How do I create a new note in Notes 7.1.1

I am unable to figure out how to create a new note in the iOS 7.1.1 Notes app on my iPad Mini. There is no "New" button like there is on my phone. I have multiple accounts activated, including iCloud, but I cannot find any way in Notes to create a new note in any account.
I can go to my iPhone, create a new note there in iCloud, and see it on the Mini, I just can't figure out how to create a new one on the iPad...
I've gotta be missing something obvious, but I cannot figure this out. Does anybody know how to create a new note in the Notes app running iOS 7.1 on an iPad mini?

That is an "edit" button. Since there's ALWAYS one of my existing notes "selected", clicking on that icon simply edits the selected item. I can't figure out a way to "unselect" one of my notes (so that none of them are selected), all I can do is "edit".
There is an actual "New" button in that top bar on the iPHone version of the app, but in the iPad mini, I can't find a "new" button (or a way to unselect all my notes so that edit button would act as a new button).

If you are accessing an IMAP account, you can create additional server stored mailboxes with the email client used on your computer for accessing the account, or via webmail access for the account using a browser, and the server stored mailboxes created will be available automatically when accessing the account with the iPhone.
If a POP account, this is not possible by any means.

You don't have to remove your project. Just make a new project. They'll both be stored in the iMovie Ptojects folder and can both be accessed from the project library in iMovie. Perhaps you mean something else and I'm not understanding the question.

If you want to dualboot you have to use boot camp i think. I think you have already a full disc and cannot make another partition I'm I right?

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

i know its not a problem whit my carrier o data plan or sharing preferences on the ipone because when i use it un my laptop it works perfectly through
the usb and even works on the Imac through wifi and bluethood tethering but NOT through usb!!.
the problem is that trying to make it work i deleted the "profile" usb iphone on the network prefereces panel. Now i only have 3 options: ethernet / wifi / bluetooth
but not the usb iPhone i used to have.
And when i try to add a new one i dont get a USB option.

I have what I hope is a fairly straight forward question that I hope you can answer if you write code with a Mac or are at least familiar with the process on a Mac? The person I have been working with to create my photography website uses a PC. Here is the problem. I am trying to use my Mac in order to create frames so that I can add 5 more images to a portfolio that presently has 15 images. The code is in an index.fla file. If I want to create a new frame in the index.fla, let's say LOAD CODE 381 and want to use the same text that is already present in LOAD CODE 380 but with a few edits, I have no trouble going to the Action-Movie Clip and finding LOAD CODE 380 in the left hand column. The problem is, on a Mac, how do I create frame LOAD CODE 381 and then how do I copy and paste the text from LOAD CODE 380 into LOAD CODE 381? It looks like on a PC one can open LOAD CODE 380 in the Action-Movie Clip, highlight the text then right click on the red rectangular box in the timeline. By doing so (on a PC) one sees a drop down menu that gives the option to "copy key frame". What is the equivalent of the "copy key frame" on a Mac? I can see where on the Mac you can go to Edit >copy. Is this the equivalent of "copy key frame" on a PC? If so, once I "copy" the text how do I create the new LOAD CODE 381 so that I can paste the text into the new frame?

How Do I Create a New Template for iBooks Author?

Apple's provided templates are way too narrow for some of the ideas I want to implement. I do not see any real method for creating a template from scratch. I stripped one of the available templates down to nothing and rebuilt some of the pages and then selected Save As Template... but iBooks Author keeps the original template as the content instead of allowing me to use my own created Chapter, Section, and Pages with the Add Pages.. Button.
How to you create a new template from scratch? I think it is absurd if you can only create a new template from one of the 6 predefined templates.

Each year for the past 5 years I make a family calendar and send copies to all he family members around the globe. I hate that I have to recreate all the birthdays and special occasions from scratch, and re-drag all the photos onto these dates, in the lower half of the page of each month on the new calendar. How can I create a new calendar for the current year and port all of these photos/comments into the new calendar from last years calendar, to save having to redo all this work!! I am not talking about the upper half page of the photos only...I am referring to the calendar page of each month.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Open iWeb so you see your original site in the left hand pane. Use the File->New Site menu option to create a new site. Give it the name you want.
Now select a page in your original site and type Command+D. That will duplicate the page. Drag the duplicate page down to the new site and rename it as needed. Do that for the other pages you need in the original site.

We have 4 members of our family on one Apple ID, and sharing one Cloud acct. How do I create 3 new ID's? Our cloud acct is full, and we need our own space! :-)

One person can keep their devices on the current account. The others can create new accounts with new IDs, then migrate a copy of the data to the new account. To do this, first create the new Apple IDs here: https://appleid.apple.com/account. This will require a verifiable non-Apple email account for each. Then, to migrate to a new account, start by saving any photo stream photos that you want to keep on the device to the camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow), then tapping Save to Camera Roll (or Save Image if it's running iOS 8). If you are syncing notes with iCloud that you want to keep, you'll need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself so you can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in the new account. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (or Sign Out if running iOS 8), choose Keep on My iDevice and provide the password to turn off Find My iDevice when prompted. (Deleting the account only deletes it from this device, not from iCloud; devices keeping the current account will not be effected by this.) Then sign back in with one of the new Apple IDs to create the new account and choose Merge to upload the data to the new account.
Once everyone is on separate accounts, you can each go to iCloud.com and delete the other people's data from your account.
