How do I download to save info?

I am sending my broken unit (under warrenty) in for replacement. They said to back up files. How do I do this?
Thanks, HM

Are the songs in your iTunes library on the computer? If so, that's your back up.
If not (and why not?), you'll need to put them there from your iPod.
Use one of the many 3rd party programs that copy music from the iPod to the computer.
One of the most recommended is Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music from iPod back to the computer. However, it does not transfer playcounts/ratings etc.
Another free program is Pod Player.
SharePod is also freeware.
However, you said the iPod is broken, so you may not be able to retrieve the songs from it.

How do I download and saves html files off my website to store and save using Dreamweaver CS3?
I need to save all files from web and store onto a drive to reupload to a new domain name.  I use Dreamweaver CS3.

First define your Local Site folder in Dreamweaver.  DW will use this folder to store your site files.
Go to Manage Sites > New or Edit site.  See screenshots.
Servers:  Enter your remote server's log-in details.  When complete, hit TEST to see if the connection is working.  If all is well, hit SAVE.
From the Files Panel (F8), click on Remote Server to show the files that are currently there.  Click the green Down Arrow to GET files from remote server to your local site folder.

  • How do I download and save my Free Press e-Edition?

My e-Edition of the Detroit Free Press opens automatically once I'm logged in.  I want to be able to download and save it, but the way it opens doesn't give me those options.  Therefore, if I'm not in an area with WiFi, I can't read the paper.  I want to be able to download and save it sol, when I'm at my friend's house (he's blind), I can read the paper to him.  thanks.

    Late note:
It may work with earlier versions of Firefox, or it may be updated at some point, but it's not working with the current version of Firefox as I post this.

  • How do I download and save a pdf file on iPad2

I just got and love my iPad2 and am learning a lot.  What I can't do is download a pdf file that is an attachment to my gmails.  It won't open the attachment nor when I click on it will it download.  I have installed both the iBook app and pdf-notes free also.  I have a number of large cross stitch charts which I have purchased in pdf format.  Several people I know use the iPad instead of printing all the pages ( can be 20+ or much more), can easily enlarge portions of the chart and with pdf-notes can highlight sections that have been stitched.  My Comcast email will open the pdf attachment using the xfinity app, but there is nothing that tells me to save it in either iBook or pdf.  I don't know what I am doing wrong.  If I have to do something to the settings, I can't figure out or find out what to do.  Its not a critical problem, but one I would like to solve.
    Thanks

Just figured it out while I was typing more detail for you.  If I go to gmail through Safari, not using the mail app (which is what I have been doing) I then get the open in iBooks or open in pdf-notes options when I  open the pdf attachment.  There isn't a little box in the corner of the PDF that has a "send to" icon with either email program.  I don't know why it doesn't work with the email apps, but I've bookmarked gmail in Safari so I can get there.
Thank you for your help and your quick response.  I really appreciate it.

  • How can I download full call info from old bills?

Title says it all really. I forgot to download the call detail from my March bill and now I can't find how to do it. All I can do is download the PDF which I can't put into a spreadsheet.

Sad to say i have had the same problem, worse still I can not even find out previous quarter billing.
I have two bills missing for 2009, and the only way i can retrieve them is by paying a silly price of £4 for each bill and V.A.T.....
I would advice people to stick with paper billing! at least they can have billing in black and white and be able to keep track on B.T's 3 monthly statements........................

How can i download or save to phone images from a email?
how do i do it on an attached image and one that is just in the email message itself?

    Not possible.
The iPhone does not support saving email attachments outside of the received message.
If you want a photo attached to a received message available on the iPhone for viewing outside of the received message, and you are accessing the same account with an email client on your computer (or you can do the same via webmail access using a browser), save the photo outside of the received message on your computer, and then transfer the photo along with other photos transferred from your computer to your iPhone via the iTunes sync process.

  • Download and save files or Office files!

How can I download and save an EXE file or Office files i.e. DOC, XLS or PPT files to iPhone 5 and then transfer them to Computer/Laptop?

It is possible that your anti-virus software is corrupting the downloaded files or otherwise interfering with downloading files by Firefox.<br />
Try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.

  • How to find backed up iPhone info

Ok so i had to get a new iphone today. The last one had problems. I also turned in my computer today. Lucky me all my stuff was on my computer and I don't get it back for a little while. So, my mac is backed up using time machine. That said, how do i download my iPhone info from my external to my new iPhone?

Other includes data such as iPhone settings, contacts, calendar events, Safari bookmarks/cache/cookies, email and email attachments, SMS/MMS/iMessages, notes, app data, Safari cache, cookies and bookmarks, stored passwords, search index, home screen organization, wi-fi network data, etc.  It should normally be about 1GB in size.  If yous is significantly larger, backing up your phone and restoring it usually fixes things.  You can follow this guide: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1414.

*Ask Toolbar Plugin Stub for 32-bit Windows
Unfortunately, it is becoming more and more common for these kinds of "extras" (toolbars, security scanners, etc.) to be added to your browser/system/desktop when adding or updating other software, some from very well-know software vendors. You must carefully read information before downloading any "free" software and be very alert during the install process for any opportunity to opt-out of "extras" being installed.
    '''<u>If you have the Ask Toolbar</u>'''<br />
    * First try to disable or uninstall the Ask Toolbar in Firefox via "Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions". See: [[Uninstalling add-ons]]<br />
*In some cases, you may need to uninstall the Ask Toolbar using Windows Control Panel .

To reset the preference related to Ask search from the URL/location bar via about:config, specifically the keyword.URL preference -<br />
*Open a new tab or window.
*Type '''''about:config''''' in the URL/address bar and press the Enter key

  • Can you use Easynews to download movies etc to IMac and how and where do you save the files?

Can you useEasynews to download movies etc to IMac and how and where do you save the files?

From your Apple menu at the left end of the menubar, select "About this Mac." You get a window similar to this:
    1) The Mac OS version is just under the big "MAC OS X" line. Post what that says.
    2) We can start to figure out what iMac you have if you post what that the "Processor" line says.
We need to find out because Apple's poor labling choices for this forum, intended for iMacs made before 2006, causes people with newer and much more capable Macs to post here by mistake.
Without some info from you, it's much like your calling an auto mechanic and asking if you can use a certain part without telling him the make, model, or year of your car. Quess what his first question will be? Works the same here.
