How do i find out my itunes account balance

How do i find out my itunes account balance? Thanks

There is no sign of my Apple ID in the iTunes Store, no matter how many times I log in.
If I click on the "Purchase History" from my itunes receipt email, it redirect me to the itunes download page, everytime!
ALL I want is the BALANCE - How hard can it be!?! (...and purchase history would be nice!).
But instead the only options under Account are:
Update your Apple ID email address and password
Change your default shipping or billing info
Update Express Checkout settings
Manage email subscriptions
And the "Store - View Order History" knows nothing about itunes order history!
And all the iTunes links, keep sending me to the download page!!!
Sigh.

  • How can I find out which iTunes account was used to make a purchase?

Without really understanding how iTunes and Apple IDs worked, I created a US iTunes account on my MacBook Air as some of the content I wanted wasn't available in the Australian iTunes store.  So I had two iTunes accounts on the one device and I just switched between one account and the other.  But eventually I ran into problems with the whole 35 Day and 90 Day restrictions when trying to change between one and the other.  So now I'm going to use two separate devices to manage the two accounts, but I want to be able to remove everything I bought from the US iTunes account from my MacBook Air and keep only the stuff I bought from the Australian store.  Is it possible to find out which account was used to buy a particular song/video/TV programme?

Select the tune and then - Get Info - in the dialog box is a note of the Apple ID used to purchase.

  • How do I find out what itunes account an app was bought on?

    Hello,
I have a few apps that I can't synch with my new phone. I have no idea what iTunes account they were bought on.
Is there any way to find out without having to log on any account (maybe in the info of the file or something...?) ?
    Thank you!

If they are in the Apps part of your computer's iTunes library then you should be able to select/highlight one of them and do 'get-info' (control-I) and the account that owns the app should show on the File tab (Summary tab on older versions of iTunes) on the popup.
As long as the account is authorised on your computer's iTunes (Store > Authorise This Computer menu option) then you should be able to sync them to your phone.

  • How do I find out where iTunes thinks missing files are?

I have several hundred "missing" files in my iTunes library but they are all actually on the computer. But I don't remember where the were previously. I add dozens of songs at a time to my library all the time and there is no Earthly way for me to constantly remember where they were before. I don't just want to reimport the files because I have several hundred playlists with these files and it would be completely stupid to edit them all one at a time when all I need to do is to move them back to where iTunes thinks they should be. So where is that? The Windows media player has a column that displays file location. Why doesn't iTunes? (This is so stupid. It makes things -not just this- so much easier when you have the file location in the music list in your music player.)
Is there a way to find out where iTunes thinks the missing files should be at?

The exclamation mark means ITunes doesn't think they are anywhere.
If you right click - get info on a song then view the Info tab, you will see where iTunes last used it from.
I'm not a newbie. I know quite a lot about iTunes. You sound like you don't though because if you did you would know that this is not true. If you "right click - get info on a song" (pressing cancel to the Locate popup) "then view the SUMMARY (not info) tab" you will see "Not Available" where the file location usually is. I wouldn't have asked this question if I hadn't gone through the steps already.
Thanks for trying though. Next time, please try the advice before you give it.

You should not have to remember anything about where they were.
    I agree.
Are you always moving them around?
When I install a new hard drive. Yes. I generally keep everything organized and I let iTunes keep the folder organized but several years ago I used windows media player to organize my media.
Frankly I don't know HOW the recent songs/videos/etc. go missing. But some do. Maybe I accidentally move a folder without realizing it. Mistakes happen. Then I need to move it back but since I didn't know I did it in the first place I can't possibly be expected to remember where I moved it from.
Do you have iTunes prefs -> Advanced Keep ITunes music folder organized ticked and Copy files to iTunes ... ticked?
*OF COURSE!* Again, I'm not a newbie.
I have several hundred playlists with these files
Why would you have several hundred playlists?
I don't mean to sound rude but you sound like an Apple fanboy. Are you trying to tell me how I should use my own program? The answer to the question is I am a salsa instructor/DJ and I am constantly adding songs and videos to my library. Every month I have various salsa events, classes and performances that I do. I use my iPhone for the music. I need to maintain the playlists because students/teachers/studios/clubs/bars/churches/etc. call me back and want a repeat of the great salsa night I gave them a year ago. Naturally my playlists are highly organized into folders. So, I still have them and I need them.
Apple has its own ideas about how people should use its stuff but everyone is unique and our needs therefore are unique too. Apple doesn't realize this and still wants us to do things "the Apple way" even though "the Apple way" only works well for people who want their hand held through everything. This is why I say you sound like a fanboy. You don't know my situation and question if I need hundreds of playlists. I do.
I just need an answer to the question.
Thank you for your reply though. It gave me hope, for a time.

  • How do I find out in iTunes if there is enough space on my iPod?

    Hello,
My iTunes folder has become bigger than the space available on my iPod. When I try to sync, iTunes tells me there is not enough space on my iPod.
Isn't there an easier way to find out how much data is in iTunes, like a button that says "calculate disc space"? I mean the process of finding out that your iPod is full is tiresome. You delete a few files and go back to syncing then iTunes tells you: not enough space. So you go back, delete a few files and this in an almost endless loop till you finally get the ok from iTunes.
My iTunes Media folder has around 80GB, but I heard that a 80 GB iPod doesn't store 80 GB but rather 70 GB. Is that true?

When you connect your iPod to iTunes and select it from the device pane, does it not show the capacity and amount of space being used by music, videos, and apps?
You do not have to sync your entire library to your iPod, you can selectively control what does and does not sync.
No device has the exact stated capacity, this is not specific to iPods.  There is always overhead that must be accounted for in the operating system running the device.  Also, every hard drive is unique in it's capacity.... could you imagine the disaster of marketing if every package had to accurately (to the byte) reflect the capacity of the device?

  • How can I find out which iTunes library my computer is using?

I have a desktop Mac Mini at home that my wife uses and a MacBook Pro that I use at home and in the office.  I wanted to be able to access all the music we have on both machines from both machines, even when I am out and about and have no network connection for my MacBook Pro. So, I uploaded all the music we had on iTunes to Dropbox, and this now syncs on both computers.  So, whenever either of us adds music to iTunes, the songs are saved on both machines within the Music folder in Dropbox, which syncs in real time across both computers.  So far so good.
However, what I am finding is that, when either of us adds new music to our respective iTunes, it only shows on the computer on which it's been added.  So, within a matter of weeks, our computers no longer show the same music in our respective iTunes windows, even though the music is present on both machines in the synchronised Dropbox folder.
I realised that the computers must start using different iTunes library to each other when new songs are added to either machine.  So, I figured that, when we add music to one of the computers, if I pointed iTunes on the computer that has the less up-to-date music to the latest library that is being used by the computer with the more up-to-date music, this would ensure that both machines showed the same music in their repective iTunes windows.  The problem is that I cannot work out which iTunes library is being used by the computer with the more up-to-date music on it.  I know how to choose a different library when I open iTunes (hold down alt) but that doesn't help, because I all I want to do is to FIND OUT WHICH LIBRARY IS BEING USED BY ITUNES ON THE COMPUTER WITH THE MORE UP-TO-DATE MUSIC.  I simply can't find a way of getting iTunes to show me which library it is using, although this must be the simplest thing in the world. An additional issue is that I want to playlists we have created to appear on both machines - will that be the case if I point the less up-to-date iTunes (on my wife's Mac Mini) to the library of the more up-to-date iTunes (on my MacBook Pro), since my computer with the more up-to-date iTunes shows all the playlists, whereas my wife's doesn't?
So, can anyone help?  Plus if anyone knows of any software that can automatically ensure that two different Macs both use the same and most up-to-date iTunes library and therefore always show the lastest music collection, whichever machine the music has been added to, that would be fantastic.  Thanks.

You could have all the computers point to the same library but it can't be opened by more than one at any time.
No answer for knowing which library is in use other than selecting it at startup.  This question gets asked here occasionally but I don't think it is a high-demand feature since most people have just one library.  I guess you could put in an empty playlist with the library name so you have an identifier.

  • How can I find out what iTunes is billing my credit card for?

I was getting several iTunes charges a month that I did not make and they DON'T show up on my purchase list.  I changed my password and checked no form of payment and today I checked my credit card statement and there is a charge to iTunes for $12.98!  How does that happen?

    Sandy,
When you say they don't show up on your "purchase list," make sure you are looking at your Purchase History (in iTunes under Store > View My Account), and not your Purchased Playlist.
Also, if you happen to have more than one iTunes account, make sure to check the Purchase History for each.
If it is not in your Purchase History, then something must have been bought using your credit card on someone else's account, in which case you should dispute the purchase with your credit card company.

  • How do i find out which itunes lib an iphone is sync with?

    Hello,
i have two iphones for my wife and i. but when trying to snyc my wifes phone with itunes on her user account or mine.... it tells me that it can't sync because this computer is 'not authorised' OR it is synced with a different library? BUT it hasn't.  Is this because she has used a different itunes ID perhaps?
    thanks in advance,

If there is a problem with the security of your Facebook account, you should check with Facebook on whether they can trace the access to a particular device. This isn't something you can determine on your own.

    gail1944,
Try going to iTunes store in the left side bar, you should see your acct. on the top left of the pane with your Apple ID and the balance to the right of that.
    Hope this helps.
