How do I accept comments in Adobe Acrobat X Pro?

I have a document with comments and would like to know how to accept the comments and remove the proofread symbols in the text.

You read wrong. Acrobat can only export geo markup to an FDF data packet (for re-import into another PDF).

How do I activate my purchased Adobe Acrobat XI Pro for Win now that it is downloaded and installed?  Was having internet issues when prompted and now can't find?

You need to use the serial number that comes with the purchase to activate the software.  If you have an issue with reards to the serial number, you need to contact Adobe Support either by chat or via phone when you have serial number and activation issues.
Here is a link to a page with options to help make contact:

How much does a multi-user Adobe Acrobat XI Pro cost?

It has already been said, but just to clarify the updates are what you would seem to call a minor update. The upgrades to a new major number (1>2>3>4>5>6>7>8>9>X>XI>??) are what you seem to call major updates. The upgrades are not free, but the updates are. Sorry for the numbering, I could not resist. I have been using Acrobat since version 2.

  • How to "flatten" a pdf in Adobe Acrobat X Pro

Is there a feature in Adobe Acrobat X Pro similar to that in Bluebeam that allows the user to "flatten" the pdf? What this means is that images, text boxes and other additions to the pdf become seamlessly integrated into the pdf, guaranteeing they will display on other users' computers and when printed.

I did try to open the resulting PDF to see if the fields/annotations were flattened. How would I know if they were flattened?
The images I added get a thin blue border around them and become shaded when I click on them after flattening.
Before flattening, they get a thin blue border with squares on each corner to drag, change size, etc.
Does this mean they were successfully flattened?
I do not understand this: “I just tried with Preflight (Acrobat 9) and it made all of the check boxes selected when it flattened them.” What check boxes are you referring to?
Please see the below window. Is that where I am supposed to be? If so, am I supposed to click “Analyze and Fix” or do something else?
Philip Jones in post 15 suggested “Selecting All then use the Flattening.” However, that makes no difference for me.

  • Not good tool for handwritting comments in Adobe Acrobat X pro

    Hi,
I have evaluated Adobe Acrobat X pro for adding handwritting comments on my university pdf documents.
I normally use Office One Note 2010 to take quite good notes but the official college documents are .pdf format., so
it is very useful to be able to take notes over those .pdf.
The main problem is that the Adobe handwritting tool doesn´t work very well: it is a bit slow from moving your tablet-pen to
the line on the document; if you try to write to different lines together, Adobe understands that you want to select the first one (try to
write 90º line with to lines).
It would be great if Adobe gives Acrobat possibilities similar to Office One Note, even to develop a new solution to take notes .pdf format.
    Thanks

  • How to edit email preferences in Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro

I have adobe Acrobat 9 Pro.
I would like to edit my email preferences so that when I create an email with the PDF as an attachment the name of the file will automatically also be the subject line of the email.
according to the help instructions, I should find this by: " open the Preferences dialog box, and under Categories, select Email Accounts."
In my version, "Email Accounts" does not appear in the categories list.
Where do I go to edit email preferences?

thank you for the suggestion, but I do not have a "Send Email" or "Submit" button available in my version. I have "Attach to email" option which automatically opens a new message in MS outlook (which I did not set up, it just started doing so automatically) without any further dialogue boxes or options.
Also, this is only for regular PDF files, not forms.

  • Commenting in Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro

I have to send pdf documents which allow commenting by those reviewing the document.  However, I need to ensure that when the people are adding comments to the document they cannot copy the content or the images.  When I set the password for permissions for changes allowed to allow commenting the content and images can be copied and pasted.  Can I allow commenting but still have security on the document to stop any copying of the document content?
    Thanks

You can restrict copying while still allowing commenting.

  • How can I install my new Adobe Acrobat XI Pro

I have completed all the required info. I have the serial #, redemption # product # but i am unable to install the software.

You can download the software from here Download Acrobat products | Standard, Pro | XI, X and use the serial number to install the application.

  • Portable Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extended

    Hello,
how can i make a portable Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extended.
how can i add my plug-in to a portable Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extended.

You can not.  Adobe does not support such a concept and the software doesn't work in such an environment.
Now why would you need one?  Are you developing a solution around Acrobat that needs to be deployed with your application?  Then you should be looking at the Adobe PDFLibrary - which is basically a headless version of Acrobat that you deliver with your apps.

  • File Extraction Error during Adobe Acrobat XI Pro installation

I continually no matter how many times I re-download Adobe Acrobat XI Pro Student and Teacher Edition, I receive the same error "Error in extracting files. Re-download Adobe Acrobat XI Pro." (Paraphrased).  Suggestions?

This was my goofup... please be sure to type subst and not substr Z: "C:\Windows" in the command prompt for Admin.
The source I copied and pasted from added the "r"
With the proper command adjusting the "invalid" drive, the install of acrobat succeeded.

  • Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro - License Agreement ACCEPT does not work

Today I purchased a license for Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro, downloaded the software and installed. I execute the program and when I get to License Agreement I select accept and nothing happens. I can't get beyond this point.
I called Adobe Tech Support and they weren't able to help. I've seen many posts about this and no definite answer.
Before requesting a refund, does anybody know how to fix this problem?
I installed on Windows 7 Pro.
    Thank you,

I know this is an old posting, but for those like me who couldn't find the answer:
Had the exact same problem and  tried all the previous tips to resolve, including registering the  jscript.dll.
Thanks to the genius who posted the answer on another  'windows' forum (wish I could find that again).
Create a new  local admin account (add that account to the administrator  group).
Login to the new account and launch Acrobat. Then  (hopefully) you can click "Accept" to the license agreement.
The  registry key it creates is: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Adobe  Acrobat\9.0\AdobeViewer\EULAAcceptedForBrowser (DWORD=0x00000001). Not  sure if you can just manually add the registry value as I had already  fixed it by creating the new local account.
After it accepts the  license agreement, you can go back into your normal profile and run  acrobat. yea!.

  • How do I access LiveCycle Designer from my Adobe Acrobat X Pro?

I am unable to access LifeCycle ES2 from my Adobe Acrobat X pro, even though I am supposed to have it as part of the software.  I have tried Forms/Edit forms, and I have looked for it through all the menus.  Several of the helps I have found for other things has me launch LifeCycle and operate from screens that LifeCycle designer provides.
I am using Windows XP professional.
I would appreciate all the help I can get on this.
    Thanks

This worked!   I had to go into the system and launch it from the Designer
9.0 folder, but thanks to your instructions I now have use of it.
    Thank You!

There is a terminology issue here.  From Acrobat Pro X you launch Designer
not LiveCycle ES2.  LiveCycle is a server product.
When you install Acrobat you have the option to install or not install
Designer.  Look in the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 10.0
and check to see if there is a Designer 9.0 folder.  When in Acrobat you
should be able to create a new form and it will prompt if you want to use
Designer.  If all else fails you can always go into the Designer 9.0
    folder and launch FormDesigner.exe
