How do i edit aol e-mails while in firefox?

nothing comes up when i'm in aol e-mail that will allow me to edit e-mails received before forwarding same. Suggestions? Thanks

Thanks for the answer, but the external POP accounts I had in my MobileMe are working in my iCloud! I receive all the e-mails that are directed to those POP accounts, in my iCloud e-mail, since I migrated from Mobileme to iCloud. So, iCloud accepts external accounts, but i doesn't allow us to edit new configurations or to send e-mails using Pop Accounts through it. Very weird. Does anybody have a solution?

How can I edit a Keynote presentation while it's playing?

For the life of me, I can't figure out how to edit a Keynote presentation while it's playing. That MUST be easily accomplished, but I can't find the method to do it.
Any clues?

Keynote uses a single set file to define a presentation, so changing a Keynote presentation while it is running would be like editing a movie while it is playing -- it's simply not set up to both display a running show on one monitor while allowing the file to be tinkered with on another. It would be nice if Keynote allowed the option to freeze the audience display on a slide image when the show was aborted, for just these purposes, but it currently doesn't have this capability.
As a workaround, if you know ahead of time where a single edit point will be, you could set up your displays so that the desktop of the audience display shows an image of the slide you want to pause on. That way, when you temporarily exit the slideshow to do your edits on your monitor, the audience would simply continue to see the same slide. Since one can access Dashboard widgets while Keynote is running, you could presumably even set up a system that allows for multiple break points by creating a widget that sits on the presenter desktop that changes the audience desktop to several different slide images. This would not, however, allow for arbitrary edit points, nor would allow the slideshow to continue moving through slides while the edit is underway.
If the presentation is completely linear, you could also possibly set it up so that the first part of the presentation is actually a Quicktime file of the Keynote presentation, running in a fullscreen QT Player, and only at the end do you switch to a live version of Keynote. This would allow you to edit the final bit of the presentation in Keynote while the presentation runs (of course, the QT presentation can be made to work just like Keynote in advancing on click).

Based on some web searches and poking around, I think this URL should work to start a new message on AOL webmail. Can you test it?

It may be that AOL will redirect you to a new address. If you check the address bar, can you copy/paste that URL into a reply? If it seems to contain personal information, you might want to replace that with ZZZZZ instead.

Missing sentences in a forwarded mail while using firefox but not happening in IE or Chrome

I am forwarding a earlier email to the same person. While forwarding 3 sentences were missing while using FIREFOX. But when I tried to do the same with IE or Chrome , it was working fine.

A Code 10 error is generated in Device Manager in one of the following situations:
Device Manager can't start the device.
One of the drivers that the device needs does not start.
Device Manager has insufficient information to recognize the error that is bubbled up by the device driver.

The Stationery in the mail is showing up for new mails,but when i reply to a mail it's not showing up? The stationery is one of the main reasons i bought the Apple Book.
It'd great if someone could guide me on how to use stationery while replying to mails..
If Apple can't do it can any third party software do it?

You could but that would be fairly slow and cumbersome. My recommendation is to get yourself a good quality Firewire 800 external drive and save your data files there. I would recommend either OWC Mercury Line, Lacie Quadra D2 or G Tech G Drive. This solution would be a little more expensive initially but would prove it's worth in the long term. All of these drives have similar features and are all high quality products.

How can I edit iWeb on laptop while Library remains on External Hard Drive?

I would like to know if there is a way I can keep my iPhoto Library on an External HD, but still be able (maybe using Thumbnails) to edit and organize iWeb updates when I am away from the Ext HD??
Then when I reconnect to the External Hard Drive, I would be able to publish the update(s) to iWeb.
I guess I want to split the Library so that I can still organize while away from Home (the original in the iphoto library).

I don't think you'll be able to operate that way. How are you operating iPhoto? If it's in the alias mode with the full sized original (source) files on the external HD then that's a definite no. I've tried it and I immediately get a message that the file (the full sized file) cannot be found.
If you have a normal library on the external HD how would you access the thumbnails if the drive was not mounted?

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.

How can I edit original e-mails from friends?

I've been able to do this w/Firefox 3.6.2 on my previous computer & present one ever since my first install. I would open e-mail, click on it & was able to delete or add text. Two days ago I was using backspace to remove text & decided to highlight a greater portion. I then hit delete, lost the whole e-mail & the ability to point & click into it. I have uninstalled 3.6.2 & reinstalled the new 3.6.6. Same result!

How to detect Edit controls on web application in Firefox?

I'm making a Coded UI Test with VS 2012 Update 4 for testing a web application.
On one of the web pages are two buttons for generating new entries.
These buttons are looking like that:

Because there was a leak with IDs and names i added these, whereever it was necessary.
Before the adding of the IDs and names Coded UI detected the buttons just by the text (defined by global.EintragHinzufuegen), so once one of the buttons was detected the other one couldn't be added as a seperate control to the UI-controllist of UIMap.test.
Internet Explorer just needs the ID and name in the button-tag, to detect the two buttons as different controls - in that case as Pane controls.
But when i make the same test with Firefox and click on the buttons while recording the test, the buttons are still detected by the text (global.EintragHinzufuegen).
So Coded UI registers a mouseclick on the Edit control (which contains the text) and in the controlslist of UIMap.test a hierarchy of Button and Edit is added.
Which changes have to be done in the HTML-code to make Coded UI detect the controls correctly while recording the test with Firefox?

Just to make this issue clearly, did you use this extension tool "Selenium components for Coded UI Cross Browser Testing"?
To find the controls, the coded UI test use the unique properties as the search properties, so if there are controls which have the same properties, I suggest you not use them as the search properties. Or you could custom a coded UI test with code or
use unique properties as the search properties.

I can no longer add an attachment to my e-mails while in Firefox, but am able to when using Safari. Why?

I use FF 22.0 on my iMac (OS 10.6.8). Within the last day or so I can no longer add attachments to my att webmail emails while using FF - - doesn't matter what kind of file. Adding attachments to my att webmail using Safari works just fine. I prefer using FF.
This problem seems to have popped up out of the blue. Any suggestions? At att's suggestion I deleted the FF cache and cookies, but this had no effect.

To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.
