How do I add a PDF file for download to my iWeb page?

How do I add a PDF file for download to my iWeb page?
I have created one using Apples Pages program.
Thanks!

Hi-
You need to create a text link to the file...
On your page, type a word that you want to be the link... then select the word, and in the inspector pane, click the link tab (the arrow on the far right) and check "enable as hyperlink." Then choose "file" from the dropdown menu and a chooser box will open for you to locate the file on your hard drive.
Choose the file by clicking "open" once it's located. Then the next time you publish, the file will be uploaded and linked to!
Hope this helps... I think I got all the steps in there!

  • How do you prepare a PDF file for 4 signatures & dates?

How do you prepare a PDF file for 4 signatures & dates?

    Hi,
You can achieve this by using text tags. EchoSign Text Tags are specially formatted text that can be placed anywhere within the content of your
document specifying the location, size, type of fields such as signature and initial fields, check boxes, radio buttons and form fields, and advanced optional field processing rules. Text Tags can also be used as names of PDF Form fields.
Text Tags are converted into EchoSign form fields when the document is sent for signature or uploaded to the EchoSign Document Library. EchoSign Text Tags can be placed in any document type such as PDF, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and text files (.txt, .rtf)
Please refer to page 5 ( date) and 10 (signature) of the Creating Adobe Echosign Forms With Text Tags. The document can be found here

  • Can you add a pdf file for clients to click on in idvd?

I need to include a pdf file on a viewing dvd. Can I include it in my dvd so people can click on it and it will open?

If you want your viewers to be able to access the PDF file while watching the DVD on their TV, then one way to do that would be to create a separate iMovie project containing only the PDF file at, say, a 20 second duration. Then drag the iMovie project icon (the one with the star on it) into the edge of your iDVD project main menu. That would create a separate button for viewing the PDF file.

  • How do I compare 2 PDF files for equality?

    Hi,
I want to be able to compare 2 pdf files programmatically in C#.
I have tried using binary compare and I have found that
2 identical files do not match due to meta data I assume.
All I want to do is compare 2 files and match if
the displayed part is the same. The files have text, lines
    and jpg.
If I cant do it in C# is there any library that can?
    Malcolm

The Acrobat SDK includes a PDF compare function but its only available to plugins (written in C/C++).

  • How can I view a pdf file without downloading it? It seems I can't get rid of the download option. Is it possible to do this without downloading the pdf and then viewing it?

    Hi Goin crazy 2,
If you purchased the song twice in error, contact the iTunes Store and they will review your account for a refund:
How to report an issue with your iTunes Store, App Store, Mac App Store, or iBookstore purchase
Find the email receipt for your purchase.
Click Report a Problem under the app that is having the issue.
When prompted, enter the Apple ID and password you used to purchase the item, then click Report a Problem.
Click Report a Problem next to the item you are having an issue with.
From the Choose Problem dropdown menu, choose the appropriate issue.
Follow the onscreen instructions and—if prompted—type a description of the problem into the text field.
Click Submit to have your issue reviewed
I hope this information helps ....
    Have a great day!

  • When i select a pdf file for download in a webpage instead of automatically downloading the file and opening it using adobe acrobat I get a new blank window in the browser and it says done in the bottom left corner

when I select a pdf file within a webpage and click to download instead of getting the "download" window and the file automatically opening after download using adobe reader I get a blank webpage (in the same tab) and in the bottom left corner it says"done". No file is downloaded and if I click "back" I just return to the webpage containing the link.

Aha!  The properties for the plugin file nppdf32.dll for Adobe Reader indicate the file is for Adobe Acrobat.  This misidentification is then used by SeaMonkey as a label in the helper application list.
Adobe Reader 11.0.3.37:  nppdf32.dll has version 11.0.3.37.  This is the version in SeaMonkey's plugins folder.
    Adobe Acrobat 7.0.8.218:  nppdf32.dll has version 7.0.9.50.
As for having both Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat on the same PC, this generally works providing Reader is installed AFTER Acrobat.  Reader is freeware, and I want to keep it current.  Acrobat is purchaseware, and I cannot afford to keep buying  upgrades or newer versions.

  • How do I open a pdf file I downloaded on my Android tablet?

''locking this thread as duplicate, please continue at [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1029054 /questions/1029054]''
I can open most downloads, but I click on open and nothing happens. What do I have to do to open PDF file?

At the present time, iCloud doesn't sync pdfs to your other devices.  Open the iBooks app on your iMac, control-click on the pdf and choose Share>Mail, email it to yourself, then open the email on your iPad, tap and hold on the pdf attachment and choose open in iBooks.  On your MacBook Pro, open the email, save the attachment on your desktop, open the iBooks app and go to File>Add to Library, navigate to the pdf on your desktop and click Add.

  • Word or .pdf file for downloading

Does anyone know how to create a link to a Word file or .pdf
file that the user can save or open online? I thought I knew, but I
    really don't...

Just create a normal link to it - how it opens or saves is
    dependant on the
users configuration - you don't have any say in that matter.
Either leave the documents in their native format, or zip
    them which will
    force them to download first.
    i.e: <p>Download my file <a
    href="mydocument.pdf">here</a></p>
or this: <p>Download my file <a
    href="mydocument.zip">here</a></p>

  • How do I add pictures to files for my backgrounds

I have and IMAC24 with and OS 10.9.2 I don't seem to be able to copy ahnd paste like every where else. I see things like arainge menu of +| - but not on my computer.

You add the folder with your pictures in it to the sidebar in System Preferences "Desktop & Screensaver". Click the 'Desktop' tab, then the + button to add any folders from your hard drive to the list.
You add more pictures by adding them to the folder in Finder, not by adding them in Sys Prefs.

I need to make a pdf document, already made in photoshop, 'page turn' and then add it to my website as an e-brochure. I know I can do this in indesign but indesign will not open pdf files for some inexplicable reason. Any ideas how I can do it without completely starting again?

    Hello waitingone,
please try this (all terms are translated from my German programs to my best knowledge):
    1. Did the creator of the pdf file enable the import options?
    2. See import options: choose an other visibility option for your layer.
    3. Let you show the import options and click into one with a black background and try these out (often a gray is selected).
    4. See trimming: try the different modes there. Often works: "Media".
    5. Is the pdf file (eg from Word) correctly created?
    6. Is the PDF file protected? >>> no import possible.
    7. If that does not help, store the pdf file in Acrobat, repair possible errors, run the PDF Optimizer before placing in InDesign.
    Good luck!

  • How can I quickly view pdf files like I can do with Windows Picture and Fax viewer for jpg files?

How can I quickly view pdf files like I can do with Windows Picture and Fax viewer for jpg files? I need to look at several thousand PDF files. It takes too long to open each one individually. The only thing I could think of is combining them into large groups and then using the Navigation index. But I like the way windows Picture and Fax Viewer does it because you can keep the files separate. Combining PDFs causes loss of individual file names. That would be a problem since I do need to have the individual file names.

Windows Picture and Fax Viewer is a DLL and is started via a rundll32.exe call and can't be set as an application to handle images in Firefox 3 and later versions.
Try to set Windows Picture and Fax Viewer as the default viewer in Windows, then it should be listed automatically in the Mozilla Firefox Browse dialog.

What do you want to do specifically.  They are two different document formats - one is PDF, the other DOC or DOCX.  In what way do you wish to "add" ad PDF to a word document. You can embed a mini version within a document (copy it and paste it from within the x.doc) but that's a pretty hokey looking solution.
Oh, its mostly irrelevant if its office 2004,8 or 11 - they all do this more or less the same way.
