How do I configure Access Manager?

I don't have idea how to configure Access Manager, I installed ans configure Directory and Web Server and working well, but I need to configure access Manager, there is a script called " amsamplesilent " it has some variables that i dont understand very well, how do I do to configure?
Plz help me.

So you used "configure later" option while installing Access Manager - correct?
amsamplesilent is not a script - it's an input file for the command "amconfig"
copy this file and adjust it to your settings (which variables haven't you understood?)
run amconfig -f <your_sample_install_file>

  • How to installl sun access manager in windows xp

    Hi,
    Can any one guide me how to install sun access managment in windows xp. I have downloaded access managment 7.x version i didnt find any installation shield nor exe file to install. More over i didnt find any document regarding installation for sun access managnement.
    Can any one please suggest me the good document for installationa and configuring the sun access managment and realted pdf's.
    regards
    ravi

    I found the directory with java.exe on my XP client. After updating my Path and then typing 'java -versions' I still see a 'java not found message'. No problem though - a README.TXT says that I have JRE 1.1.7B.
    One final question - a co-worker who also has XP just starting seeing a pop-up window saying 'Runtime' error when running a Java applet. His java.exe is in a path that includes the sub-directory 'JRE' On my XP client, java.exe is in a path which includes a 'JRE11' sub-directory. We therefore seem to have different versions of the JRE. Since I don't see the Runtime error when running the same applet, should my co-worker try upgrading his JRE?
    Thank you.

  • Can not configure Access Manager

    Hi all,
    1. I istalled Sun java messaging server 6.
    2. I edit amsamplesilent to prepare amsamplesilent.my:
    # cd /opt/SUNWam/bin
    #mv amsamplesilent amsamplesilent.my
    3. I configure Access Manager:
    #./amconfig -s amsamplesilent.my but get the following error:

    ldap_simple_bind: Can't connect to the LDAP server - No route to host
    i would consider this a fatal error.
    The system cannot locate where your Directory Server is. "no route to host" means that it's trying to get to the host, but your networking isn't set up correctly, and it doesn't find any route to get to the specified host.

  • I don't Configuring Access Manager in SSL Mode

    i only install am7.1 and ws7.0 in windows2003 pack 1.
    then, i read "Sun Java SystemAccess Manager 7.1 Postinstallation Guide" .
    it said that "Login to theWeb Server console.The default port is 8888." but i can't find the default port .
    i think my web server console's default port is 8989.

    Hi,
    As a part of my requirement, I need to Configure Access Manager in SSL Mode. For that, I followed all the steps(Change http to https in web server instance in Access Manager, Install Certificate, Modify AMConfig.properties) mentioned in the PostInstallation Guide of Sun Access Manager to configure the SSL using Selfsigned certificate. so, after doing all these steps, as soon as the hit the Access Manager URL httsp://machinename:portno/amserver/UI/Login, it shows "page cannot be displayed" error. I have checked the web server with SSL enabled in it and its running fine.
    On one of forum post, I read that you need to set this property to true "com.sun.am.jssproxy.trustAllServerCerts" if you are not installing the ROOTCA certificate however this is not listed in the AM documentation.
    Any help on this would be highly appreciated. Let me know if am missing any steps.

  • Configuring Access Manager as Service Provider

    Hi All,
    What documentation explains how to configure SSO with Access Manager 7 as Sefrvice Provider using redirect-artifact (or else) binding according to SAML v.2? I have SiteMinder 6.0 as IdP ready to go.
    Thanks

    Bernhard,
    We have upgraded our Web PA to version 2.1-09. One of your previous replies stated the com.iplanet.am.naming.ignoreNamingservice property was not availalbe in the PA agent properties but only in the Java SKD. Indeed we do not see such a key in the new Web PA AMAgent.properties.
    Can you please explain how to configure the AMAgent.properties and/or the Access Manager server (or properties) so that subsequent calls to the services (returned by the call to the naming service) get directed thru the load balancer? Below are the setting in our AMAgent and AMConfig properties files
    AMAgent.properties
    com.sun.am.namingURL = https://lb-mydomain.com:443/amserver/namingservice
    com.sun.am.policy.am.loginURL = https://lb-mydomain.com:443/amserver/UI/Login
    AMConfig.properties
    com.iplanet.am.server.protocol=https
    com.iplanet.am.server.host=am.mydomain.com
    com.iplanet.am.server.port=443
    com.iplanet.am.console.protocol=https
    com.iplanet.am.console.host=lb-mydomain.com
    com.iplanet.am.console.port=443
    com.iplanet.am.profile.host=lb-mydomain.com
    com.iplanet.am.profile.port=443
    com.iplanet.am.naming.url=https://lb-mydomain.com:443/amserver/namingservice
    com.iplanet.am.notification.url=https://lb-mydomain.com:443/amserver/notifica
    tionservice
    If we set com.iplanet.am.server.host=lb-mydomain.com we get an exception when trying to start the AM web container. I don't know if this may be partof our issue or not. Please comment.
    Thanks,
    Craig

  • How To Install Verizon Access Manager If It Fails Installation

    If you're unable to install the Verizon Access Manager on your PC the program will work just fine without installing it!
    I performed the following on two different Windows XP SP3 machines and the Verizon Access Managers work fine on both.
    1. Download the version 7.6.0.0 Verizon Access Manager folders and files in zip format from:
    http://www.4shared.com/file/b7Bz3vYw/Verizon_Wireless.html
    2. Extract the zip file.
    3. Copy the extracted folder and it's contents to your Program Files (i.e. c:/program files/Verizon)
    4. Then go to: C:\Program Files\Verizon Wireless\VZAccess Manager and double-click on VZAccess Manager.exe
        The program should open.
         You can create a shortcut for VZAccess Manager.exe by right-clicking on it and put it anywhere for easy convenience.
    Cheers!

    Uninstalled Creative Cloud.
    Downloaded it again - 4th time.
    Deleted a AAMDetect file from the Library/Internet Plug-ins
    Downloaded and installed Adobe App Manager and an icon for it is on my Desktop
    Installed Creative Cloud.
    OK.
    Now how do get my Photoshop CS6 back before I download Photoshop CC?
    CS6 is not listed in the available Apps in the CC Desktop.
    Support wait time right now is 2 hours by phone.
    After sitting on Chat yesterday only to see the people "waiting ahead of me" go from 17 to 18, I gave up.
    Please advise.
    Thanks again.

  • How to Integrate Oracle Access Manager 11g with Siebel Call Center 7.8

    I need to change the DB authentication to SSO for Siebel Call Center 7.8. I just found a document about integrationg OAM 10g with Siebel 7 (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28196_01/idmanage.1014/b25347/siebel.htm#Siebel). However, because it's mandatory to use OAM 11g, I don't know whether this doc is suitable for Siebel 7.8. In addition, is it the right way to configure Siebel SSO? I know, in this way, I need to install WebGate. Please give me some expertise. Thanks.

    This should work as long as your web server and operating system support 11g. There may be some differences in how to set up OAM and the WebGate in 11g versus 10g (that is not my area of expertise), but from the Siebel side the integration is the same. You would pass in the user's Siebel ID (pulled from the LDAP directory) as an HTTP header. Then you just need to tweak a few of the parameters in Siebel:
    For the Security Adapter Profile (LDAPSecAdpt most likely) you are using, set:
    SingleSignOn = True
    TrustToken = HELLO (or whatever value you choose)
    In eapps.cfg or eapps_sia.cfg in the virtual directory section for the specific application object manager (e.g. [sales_enu]) set:
    UserSpec = SIEBEL_USER (or whatever HTTP header name you set up in OAM)
    UserSpecSource = HEADER
    SingleSignOn = TRUE
    TrustToken = HELLO (or whatever value you selected for the Security Adapter profile TrustToken parameter)
    ProtectedVirtualDirectory = /sales_enu
    The protected virtual directory will normally be the same as the virtual directory (in this example /sales_enu) unless you are using customer facing applications with anonymous browsing capabilities (for example a catalog that goes to a shopping cart at some point in the process).
    Also in the [SWE] section of the eapps.cfg file the IntegratedDomainAuth parameter should be set to False.
    Hope this information is helpful.
    Best regards,
    Stevan

  • How Can I configure network manager correctly?

    Well, in debian, when I started the gnome session, immediately I was asked for a password to connect my default wireless connection. It is the correct way I want.
    In arch, the process is: First, the network manager connects to localhost (I don't know why...), and I have to select manually my wireless net to connect to it, and put my password.
    Is there anyway to make this process as it was in debian? So, when I start gnome session, be asked for password and connect immediately.

    I have 41 songs in a particular PLAYLIST and it plays the first one OK but when it advances to the next one it "runs" but there is no Audio.

    There's got to be a way to play the COMPLETE playlist w/o my "input"

  • User Management - How to submit Additional Access Request on behalf of employee

    User Management - how can we configure "Access Requests" so that Managers can submit Additional Access Requests, or Initial Access Requests on behalf of employee?
    Have looked at "Manage Proxies" but this seems to allow access to everything - not ideal
    Please assist with knowledge and/or experience
    Many Thanks
    Me

    Additional Access Request Registration Process is complete
    Giving access to User Management to users is not an option.
    What I would like is the scenario below - is this achievable?
    When employee goes to iProcurement > Preferences > Access Requests > Request Access | they can submit an access request on behalf of themselves.
    Would like an option where a manager, navigates to same UI as above, has option to choose a subordinate, and request additional access on their behalf
    The table UMX_REG_REQUESTS has columns REQUESTED_FOR_USER_ID & REQUESTED_BY_USER_ID - so it seems they don't have to be same person (manager can submit request on behalf of an employee)
    Can this be achieved through UI for "Access Requests"?

  • How to configure soa manager in ecc 6.0

    Dear Experts ,
    now i faced one problem in my server
    when i execute soamanager, my web page is giving error message ( displayed but it shows timed_out error )
    i have doubt in my comfiguration so please let me how can i configure soa manager
    Regards

    Hi
    Are you getting the "Timed Out Error" as soon as you open SOAMANAGER or when you try to Test your WSDL?
    Follow these steps-
    (I) Checking Domain name of WSDL
    a) Open SOAMANAGER and navigate to "Business Administration" tab.
    b) Click on "Web Service Administration" link
    c) In "Search Pattern" search for your Webservice and click on "GO".
    d) Select the line and click "Apply Selection" button
    e) The details of your service definition is displayed. Click on "Open WSDL document for selected binding" link.
    f) Copy the URL. Make a special note of your domain Name. Eg: "http://xxxxx.com:"
    (II) Checking J2EE setting in SOAMANAGER
    a) Go back to your SOAMANAGER home page by clicking "Back" link.
    b) Select "Technical Configuration" Tab and click on "System Global Settings".
    c ) Select "Access Information J2EE server" Tab and note down your J2EE host settings.
    Note: If there are no J2EE host settings, then you probably get them from your BASIS team. Once you get the details, save the host settings.
    (III) Clearing the WSDL Port Type error
    a) Follow steps (a) thru (d) in Part I and click on 3rd link- "Open Web Service navigator for selected binding".

    I have made proper entries in hosts file and resolve.conf file.
    But duing the first phase of installation only , i failed in configuring access manager 7.1

    Kindly let us know how to proceed further as we are waiiting some reply from your team.As I already advised in your previous posting (http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5359095), you are best off re-installing solaris from scratch and installing Communication Suite 6 update 1 if you cannot get Access Manager 7.1 configured.

  • Configuring Net Manager

    I have installed Oracle 10.2 and Warehouse Builder 10g release 1.
    I have 2 directory home:
    D:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1 for Oracle 10.2
    D:\OraHome_1 for Warehouse Builder.
    How con I configure net manager for use a MS Access database as a source module in Warehouse Builder?
    Thanks for any help.

    I don't think you can add an Access database using the Net Manager. I'm not too clear on what you try to achieve, but I suspect that you might want to see how to connect to a non-Oracle database from Oracle in the heterogeneous manual (http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14232/toc.htm).
