How do I access the AF Portal with SCR331 reader in Mac OS 10.5.6

I have searched every website known to man and I am unable to find a way to access the AF Portal using a CAC reader issued to me. It is an SCR331. It shows up just fine in Keychain Access and I am successful in adding a new identity for the website. But when I go to the website www.my.af.mil and hit the button to access using my CAC card, it says that I have hit the Cancel button.
Any ideas?

To All,
I encountered the same problems you describe with the Air Force portal. Followed all recommendations to no avail. After lots of trial and error this is what I did in my setup and worked:
1. close all open programs. Open keychain access, connect the reader, insert CAC, select CAC keychain by clicking on it once, you will see a list with 3 certificates and 3 private keys to the right.
2. double click on the certificates and find the one that shows "Usage Digital Signature, Non-Repudiation" and Purpose #1 Smartcard Logon, Purpose #2 Email Protection, Purpose #3 Client Authentication". This is the right certificate for online CAC authentication.
3. control-click the CAC certificate identified as the right one in step 2 and create an identity preference for each server addresses that the AF Portal has:
https://www.my.af.mil/EAI_JUNCTION/eai/
https://www.my.af.mil/EAI_JUNCTION/eai/auth
https://www.my.af.mil
I had to create an identity preference for each; for some reason if I don't use all three, login fails.
If you also want to access the virtual MPF, also create an identity preference with the following server: https://w20.afpc.randolph.af.mil/afpcsecurenet20/
Note that these server addresses are case-sensitive and you need to put the "/" just as I did above.
4. verify the identity preferences were created by selecting the login keychain, you should see them in there.
5. open safari and enter: https://www.my.af.mil in the safari address bar. Enter PIN number if requested. I have noticed that sometimes it will work flawlessly and sometimes the server will reject the certificate and ask you to select a different one. If I select the one that says DOD EMAIL CA-15 and hit enter (sometimes repeatedly) it will then work. Don't know why this happens but have read is a USAF server-side issue.
Once you are able to access the portal, logout and try the vMPF by entering https://w20.afpc.randolph.af.mil/afpcsecurenet20/ in the Safari address bar
hit OK if presented with a consent screen. You may be given a username/password screen, reenter https://w20.afpc.randolph.af.mil/afpcsecurenet20/ into the address and try again, you should be in AFPC secure.
I tested this in a 2008 white macbook with an OmniKey 3121 USB reader and an Oberthur ID One v5.2 CAC card. My OS is 10.5.6.
Please let me know if this helps.

  • How do I use the App store with macbook pro and mac pro

I currently use the app store with the mac book, but want to buy (share?) apps and music with the mac pro.
I can't find anything that specifically outlines how this works.
I use SplashID with the macbook and an iPhone, and want to use it (and sync it) on the mac pro as well.
If you buy apps for a macbook, can you use them on a second machine, or do you need to buy it a second time?

Your license from the MAS allows you to download and install the apps on as many Macs as you own or have under your control (institutional or employer supplied Macs.) The Mac should to be running Mac OS X 10.6.8 Snow Leopard or Mac OS X 10.7.2 Lion. Open the MAS app on the Mac Pro and sign into your account to have access to download all of your previous purchases in the Purchased pane.
Simple apps can also be dragged & dropped over a network connection from the MacBook to the Mac Pro.

  • How can I access the address file with all contact info and print it?

i'd like to be able to print out address info, phone no.s, etc but not do that one contact at a time so I'm looking for a file that might have all the contact info available in one place that I can access.

Export your address book as a Comma Separated (csv) file and then open it in Excel. Then you can arrange the data any way you desire.
Open the Address Book window and from the menu bar select Tools-Export.

  • On imac 10.6.8 using current version of Aperture.  How can I access the Aperture Library  on my external hard drive that I use with time machine for backup?  I can only access the application but not the library..

On imac 10.6.8 using current version of Aperture.  How can I access the Aperture Library  on my external hard drive that I use with time machine for backup?  I can only access the application but not the library..

Go into Time Machine (the program not the bundle on the extrnal disk) and using Time Machine's browser go to the Folder where the library lives. You could look in the library bundle in Time Machine but that won't really tell you much,
If you want to make sure it truely has backed up your library you will need to restore it and open the restored library with Aperture.
If all this still has you confused you need to read up on Time Machine in order to get a feel for how it works, for what it is doing and for how to restore files from it.

  • How do I access the data saved on my time capsule?  for example, if i try to view my photos it tells me that i have 2.4gb of photos and gives me the option to "view with iPhoto"....but when i click on "view with iPhoto" nothing happens...  thanks!

how do i access the data stored on my time capsule?  for example, if i try to view a photo, i get the option to "view with iphoto" but when i click on "view with iphoto" nothing happens.  i'm having similar trouble openning up movies, music, etc.  it appears as though the files exist / saved on the time capsule (because i can see how much storage they consume), but i can't open them.  thanks!

Unfortunately, Apple removed the feature to "browse backups" in Time Machine backups of iPhoto a few years ago.
You have to restore the entire iPhoto library to a separate location to be able to "see" it, and then choose the specific images that you want use.
For complete details, see #15 in Pondini's excellent support document Time Machine -- FAQ.  Check the information in the pink box there.

  • I have a MacPro with two 1T hard drives. How do I access the hard drive that is not the start-up drive?

I purchased a MacPro and upgraded to 2 1T hard drives.  How do I access the hard drive that is not the start-up drive?

Have you formatted these new drives yet with Disk Utility?  That is the first step.
Once they are formatted, if you want to see them on your desktop open the Finder preferences, General, and clock the checkbox that says "Show these items on the desktop" for the hard disks.  If that preference was already set you should see the drives appear after they are formatted.  Then they are there for you to use as you wish.

I have the same issue.  While I am sure your solution would work, my playlist has over 6,000 songs and hiting every song to download it is not very practical.  Is there another way?
I am looking to have a subset of my music physically on my phone so that I can play it without internet access, but have access to the entire library when I do have internet access.

  • HT5043 How do I access the photos in the Aperture 3.4 library with adobe lightroom 4

how do I access photos in Aperture with adobe 4.  Aperture now has a shared library with iphoto

You don't, in a word. Lighroom understands neither the iPhoto nor the Aperture Library. Export the files from iPhoto / Aperture to the Finder and take it from there.

  • I have an Ipad, I activated the time capsule with no issues. I added the airport Utility application without issue.  However, I do not know how to access the hard drive with either my Windows computer or the Ipad.  Does someone know how?

I have an Ipad, I activated the time capsule with no issues. I added the airport Utility application without issue.  However, I do not know how to access the hard drive with either my Windows computer or the Ipad.  Does someone know how?

On windows load the airport utility .. latest correct version as possible.. there is no windows 8 but win7 works after a fashion.
Make sure the TC is using SMB compatible names.. short no spaces and pure alphanumeric.
Type the name directly into windows explorer.
    \\TCname or \\TCIPaddress
If no luck turn off all the firewalls.. internal windows plus security software plus whatever other gargyoles and other rubbish AV software you have running.
Ensure windows is able to at least ping the TC by IP address and name..
Use the utility in windows to set file sharing to guest account on with full read and write access.. and set workgroup to WORKGROUP.

  • How do I access the remote(requesting) clients IP address through the Portal API?

How can I access the remote(requesting) clients IP address through the Portal API?
On our 4.5 - IIS system, we can acces it using the Request.ServerVariables("Remote_Addr") in the ASP pages.
We are deploying 5.0 on Java Portal and would like to be able to do this through the Portal's API so I can call it in one of our custom login Activity space or control etc.
I have looked documentation for the HTTPServletRequest object. It seems like we should be able to access it through one of the methods getRemoteAddr if we can get a handle to HTTPServletRequest object through the Plumtree's framework.
I think the XPRequest object encapsulates the HTTPServletRequest but I didn't see getRemoteAddr method listed in the Javadocs.
Is there a way to access the client's IP address through the Plumtree's framework?
I need to do this so we know the location of the user and in our business case we have fixed IP adresss which let us identify which location is user accessign the system from. We can't do this through preferences or profile because we have to use generic userid for the specifc group of users.
Any help on this would be appreciated.
    Thanks.
    Vanita

Hi, Vanita. For now, you can use
    stringsClientIP = HttpContext.Current.Request.ServerVariables["REMOTE_ADDR"].ToString();
    Hope that helps!

You can get Mifi devices (the iPad connects to it via wifi and they then give access to 3G networks). I've never used one and I don't know if they are available in Canada (and if so how much they would cost). If you have an iPhone then you could also use that as a mobile hotspot
