Their is a black toolbar above my Norton search engine. How do I get it off?

Quit Safari
Go to Mac HD/Library/Internet Plugins
Look for "AdobePDFViewer.plugin" and "AdobePDFViewerNPAPI.plugin"
"Trash" them both. You may need to enter your admin password.
Empty the trash.
Relaunch Safari and open the PDF.
It should be OK.

I have an otterbox case on my iphone 4s. I dropped it and when I picked it up the screen was black with white lines. I held the buttons as a reset then the screen just turned black. How do I fix a black screen on a MacBook Pro (less than a year old)?

My daughter was working on her MacBook Pro and the screen went blank. She has rebooted and tried holding Shift key when rebooting and also Command V. Neither did anything. The keyboard is responsive and the computer is sounding/acting like normal except she can't see anything. She does not have a way to hook up to TV to see if it is the screen.

If the screen is black throughout the boot process, meaning no gray screen, no Apple logo, etc., it's likely a hardware problem. If she can't get to an Apple store, she can call and Apple will send a box for her to send it in to them. Of course, that lengthens the time it's out of her hands.

They messed up video drivers with the 10.10.3 update. There are forums all over talking about it. Yesterday they released a supplimental update, but at least in my case it didn't help. All three of my monitors just go black after 3 minutes and there is no way to make them work again without crashing the computer and restarting (which makes the OS very unhappy). Every time a dropdown menu is opened, black bars cover all the selections. The specific black bar will disappear when the mouse hovers over it but all the rest remain covered. If it is still goes to a red Verizon screen and then to black we might need to do a master reset. Make a temporary, backup copy of your library if you don't already have one (Control-click on the library and select Duplicate from the contextual menu) and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.
