You mean when actively on the line interacting with an automated system on the other end? You don't. Or, rather, it's up to the system on the other end. When you tap a number, the tones are sent over the line immediately. You can't "undo" it.

Got it. During the call, instead of tapping the keypad, tap Add Call - then tap the keypad button at the bottom, enter the number, then tap the 'add contact' icon/button (bottom left of this keypad, but not the other keypad), then you can tap Create New Contact or Add to Existing Contact. After that, you can save the contact then cancel out (so you don't actually call the number). You can do all of that while the call is ongoing.
Alternatively, click the home button, then tap the Notes app icon and enter the number into a note.
The advantage of the first method is that you can later dial the number just by tapping it, whereas if it's in a note, you can't directly dial the number from there.

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

Error while transporting objects:Internal error during pvc call: Parameter

Dear all,
We are facing the following error while transporting the individual configuration objects from our PI development system.
Export failed: Internal error during pvc call: Parameter versionSpecifier or version has the invalid value null .
However, it works fine when the complete configuration scenario is transported.
We tried to transport the objects with different user id's, even then the issue still exists.
Any inputs to resolve this will be highly helpful.

Answer is inside this oss [Note 1554387 - Error during export from Integration Directory|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1554387]. In this oss note, solution is to apply a patch (just a patch, not a SP). as it's a litle sap bug...
Note: your issue is also explained with picture in this one "1550549 - PI transport: Internal error during pvc call" (sorry for this one I cannot insert a link)

How can I silence email alerts at night and still hear phone calls come in?

Hello,
This might be a ridiculous question (either because it is impossible or because it is obvious and easy) but one I really want to know.
I no longer have a landline in my house. With 3 college kids, I don't want to miss any phone calls that might come from them while I am sleeping. However, I also don't want to listen to emails coming into my 2 email accounts all night either.
Is there a way to silence the emails and leave the ringtone on?

This is for the Motorola Droid
Settings --- Sound----Volume-----there should be four (4) slide bars, set the all but the top one to the far left.
Then only your phone calls should come thru.... it works for me.

How do I resolve iOS 5.0.1 getting disconnected on phone calls?

Since upgrading to iOS 5.0.1, I get messages about incompatible charger connected when no charger is connected and the black screen with the white apple will popup during a phone call resulting in a lost connection.

I believe that my battery life is better vs iOS 5.0.
5.0.1 definately fixed the sound stuttering issue.

Then I tried doing everything again but it was impossible to start from scratch since the system kept using the wrong address and there was no place I could write a new correct. Chat did answer my question.

If you make a mistake with your email address when signing up for a free EchoSign account, then you need to create a new account using your right address. Though I don't think that is what you were trying to do?

How do I correctly time while loops using SCPI and VISA/Ethernet communication to send DC current Values to a Power supply?

I'm rather new to using labview and I having an
issue with a test Data Aquisition lab I'm trying to setup using a
Keithley 6221 AC/DC current source and a basic PCI M-series NI-DAQmx.
First of all, I'm looking to update the current value on a power
supply at a rate of atleast 10Hz and I'm using SCPI commands and VISA
communication through ethernet to do so. Attached below is the VI I
have written.
The issue I'm having is this:
My VI will
loop through the values fine in software, or so it seems. I am unable
to get the Power supply to update sequentially if I don't set my loop
delay to anything greater than 130ms. If I try to run the loop faster
it starts skipping values instead of counting 1,2,3,4,5,1,2,...etc. it
goes 1,2,4,5,2,4,1,2 on the display of the power supply and my DAQ unit
also skips these values so I know that the number just isn't getting
read to the Power supply in time. I was wondering if this was due to
my sloppy programming or if it is a hardware issue, my computer or the
method of communication to the power supply? Is this due to the fact
that I'm using ethernet and VISA communication? Is there a faster way
to communicate or is GPIB faster? Any input at all would be extremely
helpful.
On a side note: Right now I'm using an pre-determined
array of values that I can update on the fly but in the future this
with be put into a closed-loop control system. The value for the
power supply output will be determined by the loop and sent that way.

Also, one of the string constants is NOT set to '\' Codes Display. Here is an alternative method of calculating the index. I removed the DAQ and VISA stuff since I could not run it.

UC320: how to set (correct) time and date, upload own AA messages, get caller ID, telnet?

Just trying out the UC320 I got borrowed from Cisco AT for testing with firmware 2.1.2 (1) localized for Austria.
The device is connected to the cable modem of my ISP (Kabelsignal) utilizing two FXO ports, getting an IP address from my DHCP being connected to a WS-C2960G-24TD (LAN 1@UC320 connected to Gi0/18@C2960G port macro Cisco Switch enabled).
Now I would like to try/see the following features:
- a correct time and date: huh? hwo/where???
No option to set this right??? No NTP option??? Am I just blind or too stupid to find that option/s?
- upload own messages for the AA: ok, there are german messages but someone might have a little bit personalized ones - maybe telling callers the company name before asking them to dial the extension if they know it. Making custom messages is not the problem - but how to upload and in which sound/data format?
- caller ID: my ISP told me that he transfers the caller ID correctly to analoge end devices if caller ID is available and not suppressed. All I can see when a call comes in is which FXO Port is being used by that call. So callback entries on the SPA phone is senseless. Any advise?
- CLI: You can telnet the device - but which credentials to use to successfully logon? The pre-assigned credentials form Cisco AT are not accepted for logon.
BTW @Cisco guys: I am also voting for support for the older SPAs (e.g. 942)

Time/Date & NTP -- The UC320W is preconfigured with Cisco's Small Business NTP server. The preferred method for correct time you will need the UC320W WAN to be connected with Internet access. If there is no WAN connectivity there is a feature in the 2.1.x firmware where you can set the time on a SPA phone GUI and it will then update the system time. Alternatively, if you have a LAN side NTP server that is on the same subnet as your Data VLAN subnet, you can use the NTP.pmf file found here: https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-16301

Is this BAPI Called in another task? Otherwise, you should be able to debug it like any other Function module in foreground.

Note that both participants need a Mac, iChat, and a reasonably fast reliable internet connection for the best results.
If the person you're trying to contact has an iOS device (iPhone, iPod Touch with camera, iPad 2) and it is available in your country, use FaceTime. FaceTime for OS X is available from the Mac App Store at a modest cost. Both caller and receiver must have WiFi connections and Apple ID's (free registration) for FaceTime.
It is also possible to use Skype for free video chat with a wider variety of computing hardware and operating system support (Windows, Mac, and Linux), but of course, you must all download and install Skype.
