How do I assign a particular email account of mine to a particular Address-Book contact?

I have a few email accounts. I am also on several 'Email Lists'.
when I am reading an email from one of the "Lists" and I want to reply, then I'd like Thunderbird to use the correct email account to match the contact in the address book which is associated with the Email List.
So how do I assign a particular email account of mine to a particular Address-Book contact?

Thunderbird may do that. Somewhere.
However, as I test this theory, in my own "Local Folders" area, in all cases, when I hit 'Reply' or reply-all, Thunderbird uses the 'Default' email account of the program Thunderbird, for want of a better description.
Recall that each incoming Email is filtered as to some criteria then placed in appropriate "Local Folders" named folder.

Run windows in safe mode (with network) and change your password on your email account.

Do two dot mac email accounts have to share the same address book?

I have a dot mac account with 2 email accounts. Do we both have to share the same address book? It's pretty much a hassle for both of us to have our personal contacts all mixed together. Thank you!

I guess we actually don't have a good reason. There are 4 family members using the computer, it's usually on all the time, and I guess we thought it would be easier to be able to just jump on and off without switching. But if that is the only way to have separate address books we may have to set it up that way. So do you think thats pretty much what we have to do?

So this issue has plagued me for some time and I have finally just been annoyed enough by it to ask.
I have a contact for my mom which used to be her first name and last name which I later changed to just "Mom" in the first name box after getting an iPhone. At the same time I started syncing with MobileMe and have been having this problem for about 2 years.
Every time I send her an email it changes her name from just Mom to Mom and then adds her last name back into the last name field.
Has anyone else experienced this and figured out a fix?

It's very simple why this happens: you're using Address Book incorrectly by not using somebody's first and last name. Mail and Address Book communicate, so every time you send an email to someone, whatever their name is setup as in their email account is what gets overwritten into Address Book when you don't have the same thing.

First off, you need to determine with Apple how you can extract or move to your Mac, the calendar events and Address Book contacts. I don't know how Apple provides for that.
After you've done so, you can sync to the BlackBerry using the BlackBerry Desktop Software.
Set the Configuration up in the Desktop Software to sync to your Mac's data.

How can I Delete a MobileMe Email Account and Kill Duplicate Messages?

When I select "All Inboxes" on my iPhone 4s, I see duplicates of each and every message I receive. Furthermore, the duplicate can't be deleted and I get an error message informing so! I suspect this phenomenon is occurring because I have both an iCloud and a MobileMe account. I want to cancel the MobileMe one.
Here's the deal:
My iPhone 4s lists three email accounts, including a "MobileMe" one that I want to delete because I believe it is delivering duplicate messages. However, I can't seem to figure out how to delete the MobileMe's email account or, for that matter, MobileMe itself. Apple support screens refer to cancelling a MobileMe account but are not clear on how to actually do it.
1. On the iPhone 4s, I click on the "Mail" icon at the bottom of the screen
2. On a screen under the heading "Mailboxes," under "Inboxes," there are two that read exactly the same (I think one is iCloud and the other MobileMe).
3. On the same screen, under "Accounts," I see an iCloud account logo, a Bellsouth/Yahoo account logo and a MobileMe account logo.
4. I want to keep the iCloud and Bellsouth/Yahoo accounts but delete the MobileMe one but I can find no way on this screen or any other iPhone 4s screen to do so. Nor do I see any path to do so in iTunes. And the MobileMe account doesn't even show up in the Apple email app on the laptop to which I sync my iPhone.
If I go to www.me.com and log into my MobileMe account, there is no apparent way to disable, delete or otherwise cancel it. Why?
I am convinced that the simultaneous presence of both iCloud and MobileMe accounts is responsible for the double email messages when I select to view "All inboxes" on my iPhone. (A workaround is to simply select just one of the accounts, say, the iCloud one. Then I see only one copy of each message. That's OK but surely there is some way to kill off this redundant MobileMe account AND the duplicate messages, yes???

First, thanks for the reply. And, I believe you are exactly right that the names are the same. However, when I go (on my iPhone) as you suggest to "Settings," "Mail, Contacts, Calendars," only two accounts are showing; my Mac account and my Bellsouth one. I'm trying to set up Mail 2.1.3. in 10.4.11. I have 2 email accounts. I can enter one just fine but it won't take another. When I try, it says that I "already have a POP account". How do I set up 2 email accounts? I see where I can enter the 2 email addresses by separating them by a comma. But the 2 addresses have different passwords and the password box takes only one password at a time. Any ideas?

It's hard for me to tell by what has been written so far, but it may be referring to what you are entering for the account description. That is, in Mail Prefs > Accounts > Acct Info, for each account it has several entries: Acct Type (that you can't change), Description, email address, full name. If the first account's description is POP, then make the second account's description POP2. I use terms like, "home", "work", and "school" for my accounts' descriptions.
If this is not what is going on, please write down every step you do, and every entry you make, as you try to configure your second email account and post it back here. Naturally, do NOT disclose your actual email address(es) or mail account login name or its password to us here.

You need OSX 10.7.2 or higher in order to access icloud. The mobile me account is now defunct (it closed down more than a year ago).

Then that is all you can do.
You currently can not delete an iCloud account.

Delete the affected email account from your device.
Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Choose the affected email account, then tap Delete Account.
Add your account again.
