How do i fix my sound

how do i fix my sound on my iphone

Hey there,
I was having an intermittent sound issue and discovered it was related to Bluetooth. Whenever my phone was pairing with a Bluetooth device (handset or car) most of the sound was also being transferred to that device and I didn't realize it. Turning off Bluetooth instantly fixed the issue.  Or you can increase the volume (select aux/USB source) and you'll hear the missing sounds!
Good Luck

  • How do i fix the sound on an iPhone 4S? When i play music the sound bar at the bottom disappeared and when i try to adjust sound with the buttons on the side, nothing happens. Also the sound in my apps is not working.

The sound isn't working. And it also does not appear, when i try to adjuct it with the buttons the sound bar doesn't appear and when i try playing music at the bottom the sound bar disappeared. How do I fix this?

Basic troubleshooting steps clearly outlined in the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new device.  Have you gone through ALL of these troubleshooting steps?
If you have gone through all the troubleshooting steps and you're still having problems, you'll need to bring your phone into Apple for evaluation.

  • How do you fix the sound that's not working on an iPad mini?

OK so the sound on it does not work. It's turned up all the way but nothing is still coming out. When I plug headphones into it, it works just fine and normal but without it, nothing. I looked up on google at the options of how to fix this and they pretty much all said to just turn it off and then back on. It also said to hold the power button until the swipe to turn off pops up and then to dismiss it. Plus one saying to hold both the home and power buttons down. I turned it off and then back on, as well as the other options but still nothing.
Am I doing these things wrong? Is there any other way that this can be fixed?

  • How do i fix my sound? Not the usual issues...

Ok I think i've been having problems with my sound since i did the latest update but i'm not sure. There aren't that many apps on my ipad 1, no music nothing crazy. There is no sound when pressing the screen lock button, no keyboard clicks, no sound in apps like youtube, netflix, or embedded videos on safari. When i check the sound settings there is sound when i adjust the volume on the screen, and the side volume buttons do adjust the volume accordingly but when not in settings the volume buttons only bring up a notification with a speaker (volume) icon with no bar under it and it says "Sound Effects" above it.
Also, when i double tap the home button to get to the settings all the way to the left there is no volume control slide. The bar is missing the control. The speaker button is NOT muted but i've tried turning it off and on to no avail.
Here are the things i've tried but have made no difference:
    1. Home and lock reset.
    2. Settings "reset all settings"
    3. Backup and full restore
Has anyone else had this problem?
    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for the quick reply.
Use Slide Switch to > Mute BUT the switch is not orange. I've tried changing these settings several times in all different combinations; no change.
Keyboard Clicks and the rest are all set to ON. I've turned them off and on several times; no change.
Double tap home button: I see where the volume adjustment should be but there is no slide to be able to change the volume there.
Actually i figured it out, so random: Next to the volume is the AirPlay button. It was set to Dock Connector rather than Apple TV. When i changed it, the volume came back. How odd, i don't recall ever changing that setting. Seems like everything else is peachy.
    Thanks!

  • How do I fix the sound on my brand new 4th gen iPod touch?

I recently ordered a refurbished 4th gen iPod touch and it arrived today. Everything seems to be working fine except the sound. I'll play a song or video and the sound will either come on for a couple seconds sounding distorted, or not come on at all. I've already restarted the iPod a few times and am currently trying to restore it. Is there anything else I can do to fix it?

    From speaker?
    From headphones?
    From both?
    Tried another pair of headphones?
    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack or other hardware problem.

  • How do I fix the sound on my iphone 5

The speaker on my phone all of the sudden started cutting out. It's turned all the way up and it sounds like you have the volume turned halfway down. Is there any way I can fix it or what? I've had the phone for 7 months and it's caused more headaches than any other phone I've ever had. Including my iPhone 4s.

Bring your phone to Apple for evaluation.  If there's a hardware issue, it will be replaced free of charge under warranty.

  • I have updated my iphone 4 with IOS 7 and for some reason there is no sound coming in my iphone anymore. I'm not quite sure if its a glitch or something. But if you all could just help me out that would be wonderful. How should i fix my sound in iphone 4?

Please help me out!! I actually need the sound going on ASAP because I have to do some of my work on my iphone. It would be nice if you could all help me.

Hi, thanks for the suggestion. I have tried as you suggested, and when opening the "purchased" apps some have the icloud logo next to them, but I only have "OPEN" against "Find My iPhone". When opening it up, it goes through the same routine; needs to be updated before proceeding, and wouldn't update because I don't have IOS8.
Anything else I could try, or am I doomed!
All of your help is much appreciated, thanks

Okay, more explanation seems to be called for:

Thank you very much for your opinion.
It's not an 'opinion' - we are talking about the factual Laws of Physics here. Whatever you capture is what you've got. There are some forms of interference that can be removed because they are predictable (like noise, and anything else statistically repetitive), but after that you are left with manipulating what you have captured - and that doesn't improve it ever, it just alters it. If it's not there (like in your case, all the high frequencies, which is why it sounds 'fuzzy') then you can't improve it - simply because there is nothing to improve it with. Same goes for any form of overload distortion - if the level controls on your system allow you to (unwittingly)  add a load of harmonically unrelated signals to your wanted one in a rather dynamic manner, then there's no way that they can be correlated out again. The person who discovers a way of undistorting signals will make an absolute fortune - but don't hold your breath.
But you have a double whammy here - you've recorded on some sort of camera device, and the sound you've captured is from what may well be a woefully inadequate PA system, which is adding a whole load of other problems to the ones you already have. Camera/Camcorder sound has an unenviably bad
reputation in the first place - you have a microphone exactly where you don't want one on almost every occasion that you use it, and this leads to more problems and anguish for more people than you might ever credit.
What you've got is your camera's version of what the sound was like where you recorded it, I'm afraid - it hasn't added very much itself, apart from probably the distortion. If you really think that it sounded better at the event (and your ears can be very deceptive in these situations) then the only option you have is to get a better recording device and use it rather closer to the real source of the sounds you are recording - not the PA versions of it. And even then don't expect miracles - bad sound is what defines bootleg recordings, after all.
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR ALL YOUR HELP!!!
You may not realise it, or even think so, but this is probably the most helpful message you will get about this - honestly.
