How do I correlate multiple Pages documents?

I am working on a senior project, trying to merge multiple documents into one with a table of contents. How do I merge?

You can also:
Menu > View > Page Thumbnails > click on the thumbnails selecting all if you want > Copy > click in thumbnails of 2nd document > Paste

  • How can I combine multiple Pages documents into one using iPad?

    Hello all,
I have created a magazine with my students using pages. The problem is that each article is a separate documents. Now I have to put them all together. How can I do that, using iPad? Is it even possible?
    Thank you

copy paste is the only way to do it on a pad - document by document.

  • How do I combine multiple pages documents without adding a blank page?

So I've tried the method of copying one thumbnail and pasting it into the other Pages thumbnail viewer, and that works fine except when I do this it adds a blank page below the first page. This blank page looks to be tied in with the 1st page so I cannot delete the blank page without deleting the 1st page too. Any help is greatly appreciated

You have something in the text that is popping out of the page, exactly what and how to manage it is predicated on what you have done, which we can't see.
Menu > View > Show Invisibles
and see if you can spot and eliminate the character/s.
Also clean up the text and text wrapping on the page before where it is popping. Often users bang away at returns, spaces and tabs to position things and they all get pushed around by the Text Wrap on objects and produce unexpected effects.
Make objects inline wherever possible in Word Processing templates, to avoid this situation.

HOW DO I SCAN MULTIPLE PAGES OF A DOCUMENT AND KEEP THAT DOCUMENT AS ONE

    Hello @MYBOU2 ,
    Welcome to the HP forum.
What you are asking should not be too hard. The key factor right now is: what is your operating system?
The process is different on a Mac compared to a Windows computer.
This link explains how to do what you want with windows 7.

I am making a multiple page document and need some pages to be landscape and others to be portrait.  How can I do this?

In pages you can only have one orientation of the Page. You have to rotate the content on the pages that you want horizontal. Save the document in Pages format so you'll have a original version to work on. Then Export to or Print to PDF and open the document in Preview. Here you can rotate the pages to horizontal viewing.

  • How to create multiple pdf Files out of multiple pages documents??

I wrote multiple pages documents and stored them in a directory. That is nice, but now I want to transfer them all into pdf files.
Is there a way to do this or do I have to open them one by one an select "Print" and so on??

Pages 5 has virtually no AppleScript support so it would be difficult to even make an Automator workflow to do what you want.
So yes you will have to make a pdf of each one. Be warned that Pages 5 stuffs up links after the first pages of pdfs.
Apple has removed almost 100 features from Pages 5 and added many bugs.

Pages '09 should still be in your Applications/iWork folder if you had it previously.
Archive/trash Pages 5, after Exporting your files to Pages '09, and rate/review it in the App Store, then get back to work.

  • How can I scan multiple pages to one file with MG 7120

My printer does not have ADF. How can I scan multiple pages to one file on my MG 7120?

    Hi albabynyr,
There is a program that comes with the printer called the IJ Scan Utility that can assist you with scanning multiple pages into a single file.  To scan using the IJ Scan Utility, please follow these steps:
    1. Start IJ Scan Utility by going to your Start menu, then selecting All Programs, then Canon Utilities, then  IJ Scan Utility (folder), then IJ Scan Utility (program).
    2. In the Canon IJ Scan Utility window that opens, click SETTINGS.... in the bottom right of the window. The Settings dialog box appears.
    3. Click the DOCUMENT SCAN option on the left pane of the window.
    4. In the right pane of the window, locate the SELECT SOURCE field and select the DOCUMENT option.
    5. Set the color mode, document size, and scanning resolution as required in the rest of the fields shown in the window. Click DOCUMENT SCAN ORIENTATION SETTINGS... to specify the orientation of the documents to be scanned.
    6. In the SAVE SETTINGS section of the window, you will select the save format and location of the document you are about to scan.
a.) In the FILE NAME field, specify the name you would like to give the file. By default the filename will begin with IMG; you can remove IMG and change it to whatever you would like to name the file.
b.) In the DATA FORMAT field, use the drop-down arrow to select the PDF (Multiple Pages) option.
c.) In the SAVE IN field, please navigate to the area where you would like the file to be saved once it is scanned in. By default, the file will be saved in the DOCUMENTS folder.
    7. Once all settings have been selected, click the OK button at the bottom of the SETTINGS (DOCUMENT SCAN) window. The IJ Scan Utility main screen appears.
    8. Click the DOCUMENT button. Scanning starts. After a page has scanned, the screen to continue or end scanning appears. If you have more pages to scan, place the next page on the platen and click Scan.  Do this each time a page has completed scanning.  After the last page has been scanned, click Exit. Scanned images are saved in previously selected folder location specified in the SETTINGS... window. Click the CANCEL button to cancel scanning if needed during scanning.
    Hope this helps!

  • How do I eliminate multiple pages when compiling as PDF?

I'm new at this, working with a one page .ifd. I've added several "No print" fields to be used for data mapping
to my database. Then use Presentment Targets and compile as .pdf. When I open the form in Acrobat Pro 8
the doc repeats my one page 7 to 10 times, converting it to a multiple page document. How do I correct this?
This a form that is being prepared for e-signatures with mapped data in an core data processing system.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks Chris,
I've attached the pdf and the ifd.
This should be only a one page Power of Attorney form.
The "No Print" fields will be used to do Optical Mapping within out core
    DP System.
The form will be e-signed using signature pads and then saved to optical.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

  • How can I scan multiple pages from the ADF to one pdf file?

I wirelessly scan double-sided multiple-page documents, typically 37 pages, using an ADF (Automatic Document Feeder) from my HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911g to my MacBook Pro. The scanner works fine except it tries to save the files as 37 separate files and either it or the MacBook runs out of memory as it turns it into a massive file, 300mb or so. How can I get it to just scan it as one file? I have the quality setting at 300dpi.

    Hello again webbo51,
Thanks for the information I requested.
I am going to add a screen shot of what you should be seeing when scanning with the HP software.
You must have PDF selected to be able to scan a multiple page document into one folder.
Once you select PDF, you will see the option to Save as one file.
Please feel free to write me back if you have any other questions.
    Thanks again for your time.

  • Multiple page document in AICS5 .

How do I create a multiple page document in AICS5?

There is no such thing, there are just artboards which are essentially just tiles of a large document that provide a demarcation of virtual "pages" but don't limit content - artwork can always spread across all artboards. Anyway, I strongly suggest you read the online help. There is no point in creating a hundred forum threads to answer such basic questions.

  • Resize a multiple page document in Indesign CC

How do you resize a multiple page document in Indesign CC so the content stays centered.
If I do it from Document Setup it resizes from the top left.
This use to work from Indesign CS6.
    Thanks,

Try using the Page tool and the Liquid Layout Re-center rule.
You'll need to either select all the document pages or the master pages you want to resize. When those pages are selected, enter your new page size and choose Re-center from the Liquid Layout menu.
It's worked for me on pages I've tested.
