How do I download Safari for Mountain Lion?

How do I download Safari for Mountain Lion? It's not in the App Store, it is nowhere on the Apple website . . . OK, so I guess it is supposed to be part of Mountain Lion, but I am running Mountain Lion and whatever version of Safari I ended up with would not even run at all . . .  so I trashed it (or at least what part of it I was allowed to trash) and though reinstalling it would be a good idea . . . but I can't find one to reinstall. The latest version I can find is for Leopard, and of course that won't run.
Not to mention that since getting Mt Lion, iPhoto won't run . . . it produces an error message saying I need to check with the developer to make sure it runs with this version of OS X! So I wonder who the developer of iPhoto is, who produces software that is incompatible with Mt Lion???
And even in submitting this there is no option to tag it for any OS later than 10.7.4!!

Since Safari is crashing, post a crash report...   reinstalling the OS X rarely helps a browser crash issue.
If Safari has just crashed, press the Report button on the CrashReporter dialog box to view the crash  information.
Copy/paste the entire contents of the Crash Reporter window into your reply. If the crash report dialog does not appear or the crash is hard to reproduce, crash logs can be retrieved from the ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter> folder.
Please include the "binary images" section...

I attempted to download the Java enabler for Mountain Lion (version 10.8.2) and it had absolutely no effect. How should I proceed?
    Thank you,

Open Java Preferences.app in the Utilities folder. It will tell you what version you have, allow you to download it if not present, and allow you to enable it.

  • Download button for Mountain Lion

Successfully downloaded and installed Mountain Lion from the App Store this afternoon. Under Purchased items in the store it is showing Mountain lion with a live black download button. Apparently the App Store has not recognized the downloading and installation of same. Not a big deal but I'm concerned whether the App Store will still offer me updates of the OS in the future. Is there a way to get the App Store to recognize my installation of Mountain Lion?

Should the App Store Purchase section be showing it as installed
Not necessarily. The Download button is available if you want to re dowload Lion to use that download to create a Mountain Lion install disc.
And, if you want to download Mountain Lion on another qualifying Mac, you can do so using that same button at the App Store using the same Apple ID for free.
See: Association of Associated Devices is subject to the following terms:  here >  iTUNES STORE - TERMS AND CONDITIONS
As long as you see v10.8 in "About This Mac", you're good to go.
    You're welcome.

  • How can I reinstall Safari for Lion after I mistakenly installed Safari for Mountain Lion?

    Hi,
via Macupdate I saw the new version 6.02 and did not thought about it. So I installed it only to view that this version  would run only on a Mountain Lion system.
My 2007-MacBook is not capable to run 10.8.
So I tried to replace the new version with a Safari (6.0.1) from a TimeMachine Backup. I also tried to apply again the Mac OS X Combo Updater (10.7.5), but the installer says that it is not possibel to install it (again).
The thing is that Safrai still keeps crashing. Now I don't know what to do.
    Any help is appreciated

5.1.8 is only currently available as part of the recent
    Security Update 2013-001 (Snow Leopard)
download the latest Flash from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
and before installing, check HD/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/ and the same folder (if it exists) in your Home/Library/ for anything named Flash... moving them to the trash.
you may also have a Flash Player icon in System Preferences - the Advanced tab has an Updates section, with a 'check now' button, which should show what you have & if it needs updating.
edit - as Baltwo said... which wasn't showing previously

  • HT4854 Don't see download link for Mountain Lion on 2nd machine

When I open my app store on a 2nd iMac after installing ML on the 1st (with the same iTunes account), I don't see ML in my 'Purchases' list.  The link for ML shows the price, I'm hesitant to click through in case I'm charged again.  Any thoughts?

then the mountain lion download is ready , opens the installer ...close them and then make a copy of the osx-installer.app ( in /Applications ) on an external drive or similar ...then re-execute the installer.app...so you do not download the installer twice
it take some time to appear in purchases (Mountain Lion )...if the download not appear then rebuild the appstore cache
in Finder the Menu Go to  ----> Go to Folder  ----> /Users/username/Library/Caches  .... there is the folder com.apple.appstore delete this folder , this should be rebuild the cache if you next time start the appstore
an other solution is the terminal ( Applications/Utilities)
         open the terminal
         cd /Users/username/Library/Caches
         rm -dR com.apple.appstore

  • How do I download Safari for my Windows 8 pc?

I am trying to download Safari to my pc.  Having a bit of trouble.  Can anyone tell me how to do this?

If you haven't already, I'd suggest looking into Firefox. It's more secure than Internet Explorer and has a vast range of extensions which can customize how it operates and maintains security. At the same time, Mozilla is moving in the same direction as everyone else (at least IMHO) of dumbing down the interface. Fortunately, Mozilla also offers a less rapidly changing version of Firefox, the ESR version, which gets all the security updates of newer versions but maintains its architecture a lot longer.

  • Downloading speed for mountain lion

i'm trying to download mountain lion since yesterday, and the app store page simply says 'downloading'. the speeds can't be that slow in delhi, india! any help anybody?

Yeah, that's pretty much what I have (1.5 MBps down and up). The connection isn't consistent though (it drops and reconnects on an inconsistent basis). I guess the problem I'm having is getting the download to even initiate, which has, to my knowledge, only happened once (this morning). I go back to school on Wednesday where I have a 10 MBps down and up connection. Trying to get this done as soon as possible with school starting up again next week to try and make sure everything is up and running smoothly.

  • HT4239 I inadvertently trashed safari for OS X 10.6.8; how do I download safari

I inadvertently trashed safari for OS X 10.6.8; how do I download safari for my Imac OS X 10.6.8  ?

There's a complete Safari within  - Security Update 2013-001 (Snow Leopard)
I wonder if (re) applying that would do it, or Ralph & Eric's Safari 5.1.7 link first, if the update fails to replace a missing Safari.

  • Reinstalling Safari in Mountain Lion

I can't find how to reinstall Safari for Mountain Lion. The App Store is confusing as all get-out and I can't find any download link on the Safari page, just a bunch of blurbs telling me how great it is. Apparently the version I have has developed dementia and I would like to reinstall it. Can someone give me a clue about how to do this? Thanks. :-)

It's best to describe the problem, rather than your conclusion as to how it should be solved. Reinstalling is almost certainly not the solution.

  • How do I know if have Mountain Lion Installed on my Mac

Do i have it if not how do i install it? And how do i find game center? Ive checked on my applications folder but it isn't there…thanks.

    1. No.
    2. You either buy a download code for Mountain Lion from the online Apple Store or get Yosemite from the Mac App Store.
    3. Game Center isn’t part of 10.7.5.
