How do I change default setting?

When anyone selects 'Save As', and we're not saving a new file, but writing over an old file (update, for example), we will always see two choices CANCEL or REPLACE OLD FILE. In snowleopard, the CANCEL is the default. Can someone tell me how to change the default over to REPLACE? Thanks all.

Maybe it is specific to the application you are using.
What is the application that has the label 'Replace Old File'?
I tried a few apps and whether from 'Save; or 'Save as', just as baltwo posted, am only offered, Cancel or Save, which is the default.

The only way that I know currently know of to remove old or incorrect email addresses from the Mail app is to reset the iPad back to factory defaults, which I assume that you don't want to to. You could try leaving feedback for Apple and maybe one day we'll day be able to edit them : http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html#ipad

Sorry for the goofed answer. Most people are looking to set the margins and I looked over that you were interested in the tabs.
To save tabs in fixed positions that will appear with every new document, you must modify the default template. You can't open the template from the desktop. If you do, it will open as a standard document. You must open it from the Open dialogue box from within Word. With Word in the foreground, press Command+O and navigate to:
/Users/your_account/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Office/User Templates/
Open the file Normal.dotm
Set your tabs and save the file. Close the template. All new documents will now open with those preset tabs.

Tap on the id in Settings > Store and log out of it and then login with your id. Any content already on the iPad will be tied to the previous owner's id and it can't be copied or transferred to your id - so it's probably best to do restore the iPad back to factory defaults and start as from new with it : Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Contents And Settings

You could modify the necessary values in the LDAP directory that the identity server stis on top of. ie:
(using an ldap browser) go to the following location in the tree:
dc=xxx, ou=services, ou=iPlanetAMAuthLDAPService, ou=1.0, ou=OrganizationConfig, ou=default
There should be a "sunkeyvalue" attribute there with the following value:
iplanet-am-auth-ldap-base-dn=o=xxx,dc=xxx
change it to iplanet-am-auth-ldap-base-dn=dc=xxx
Then goto
dc=xxx, ou=services, ou=iPlanetAMAuthService, ou=1.0, ou=OrganizationConfig, ou=default
There should be a "sunkeyvalue" attribute there with the following value:
iplanet-am-auth-user-container=o=xxx,dc=xxx
change it to iplanet-am-auth-user-container=dc=xxx
Try to login using LDAP authentication (ie goto to the url "your webserver"/amserver/UI/Login?module=LDAP)
If that doesn't work, then you will probably have to edit the XML template for these services. This can be done as follows:
Goto dc=xxx, ou=services, ou=iPlanetAMAuthLDAPService, ou=1.0
There should be an attribute there called sunserviceschema, whose value is an xml document that specifies the service schema.
You will need to change the following element:

wjosten is spot on. If you really want iCloud, then you will need to acquire a new or second hand MBP that can run Lion.

and recently started to use JDK 1.2 instead of JDK 1.1.7.
So, I set [start]-[weblogic]-[Choose1.2JRE] in environment.
and then, if I execute T3Server, the message of
"javai.dll class path cannot be found " is displayed and the server is not
loaded.
However, javai.dll was in java1.1.X\bin.
I can assume that a setting is to java1.1.X.

You don't. Email comes in either by push or when you invoke the email app. Ther is no password except when you first set up the account. If your iPad is not being used as your personal device and you need to shield emails from other users, then don't use the email app. Instead, use web mail if available from your provider.

You don't give a lot of information. Do you each have a separate device or Mac (or user account on the same Mac)? Do you each have your own separate iCloud accounts? If this is the case your wife can sign into your account in System Preferences (or Settings)>Mail Contacts and Calendars and check the data types she wants to sync. They will appear alongside her own iCloud data, though she will not be able to use Photo Stream with this account.
