How do I fix these glitches? If fixable...?
Hello, I have the 4th gen iPod touch with the latest software, 5.0.1. It was running fine after the newest update, it was just a few weeks ago that it started acting up.
Occasionally, the camera app will show a black screen... just a black screen. I try touching the screen and nothing happens.
Another problem I have is when I go to music, and I click on the 'more' tab, and click a category that's empty (like audio books), it will take me to a black screen: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/823/blackscreenl.jpg/ When I tap one of the tabs, it will go back to normal, but when I try going back to audio books, instead of a black screen, it will just have a blank list: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/32/blanklist.gif/ . And sometimes one of the categories, or an icon or both will dissapear: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/43/nopodcast.jpg/. All these glitches seem to be fixed temporarily through turning the iPod off, but they often come back later on.. but the camera glitch happens less often than the others.
The only other thing is that I don't have the lastest itunes update... I'm wondering if that could be a possibility, or if I downloaded an app that might have corrupted my ipod... Anyway, although they aren't too much of a problem, it does become a bit frustrating. Thank you in advance!

I was reading this article and it said that you should validate your fonts occasionally. I did and a whole bunch fonts came up with problems. How do I fix these problems?
At the top of the window where your fonts appear after the validation run, there's a drop-down (defaulted to 'all')
Select warnings and errors from that list and the resultant list in the main window should tell you what the problem is. The most common is duplicated fonts.
You can use 'resolve duplicates' in Font book, but it can be a bit hit and miss which ones it deactivates.

Thanks.Did you check the long verticle silver button on the left side of the phone? It is above the + & - Keys. If it is pushed down, you will have no volume. THis is a key to quickly shut off the volume if you forgot to trun it down during a meeting, funeral, etc. If that is okay, go into settings and see if volume is turned on. "vibrate" is no longer an option by itsself.

I do not know what any of these do or how to fix them. I have run multiple disk permission repairs & disk repairs. The startup & system extension errors continue to come up.
I even followed the directions to move HP IO & HP Trap Monitor to the trash, run disk permissions repair, put back in folder, then restart - and still am getting error message. -

Pages export corrupts word doc how can I fix this glitch?
In Pages, when I Share and Export the Pages doc to a Word doc and open the Word doc it is corrupted - showing up copy from an older document. The same copy shows up every time. It looks faded out on each page and the actual copy from the Pages document shows up. This happens every time I export to Word and open the Word doc. Does anyone know how to fix this glitch?
A glitch I haven't heard about before. Are you sure that you are not opening the old doc every time and have saved the new some where else on the computer?

I am using Firefox 4.0 on Windows XP home, Service pack 3. I am trying to use some of the new features of Firefox 4.0 that I see on the Firefox feature page (http://mzl.la/gCFDjj) and am not having much luck. First off in the Firefox Button. It is supposed to contain all your menu items but it is not appearing on my screen. Is this a feature that only works in Vista or Windows 7?
Second, I am trying to use the Bookmarks Button (the one that has the drop down menu) but it doesn't appear in my toolbar unless I right click the tool bar and choose "customize". The button shows up in this view already in the toolbar, as if it is hidden in normal use and no matter where I move it to, once I hit the "done" button in the customize window the Bookmarks Button gets hidden/covered up again.
Third, I see the new "App Tabs" feature but I can't seem to find an option for this in the preferences for Firefox, if it's even supported by my browser/OS at all.
Can anyone tell me how to use/activate these features or if I am even able to using Windows XP?You see the orange (on Linux gray) Firefox button if the Menu Bar is hidden (View > Toolbars > Customize or right-click a toolbar).<br />
If you need to access the hidden Menu bar then press F10 or hold down the Alt key to make the Menu Bar appear temporarily.<br />
You only see the Bookmarks menu button if the Menu bar is hidden. -
After updating Acrobat Reader my computer now freezes when I try to fill in forms using Acrobat Reader, this never happen before! Now the only way to unfreeze my computer is to turn it off and restart it, which is not how a computer is suppose to be turned off as nothing responses to get it unfrozen(ESC., Contol-Alt-Delete)! The I shows up as if I am able to fill in forms, but after trying to fill in the form numerous times various ways, it always ends up freezing my computer up! I HATE THE NEW UPDATES! Why can't I speak with a live human, through Adobe? I would not want to buy anything from any company which would not allow me support by talking to a live human over the phone, as typing messages can be misunderstood! Their is no point to have Acrobat Reader any more if it does not allow me to fill in forms! I could use the reader that came with the computer! It is sad that for myself filling forms using Acrobat Reader was nice since there are times I am unable to write anything due to tremors, unfortunately I am not alone in this type of medical problem and we the disabled the majority of us are on Social Security! Everyone know that Social Security does not give their recipients enough money to live off of! It is sad when a person is ill they lose more than their livelihood, so called friends abandon you too! So how can I fix the freezing problems and is there any Adobe that I can fill in forms which will not cost me money and or another company that may offer this free of charge?

How do I fix these errors when downloading Itunes?
I keep getting the following errors:
Could not open key: UNKOWN\Components\(some letters and numbers)\(some letters and numbers). Verify that you have sufficent access to that key or contact your support personnel.
This message flashes about three of four times through out the installing.
Once I get past these errors, I eventually get this message, which ultimately ends any attempt to dowload Itunes.
The installer has insufficient privileges to modify this file: C:\Program Files (x86)\Itunes\ITDetector.ocx

Hi there. I shot with a nikon d7000. The clips look great on the viewer but quite bad on canvas (also after its been exported) I converted my clips to apple pro res 422 using mpeg streamclip. The size I used was 1920 x 1080. How can I fix this?

The auto functions under the Enhance tool all turn the picture either all black or all red. How can I fix this so I can use the "Auto" functions under the Enhance tool.
Without more info like version of photoshop or photoshop elements, operating system, color mode of the image, etc, i'd say to check the Auto Color Correction Options>Target Colors.
Make an Levels adjustment layer and in photoshop select Auto Options or in Photoshop Elements Alt or Option click on the Auto button
The default colors are

I would highly recommend removing the currIndex() method from Set for starters. You don't need it. You have a nice little iterator you can use with next() and I recommend that you do.
The exception is being caused by the fact that you are trying to read items from your set (with getCurrent()) that do not exist.
So there is something wrong with your while loop logic. Again though this could be made much cleaner with something like
while(aSet.next()){Assuming next is correct of course but either way you it should be and I think that's much cleaner than what you have going on now. -
How do I fix these problems with my iPhone 4S?
Okay, so I recently purchased a LifeProof case for iPhone 4S to take underwater photos and videos. Upon my third or fourth submersion, I discovered that water (very small amounts) had entered the case via the dock connecter area. I immediately removed the phone from water, dried it off and left it for about an hour. I (incorrectly) thought that my phone was completely dry and made the huge mistake of charging my phone. I returned an hour later to a funny smell and a very unhappy iPhone.
My current problems include a malfunctioning home button (activating siri on it's own and being unresponsive most of the time), a disappearing volume bar in music, youtube etc. (no volume without using a dock) and charging problems (doesn't charge from time to time). All of these problems seem to affect each other and we can go ahead and assume it's as a result of water damage.
I will be working out some way to get these issues professionally repaired (some clues as to where to go would be lovely), but I can't see to that for at least a week and a half. Are there any temporary (or permanent for that matter) fixes that i can do relatively easily? (not jailbroken)The only possible fix was turning the phone off immediately and burying it in a bag of dry rice for a week at least. That might...just might...have worked. But you're way beyond that and I see no fixes. In fact the phone is probably going to get more problems before finally gving up the ghost. Continued use is just shorting out more and more of the circuitry. For that reason I don't think repair is much of an option. Go to an Apple Store and buy an out-of-warranty replacement.
