How do I add the read data port to the VI icon?

I am working on an existing driver (i'll call it masterVI). The driver calls a particular subVI (and this one is shown as an icon in the block diagram of the masterVI). I needed to read some more data so I made the changes to this subVI. And this subVI is working fine after all the changes.
Now the problem is the following. I would expect that the icon of the subVI should now show one more output terminal (for the "new" data that I am reading), but this is not happening, i.e. the icon is not updated in the master file. So I am not able to access, in the master file, the "new" data sequences (for which I made modifications).
I have tried various combinations to make it work, with no success! e.g. Tried saving the new subVI by a different name & than import it into the masterVI!
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Regards,
Ashutosh.

Did you add another connector to the pane of your subVI?
This is not something that would happen automatically, but you would have to do make this change manually in your subVI.
1.  Open the front panel of the subVI.
2.  Right click the icon in the upper right corner and click "Show Connector Ppane".
3.  Click an open white block, then click the indicator of the new data you want to send out.  (If you were putting new data into the subVI, then it would be a control you would click on.)
4.  Save the VI.
5.  Open the block diagram of the master VI.  The icon should show the new connector.  If the icon is grayed out, the change on the connector was more substantial.  It will then be necessary to right click the grayed out icon and click "Relink to SubVI".

    I just migrated everything from my G5 and would like to add the applications icon that automatically expands to my dock.
    Thanks

    Open a Finder window and click on the Macintosh HD on the left under Devices. One of the folders showing will be the applications folder; drag it onto the dock to the right of the System Preferences icon (individual apps can go to the left, but folders need to be to the right).
    Hope that helps.

    In prior OS on my iMac, I was able to add the Display icon to the Menu Bar, making it a quick fix to adjust the resolution.  That option no longer appears in the Display section of System Preferences.  I am using multiple displays.  Could that make any difference?  Any suggestions?

    *Firefox 4 versions and later do not run on a PowerPC Mac.
    *Firefox 4 and later require at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac.

  • How can i add the dimensions and data loading into planning apllications?

    Now please let me know how can i add the dimensions and data loading into planning apllication without manuallly?

    you can use tools like ODI or DIM or HAL to load metadata & data into planning applications.
    The data load can be done at the Essbase end using rules file. But metadata changes should flow from planning to essbase through any of above mentioned tools and also there are many other way to achieve the same.

  • HT4522 Sounds fine but how do I add partitions in air port utility

    Sounds fine but how do I add partitions in air port utility

    It is possible to partition the drive, but you have to physically pull the hard drive from the Time Capsule and place it in a separate enclosure for the formatting operation, then reinstall the drive again back in the Time Capsule.
    Unfortunately, in addition to a lot of work, this will void the warranty on the Time Capsule.
    It is possible to create one or more disk images on the Time Capsule using Disk Utility.
    While a disk image is not technically a "partition" in the normal sense, it will allow you to specify and reserve a given amount of space on the drive for the image or images that you create.

  • How do you add the motion path of a tracking point to a separate clone stamp?

    How do you add the motion path of a tracking point to a clone stamp without the clone stamp assuming the same initial/continuous positions of the tracking point?
    Is there a way to keep the clone stamp's initial position and then add the path onto it?
    I am using the clone stamp to remove unwanted duct tape that was used to keep lights on a wall.

    I have spent two days trying to find a solution to this exact same problem. I have seen some overly complex solutions that probably work but trying to figure out the explanations is like trying to understand someone describe drag coefficients of rotary wing aircraft. While I am sure they work, they are way above my comprehension. I wanted an intuitive and straight forward solution for something that shouldn't require some arcane technique to fix.
    What I did:
    1) I used the Clone Stamp tool to paint over the spot on the wall I wanted to remove.
    2) picked a more easily discernible point of reference for Tracking. In my case, I used a poster on the wall.
    3) As per the instructions here, https://www.video2brain.com/en/lessons/removing-an-object-with-clone-stamp, I pasted the Attach Point data from the Tracker into Clone -> Transform - > Position
    However, that didn't work for me as the object I was painting was not the object I was tracking. The solution from the video was simply moving my cloned spot to the tracked object instead of leaving it where I wanted it. So...
    4)  I then manually adjusted the Anchor Point of the Clone back to the original spot I wanted to cover.
    I played footage and the cloned region successfully moved with the spot I was covering.
    This is what I was able to figure out. I'm not an advanced user. I only use After Effects every couple of months when I need to fix minor things in footage, so I've only learned to use what techniques I need for the job at hand. No doubt, experienced users may shake their heads at my simplistic fix. I'm sure my technique would be wholly inadequate for situations far more complex than fixing spots on a gray wall, which is why my eyeballs cross when reading suggestions that seem way more involved than one would expect for something as seemingly minor as this. It's just a spot! It should be super easy to remove, right? Well, that's what I was looking for and that's what I came up with. I hope it helps.

  • Messenger Express: How do I add the Directory Server to the address book search tool?

    In Messenger Express (ME) how do I add the Directory Server (DS) to the address book
    search tool?
    <P>
    Edit the globals.pl file. Look for a line similar to: <BR>
    @dirservers = ('MyCompany::phonebook.foo.com::o=FooCorp.,c=US','Four11 Directory::ldap.four11.com::');
    <P>
    Add an entry to the list. The list is comma delimited and each entry is a
    string. The string contains three fields, delimited by a double colon (::). The
    first field is the name you want to appear in the User Interface (UI). The second is
    the hostname of the DS and the third is the Distinguished Name (DN) to use when searching.

    You can't add a new contact to specific group and there is no app for this. 3rd party apps don't have access to private iPhone APIs with security concerns being a primary reason, which such a function would require.
