you use a data flow, all data flows over the network twice.
    The only exception is when you don't use a data flow, but only SQL statements. In that case, data flows only between source and destination.

  • How data update when there is two planning cubes in one aggregation level

    If we have two planning cubes and a multi-cube includes these two planning cubes.
    then we have the aggregation level defined based on this multi-cube.
    if the characteristics and key figures defined in aggregation level all are included in these two planning cubes. When we plan the data with plan query based on this aggregation level, which plan cube will be updated with plan data, or both of them?

    HI Wang,
    yes as Bindu said you need to restrict the layout based on the infoprovider.
    Lets assume that we have a multi provider M1 and it has two planning cubes cube1 and cube1.
    in case u develop a layout for updating cube 1 give the restriction in the filter section as infoprovider = cube1.
    or the vice versa.
    Else ur layout must input values for both the cubes simultaneously, then in that case create two restricted KF with each having a restriction for cube1 and cube 2.
    so wen the user enters value for the first restricted KF it will get saved in cube1 and wen he enters value for the second  restricted KF it will gets saved in cube2.
    This is how it works. Guess this was useful to u.

  • How data usage is saved in Current usage / Data   ?

    i like to know who does the data usage is saved under Current usage / Data   ?
    for example at 3:15 shows i used 110 MB  and about 3:40 shows 5MB
    is the 110MB usage  saved as one time use or tru out a x amount time ? and how does Verizon calculate the size of data and time the data was used .
    thank you

        Hello there nosferatu2xlc! Thanks so much for using your Data Usage tool at My Verizon. I love that feature. I recommend any customer with a smartphone do the same as you are! The data usage is calculated at the close of connection. So the 110 mb that you show for 3:15 is all data reported to have been send/received by your phone for a browsing session that ended at 3:15. The same is true for the 5 mb later in the day.  We calculate data based on measurement of info we show transmitted by your phone on your line. I hope that helps!

  • How data retrieves from an Oracle table

    Hi,
    I have inserted record by record with record_number in a Oracle table. I have executed below query in PL/SQL developer. It displayed the result in same sequence order how I have inserted. But when in Toad it given in different order which does not have any sequence.
    select * from bbs_user
    Anyone please explain this why it is? Please treat this as very urgent.
    Thanks in advance.

    Welcome to the forums.
    In a forum of volunteers, not being a support forum, there is no such thing as 'very urgent'. Your use of this two words in your very first post must be considered insulting and rude.
    Also it appears you are completely clueless with respect to relational databases. Relational databases are about sets.
    By definition -in mathematics- a set has no order.
    If you want your data ordered you must use the ORDER BY clause in your SELECT statement.
    Also I notice both Pl/SQL developer and Toad are non-Oracle products, so questions about these products do not belong in this forum.
