How do I bypass the password which is no longer recognized after I upgraded to iOS 5?

I upgraded my iPad to the new iOS 5 and was able to upgrade my apps. Then it locked the screen on me and when I entered the password I had previously set, it is saying it is wrong. I have been locked out over and over. I have also tried to reset by holding the start/lock button and the home screen button until the apple icon appears......that doesn't wipe clean so I can reload. I have also tried to sync with my computer again and nothing will work unless I can unlock the ipad with my password which it won;t recognize!!!!! Frustrated!

You need to connect the device in recovery mode first to bypass the passcode using the instructions in this Apple support document.

  • How can I bypass the password with createinstance ?

    Hi,
When i use the command :
    $ORACLE_HOME/bin/createinstance -instanceName MEDIWEB_OPE -groupName default_group
I am asked for the administrator password.
I have been following the documentation at http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/ias/oc4j-faq-mgt-10131-133750.pdf
but I cannot fix the issue.
    I tried this command :
    $ORACLE_HOME/bin/createinstance -instanceName MEDIWEB_OPE -groupName default_group -defaultAdminPass
There is no error and the instance is created
    But then i do :
    $ORACLE_HOME/opmn/bin/opmnctl startproc process-type=MEDIWEB_OPE
But I got the following error :

How can I avoid prompting password ? In 9g it was easy to do it but now on 10g it seems tricky.

How do I retrieve the microphone icon for voice text in iOS 8? I downloaded the new iOS 8 last night and I do not have the ability to voice text. Someone please help.

I did not do anything to mine except update. You can try doing a reset on the phone. It will not affect data. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. Make sure you also have iMessage activated and data turned on. Remember that iMessage requires both users to have an active internet connection.

    Hi,
If you are getting the message to Contact Support there is no other option.
When Mountain Lion first came out and you got this message it did appear to get sorted for free.
    Start here
    http://www.apple.com/uk/support/itunes/
Click the Contact Support at the bottom of the menu
In the next page use the right hand Pane and the iTunes Store link.
after that generally follow "Manage Account" type links.
The process is "trying to answer questions"  but you will eventually be offered an email Link.
Use that and explain the issue.
Generally the issue tends to be something specific about your account that only Apple Support can change.

Delete all apps that were purchased with the former ID and renown load or purchase them with your ID.

How can I change the password on my stolen iphon5 which shares data with my ipad2

If you had Find My iPhone activated on your iPhone, you can remotely wipe it, which you can do through iCloud on your computer.  If you did not have Find My iPhone active on your phone you're out of luck.
You should immediately change all passwords for your Apple ID, email, any apps where you had a password, or any where you have credit cards tied to shopping.

    Hello steveod2
The main thing to do is to sign out all services on your iPhone, like iCloud, iTunes & App Store, iMessage and FaceTIme. Check out the article below for more information.
iOS 7: If you're asked for the password to your previous Apple ID when signing out of iCloud

  • How do I change the password on my IPhone?

How do I change the password on my IPhone?  I am using a card that belonged to my former daughter in law and I cannot get the original password.  I need it to change the Restrictions setting because all of a sudden my ITunes apps won't download when I sync my phone....just photos and music.  Apps list is "grayed" out.

No, not on the home screen.  I clicked on Settings + Restrictions (which is set at "Yes" and I need to change it to "No") and the number pad came up and wanted the password.  My son says its the password that was put on originally when the phone was new (by his ex-wife who owned the phone at the time.)  So now I cannot retrieve the original password from her and cannot change the Restrictions setting and therefore, cannot fix my ITunes/Apps problem.  So aggravating!  But thanks for your response!

If you did not get an OS X install-restore DVD with the computer you may need
to buy one from somewhere, and you may be lucky to get a retail OS X 10.5.x
version. The original grey-label install set of software and OS X it shipped with
likely would be an older system than Leopard 10.5. Last versions of G4 Mac, &
G5, shipped with a Tiger 10.4 system; so did early Intel-based Mac. Grey discs
which accompanied other computer build models generally do not interchange.
The last OS X version a PowerPC architecture can use, if supported, is 10.5.8.
A PPC processor at 867MHz & faster should be able to run OS X 10.5 Leopard.
{With the correct disc installer, you can use it to change a password and other
    things including re-install, and perform disk utility functions, etc.}
There is a chance you may be able to get a white-label Replacement 10.4 DVD
or Replacement 10.5 DVD from AppleCare or the online Apple Store (800myapple)
from a Mac OS X system specialist; these have been available yet hard to get
as not all persons involved with them seem to know if they still exist until someone
is asking. These aren't retail stock, are special discs for computers who could use
a system later than original old discs; these are complete install discs not for one
specific series of Mac. Generally they'd work in supported PowerPC G4/G5; but
do not replace specialized original install DVD, such as an early Intel mac requires.
You'd need to have a serial number of the computer, and a method of payment
when seeking some replacement system media from Applecare or Apple sales
and these discs are not available in a retail store. The original Retail discs are
labeled differently and shipped in a retail box with a big X on the front. Other
sources for retail 10.4 Tiger or 10.5 Leopard may be online via amazon sellers
or computer resellers who handle repaired Macs. Avoid mystery grey label ones
that were intended to be sold and kept with their original computer kits.
    Good luck!

  • After I updated my iPhone with IOS 6.1 my old Apple ID keeps popping up on my iPhone for me to type in the password that I no longer know. On the Apple site the Manage my Apple ID says my old Apple ID could not be found. How do I get this to stop?

I just updated my iPhone with the newest update IOS 6.1. My old Apple ID keeps popping up on my iPhone for me to type in the password that I no longer know. All the passwords I type in do not work. I no longer have access to this email which is my old Apple ID. After installing the newest software update my old Apple ID came up to finish configuring. Since I no longer have access to this Apple ID and email account and after trying some passwords I skipped the step. It then said FaceTime, iCloud (which I do not use), and more may not work. I clicked that it was OK since I could not remember the password to my old Apple ID. I then went to my settings to be sure my newer email was my Apple ID by typing in my current Apple ID and password.  Also, I went to Manage my Apple ID online and my old Apple ID could not be found. Is it OK I skipped that step in the IOS 6.1 configuration? How do I get my old Apple ID to stop popping up?

    Blue
It sounds like you restored from an old back-up.  Did you back-up just before your software update?  It will use your last one and if your last back-up was a ywear old then it will use that one.
In general, if you are getting these messages on your iPhones select logout (when you get that Apple Id request) and then log back in with your newer ID.
    Sorry for your losses.
    Cheers

  • How do I find the password for my iMac on version 10.7.4?

How do I find the password for my iMac on version 10.7.4?

DO NOT FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE ABOVE LINKS.
Boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the Mac OS X Utilities screen appears, select Utilities ▹ Terminal from the menu bar.
In the Terminal window, enter “resetpassword” and press return. A Reset Password window opens.
Select your boot volume if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Follow the prompts to reset the password. It's safest to choose a password that includes only the characters a-z, A-Z, and 0-9.
Select  ▹ Restart from the menu bar.
You should now be able to log in with the new password, but you won't be able to unlock the Keychain. If you've forgotten the Keychain password (which is ordinarily the same as your login password), there's no way to recover it. You’ll need to reset your keychain in the preferences of the Keychain Access application.

  • How do i find the passwords generated by my macbook

I have allowed my macbook to generate several passwords, how do I find what the passwords are?

    Hi Ralph,
I mean the passwords which OSX generates when you register on a site e.g PayPal.  The password is stored in the keychain and accessible from all my devices.  I found the answer in Safari Preferences.
    Thanks
    Paul
