How do I add page headers and footers in 3.0?

Too many changes to digest but some of the most simple features have been reassigned or disappeared - If I can't put footer items such as file path and auto date into my spreadsheet it becomes worthless to me as a business tool.

Wow. How do you "update" an application and LOSE important features?! Ridiculous. Numbers is back to just being a toy, not a serious contender vs Excel. Nice work Apple.
I have long been an advocate of Apple, but there have been so many non-sensical choices taken in their mobile/desktop software lately that I have lost faith that they have a grasp of their users/competitors at all.
I'm very glad I kept my old copy of Numbers 09.

How to remove remove page headers and footers

Hello
I can't seem to remove headers and footers from my sheet in print view. I am trying to print a chart and the header and footer are eating up valuable real estate! When using 'Pages' I can simply turn them off, where is the equivalent setting in 'Numbers'.

Is it really useful to respond to a ridiculous rant ?
We may perfectly define zero margins.
What can't be done is to completely get rid of Headers and Footers as we may do in Pages.
When we enter zero in the Header and Footer fields, we are defining the offset of the item to the top/bottom of the printable area. We don't set the item's height to zero.
A workaround allowing us to get quite zero margins in Pages :
Put the cursor in a header.
Define the font size to 1.
Put the cursor in a footer.
Define the font size to 1.
doesn't apply to Numbers.
If we set the font size to 20, the header height become greater, if we set it to less than 10, the application set the item's height to 10 points.
From my point of view, it's clearly a bug (already reported) but I don't know any application with no bug.
So, if Mr MayBeDay is able to create an application without bugs, he may send a curriculum vitae to Apple which will certainly be glad to sign him.

Adding page headers and footers to Numbers 3.0 document

I have not found any way to add page headers or footers to a Numbers 3.0 spreadsheet document. Searching online help file did not yield solution. Anyone have any ideas?

Page headers and footers, alas, are not supported in Numbers 3.0. According to this support document they will be introduced to Numbers 3 sometime over the next six months.
Meanwhile, I understand you can paste tables into Pages and print from there.

Just downloaded the update to Numbers. Where did the Show Layout with page headers and footers go?

They are somewhere on the cutting room floor at the Apple app factory.

Crystal Reports 2008 Missing Page Headers and Footers when Exporting Excel

After upgrading from Crystal Reports 9 to Crystal Reports 2008 we have noticed that when we export to Excel the document no longer retains the page headers and footers. After doing some reading I see that there is a property called ExportPageHeadersAndFooters that we can tap into. However, I am unable to get this to work for me. Below is my code, do you have any suggestions?

I was able to get it to work but I had to do this.

Hi Jeuker,
In Numbers 3.2, you can do lots of things with Page Headers and Footers in Print Preview. Move them to the (paper) edge - if your printer will handle that .
Then bring up the Fonts window (in Print Preview, Menu > Format > Fonts > Show Fonts) and have a play:
Or leave them blank. With zero position on the (paper) page, they will probably be in the non-printing margins anyway .

Why are you not sure whether you have Mavericks or not?
And what version of Pages are you talking about?
Insert a Section Break and uncheck the copies previous option.
All the Headers and Footers are the same within a Section.

In Pages, How can I get headers and footers to show up on more than the first page of each section?

In Mountain Lion, I considered myself a fairly expert user of Pages. Since "upgrading" to Mavericks, I can't get even basic things to work anymore. My current problem is that the headers and footers are only showing up on the first page of each section. A related annoyance is that if I copy the information in a header or footer, all the associated formatting disappears when I paste it. But the first problem is the one that matters — headers and footers that only show up on one page sort of negate the whole point of headers and footers.

When I print a web page, how do I adjust the printe margins so that the headers and footers don't fall off the page?

I have looked for a way to adjust the page margins for printing, but can't find it. I have found where to adjust what prints in the header and the footer. When I print, the headers and footers are so close to the edge, and sometimes half off the page edge at the top and the bottom, that I can't really read them. This didn't happen in the past. Maybe this has changed since the last update - I'm not sure. Is there a way that I can fix this, so that my headers and footers are readable?

Ftting headers and footers to a pdf page

Hi All, I want to add headers and footers to the pdf pages ,but the problem is the page content spans all accross the page due to which headers will be over writing the content of the pdf page. Is there any way to compress the content of the page so that i can fit in the headers and footers correctly?

I have an HP J4540. The headers and footers print gibberish either in email or a web page. The body of the text is fine. It prints fine in Internet Explorer but not in Firefox.

Welcome to the HP Community , I read through your post about the printing issues you have been having, and I hope to help you! Seeing how the printer will make copies and test print tells us that the printer itself is fine and there is no hardware issues. However, seeing how printing from two different computers will not work, flags a software problem on the computers. Please try out the steps below and get back to me with the results and we will go from there. If you did not install the Full Driver, run the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows to search and install the complete driver and software. This will need to run on both computers individually. Manually restart the print spoolers on the computers:1. Click Start
2. Type "Services" in the search field.
3. Open SERVICES
4. At the bottom, click "Extended View"
5. Search for Print Spooler
6. Right-click it and choose Properties
7. Select as Automatic in the drop down box, close the Window
8. Right click on Print Spooler and choose "Stop", wait until it stops and then right click again and "Start".
