How do I copy & paste from an email to another web site?

Hello, not quite sure what it is you want to do.
In Mail you can copy something by highlighting it & CMD+c, or Mail>Edit>Copy, but whether you can paste it to a website, not sure, but you could say paste in in a Reply here...

  • I cant copy/paste from an article to my web site, get a Mozilla Rich Text Editing demo page will not work.HELP

    Tried to copy/paste from an article to my web site and got a "cannot copy /paste " warning and was directed to a security perferences site that said that Mozilla Rich Text Editing demo page will not work.
    Tried to find my Firefox profile directory using the start menu and was directed to hit enter to go to web. Feel like i am getting run around.

    Let's start with something very basic, and that is, you do not need to use the paste button on most websites. The button just reads what is on your clipboard and sticks it into the form. You can do that yourself using Ctrl+v or right-click>Paste.
    For your security, I suggest using those standard Windows keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl+x cut, Ctrl+c copy, Ctrl+v paste) or the context menu.
    Occasionally you will find a paste button that runs a clean-up script or otherwise does something useful. That is where the (admittedly a bit complicated) instructions come in handy.
    To open your active profile folder, you can use:
    Help > Troubleshooting Information > "Show Folder" button
    Which help article are you using for the modifications?
    Finally, please be cautious in opening up your clipboard to sites. You may have stuff you copied from other pages or other programs that you do not want to share with most sites.

  • How can i Copy paste from e-mail to Notebook or textbook

    How can i Copy pasta from some Content of e-mail to the notepad or textbook or word?

    hold your finger down in the body of the mail - the part you want to copy. a blue box will comeup and offer to 'select/select all' or something like that. choose the appropriate choice. If you only want part of it that bubble will have two handles that allow you to drag out the selection box.
    then hold your finger down again and another bubble will come up offering to cut/copy the words. choose copy
    then navigate to your notes app (not sure about the textbook, depends on whether or not it support it) and hold your finger down in an empty text area. you'll get another blue bubble offering to paste it. choose that and the words should appear. then save as appropriate.

    how can i copy apps from one computer to another?

    You don't mention which operating system you have so it's difficult to provide an answer since the mac and Windows stores the files differently.
    The other thing you can do is just re-download the apps from the iTunes Store. Just login to the iTunes Store on the other computer using the same Apple ID. On the right-hand side of the iTunes Store page you will see a 'Purchased' link. Clicking on that will take you to a page that will list your past purchases which you can re-download to the new computer.

  • How do I copy text from one layer to  another?

    I have Googled this but not a single answer seems to work.
    I am using Photoshop CS4 on OS X 10.6.7.
    OK, so  I  have a layer that  has some text in it.  I would like to  be able to  simply copy that  text  from one layer  to  another, but this seems to  be impossible as the Edit Paste menu item is grayed out after I have copied it in to the clipboard.  I can paste it into  the SAME layer, but not into another layer.
    This is how I am trying to  do  this.
    In the layer  with the text, click on the "T" icon to  the left.
    Click on the text, in the layer that I  want to  copy.
    I select the text (either  by  clicking and dragging or pressing Command-A).
    Next I press Command-C.
    Then I  click on the layer In the Layer Panel) where I want to  paste the text.
    Pressing Command-V is impossible because the Edit-Paste menu option is grayed out!!!!
    WHY??????
    Perhaps more importantly, HOW do I copy text  from one layer to  another?

    First thing you can simply right click on the Text Layer and choose Duplicate Layer.  But that will create a new Text Lay
    er identical to the one you have.
    To answer your question in your case....  Create the Text Layer.   Make a New Layer.  Or have the layer you want to paste into visible.
    Highlight the text layer in the Layer Palette and Ctrl+Click (Win) Cmd+Click(Mac) so that you see marching ants walking around your text.
    Edit>Copy.
    Then highlight your Layer you want to paste into and hit Edit>Paste or Cmd+V / Ctrl+V.

  • How do you copy automation from one track to another?

    How do you copy automation from one track to another? Occassionally I mistakenly blow away a track's automation. I open up an earlier version of the song to try to get the automation. It doesn't seem that you can copy and paste the data. After some struggle, I find a way. Is there an easy way?

    1. Copy the track containing the desired automation to another track. (create a track below it to keep things organized)
    2. Double click on the region and delete the notes.
    3. Now copy the region to the desired track.
    P.S. Of course when Logic asks if you want to copy the automation data you say yes)

  • How do i copy music from one ipod to another with 1 cord?

    how do i copy music from one ipod to another with 1 cord?

    You cannot copy content directly from one iPod to another. If the music was purchased from the iTunes Store, you have the following options:
    - sync the iPod to your computer, transfer the content to iTunes, and then connect the other iPod and sync from iTunes
    - use iCloud (which requires iOS 5).
    - download the music from from the iTunes Store to the second iPod. See:

  • How can I copy songs from one iPod to another?

    I received a new iPod Classic (last generation) and I'm trying to transfer my songs from my old iPod Nano (also last generation).
    My iTunes library is also split up between my two parent's houses and I only have half the songs on my Nano in this computer's library.
    Is there a way to copy only the songs on the +iPod Nano+ (not the iTunes library) and drop them onto the new iPod?

    *Is there a way to copy only the songs on the iPod Nano (not the iTunes library) and drop them onto the new iPod?*
    You can't copy directly from one iPod to another, you have to copy the songs back to iTunes and update the new iPod from there. If you have any iTunes Music Store purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. You'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod to a computer
    The transfer of content from other sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. You can read reviews of some of them here: Wired News - Rescue Your Stranded Tunes
    TuneJack Windows Only
    iPod2PC Windows Only

    SharePod Windows Only
    iRepo Mac and Windows
    iPodRip Mac & Windows
    YamiPod Mac and Windows
    Music Rescue Mac & Windows
    iPodCopy Mac and Windows
    There is also a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows or a Mac. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available at this link: Two-way Street: Moving Music Off the iPod

  • How to initiate copy/paste from menu in projector?

    I have a projector that uses a MenuMember to create a
    standard menu across the top i.e.:
    FILE EDIT HELP
    I have several text, (not field), but text members that are
    editable where the user inputs text information. Pretty basic and
    simple. If they use the keyboard commands for Copy, Paste, Select
    All & Cut those commands work fine in the text field and behave
    as you would normally expect.
    My question is, under my EDIT menu, I want to have the normal
    CUT,COPY,PASTE,SELECT ALL selections that you would expect to find.
    Right now I have no behaviors attached to them in my menuMember so
    they don't do anything if you go to EDIT -> PASTE.
    I have been looking for a handler to attach to the menuMember
    that would perform those functions. For example my menuMember text
    would look like this:
    menu: File
    Save/S | SaveHandler
    Quit | quit
    menu: Edit
    Copy/C | CopyHandler
    Paste/V | PasteHandler
    Select All/A | SelectAllHandler
    Cut/X | CutHandler
    So far I haven't been able to figure out any handler that
    would perform those functions upon the text field that has the
    focus. Oh sure, the manual keyboard equivalents WILL work, but most
    people also expect to see those choices in the edit menu as well
    and expect them to behave the same way.
    Any ideas on how to accomplish this?
    Thanks,
    Dan

    Hi,
    There's a 'publish' settings (or maybe a movie setting)
    called "editShortcutsenabled' - if true, command-c (etc) will work.
    There might be some tricky way of evoking these functions with
    Lingo (not sure if DMX2004 has some new lingo), but you can do it
    manually using Valentin's free clipboard xtra (
    http://staff.dasdeck.de/valentin/xtras/clipboard/)
    . For example, try these functions
    on SelectAll()
    whichSprite = the keyBoardFocusSprite
    if whichSprite > 0 then
    whichMember = sprite(whichSprite).member
    if voidP(whichMember) then exit
    mType = whichMember.type
    case (mType) of
    #field, #text:
    whichMember.selection = [0, whichMember.text.length]
    otherwise
    put "Dont know how to 'select all' in the case of a"
    && mType
    end case
    end if
    end
    on CopySelection ()
    whichSprite = the keyBoardFocusSprite
    if whichSprite > 0 then
    whichMember = sprite(whichSprite).member
    if voidP(whichMember) then exit
    mType = whichMember.type
    case (mType) of
    #field, #text:
    s = whichMember.selection
    txt = whichMember.text.char[s[1]..s[2]]
    clipSetData("TEXT", txt)
    otherwise
    put "Dont know how to copy from a" && mType
    end case
    end if
    end
    on CutSelection ()
    whichSprite = the keyBoardFocusSprite
    if whichSprite > 0 then
    whichMember = sprite(whichSprite).member
    if voidP(whichMember) then exit
    mType = whichMember.type
    case (mType) of
    #field, #text:
    s = whichMember.selection
    txt = whichMember.text.char[s[1]..s[2]]
    clipSetData("TEXT", txt)
    oldtext = whichMember.text
    if s[1] > 0 then
    newtext = oldtext.char[1..s[1]]

  • How do I copy layers from one image to another?

    I am editing figures for a journal and I need arrows for multiple images.  Is there a standard arrow?  I can only see free hand.  If I use a free hand arrow I then want to copy it to the other images for consistency.  How do I copy or share layers between images?

    There are many arrows in the shape tool, or you can set the line tool to have an arrowhead in the tool options. You can copy/paste layers from one image to another, or drag a layer from the layers panel into the main image window of another image and then use the move tool to position it. You can also drag into the thumbnail in the photo bin, but you'll still need to bring the image up to adjust the positioning.

  • How can you copy properities from one object to another?

    If you create a number of boxes and then decided to change the color of all of them (or add a stroke, shadow, etc), is there a way to copy your style from one to the others?  In Photoshop you can copy layer styles, so you don't have to re-do everything for every layer you want the styles to be on.  How is this done in InDesign (CS3)?
    Thanks.

    From the object styles panel. Click on the object, define style (new object style), click on the next object, apply that new style. Even quicker than copy/paste. Then, if you make a change to the style, all objects are updated. Just want to do one?  Alter the object itself (and create a new style while you're at it ).
