How do I activate my icloud account from my iPad

How do I activate my icloud account from my iPad

Settings/iTunes and App Store log out then log in with new ID.  you might want to change ID in iMessage, FaceTime and Siri and delete the cloud account and create one with new ID.  remember apps are forever linked to the ID used to download them and can only be updated with that ID

If you are trying to activate an iPad or iPhone and it is asking for a previous owners Apple ID and password, you have encountered the Activation Lock. This is a security feature that prevents thieves from setting up and using a stolen or lost iPad or iPhone. You have no alternative. You must use the previous owner's password to get permission to use the device. If you cannot get the password your father put on the iPad you will never be able to activate the device and no one can help you do it.

How do I delete an iCloud account from my iPad that I no longer know the password for and have no access to the email account to change it?

You will need the password. If you can't get it reset via http://iforgot.apple.com (if you remember the answers to the account's security questions then you should be able to reset it via them) then try contacting Support in your country, they should be able to reset it.
Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT569
If your country isn't on that page then try this form and explain and see what they reply with : https://ssl.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html

  • How do i delete my iCloud account from my iPad with an updated Apple ID?

How do i delete my iCloud account from my iPad with an updated Apple ID?
It requires i log into FindMyiPad to delete the iCloud account however the Apple ID has changed therefore the username/password no longer exists.
This is just sending me in circles to log into to a non-existant apple id with no password to delete my iCloud so i can log in with my updated apple ID.

How do I delete my iCloud account from my iPad 2 when I don't know the password to that account?

Try going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • How do I remove an iCloud account from an iPad?

My aunt set up my grandmother's iPad and used her iTunes/iCloud information.  My grandmother wanted to be able to buy things from the store so I created an account for her with iTunes, but I can't figure out how to remove my aunt's Apple ID from the iPad.
I need to back up her information to the iCloud so she doesn't loose the information and apps before I can reset her iPad, but right now I can only back it up to my aunt's account which would put me right back where I am now.
Thanks for any assistance you can give.

Thank you so much for your fast response! We were worried that deleted my aunt's iCloud account from the iPad would delete it everywhere and she would loose her information.
I don't have an iPad so I was flying blind.

  • How do I erase an icloud account from an ipad?

I received an iPad from my employer that was previously used by an employee who is no longer with the company.  He left the device logged into his icloud account.  Once I realized that I could not do much of anything on the device without contacting him, I reached out to him and asked him to remotely remove the device using the icloud website.  I sent him the following instructions, which he says he followed, but his email address still shows up on Settings -> Icloud page on the ipad and it still asks for his password, which I do not know.  Does it take a few days to take effect?  I've connected the ipad to wifi, turned it off and back on, and tried to get the device to update this feature but it doesn't seem to work.  Any ideas?
Remove an iOS device you no longer have
If you no longer have the iOS device because you gave it away or sold it, you need to remotely erase it before you can remove it.
Sign in to icloud.com/#find with your Apple ID (the one you use with iCloud). If you’re using another iCloud app, click the app’s name at the top of the iCloud.com window, then click Find My iPhone. If you don’t see Find My iPhone on iCloud.com, your account just has access to iCloud web-only features. To gain access to other iCloud features, set up iCloud on your iOS device or Mac.
Click All Devices, then select the device.
Click Erase [device], then enter your Apple ID password. Because the device isn’t lost, don’t enter a phone number or message.Note:   If you’re trying to erase a family member’s device, that person will need to enter his or her Apple ID password on this device.
If the device is offline, the remote erase begins the next time it’s online. You’ll receive an email when the device is erased. If you erase your iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus and you have credit and debit cards in Passbook for Apple Pay, Find My iPhone attempts to remove your cards immediately, even if your iPhone is offline. For more information, see the Apple Support article Using Passbook.
When the device is erased, click Remove from Account.

A few others things to note:  the ipad is running iOS 7.1.1.  The guy never confirmed his email address so everything is greyed out on the icloud page.  And he couldn't remember his password so he had to get a new password (for the old username) before he could log into icloud and erase the device from his icloud device.

  • How can I separate my iCloud account from my sons phone

How can I separate my iCloud account from my sons phone?

Just delete your iCloud account from your sons device. Therefor open "Settings >iCloud", scroll down, and delete your account (don't worry, it will only delete the account from your sons device). If he also uses this account for iTunes and App store purchases and you would like to change that as well, then you have to do the same in "Settings > iTunes & App Stores".

How can we delete the icloud accounts from main website.Iam trying to log in to my account and it says that MAXIMUM NUMBER OF FREE ACCOUNTS ARE ACTIVATED?What can i do guys plz tell me?

You can't delete an account, you can only stop using it.  If you're getting that error message you won't be able to create a new account on your device.  Your only options are to re-use one of the accounts previously created, or create a new account on a different iOS device or Mac (running OS X Lion or higher), if you have one.

How can I delete my icloud account from my iphone 4, since it doesn't sync with my ipad mini?

Go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address (you shouldn't need to verify the old account).  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

If the old ID is your ID, and if your second ID was created by editing the details of this old ID (rather than being an entirely new ID), go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID.
