How do I generate HTML5 files from After Effects CC?

Hi
Forgive my n00b question, but I've built a small video in After Effects that I need to import into Adobe Edge Animate. Edge says it will take .ogg files, so how do I convert an After Effects project to output usable footage available to HTML5 sources?
Thanks again,
Rich

Rick (and anyone else working through this issue):
I received this info when I posted this same question on the Edge Animate forums, I hope it helps :-)
Hi Rich,
Unfortunately, Adobe Media Encoder doesn't have native support for ogg/theora or ogg/vorbis. However, you can install a (currently beta) plug-in on your system which will enable ogg encoding in AME:
fnordware/AdobeOgg · GitHub
Or, if you'd rather, you can also install the Firefox extension Firefogg, and encode to ogv directly from Firefox:
Firefogg - video and audio encoding for Firefox
I've had excellent results using both of the above methods.

  • How to create editable .mov files from After Effects

    Hi,
I am creating videos for my clients using after effects.
The requirment is that they should be able to edit the .mov files e.g adding their company name, text or logo without using after effects without losing any effects.
    How can I accomplish this?
    Thanks....

Editing video is not possible with Photoshop Elements.
Photoshop Elements is for photo editing
In order to edit videos , you should use Premiere Elements or Premiere Pro
However, Adobe does offer a combined package of Photoshop Elements and Adobe Premiere Elements, which might work perfectly for someone who just needs the most basic tools for editing both photos and video.

  • How do I export a video from After Effects CC to an iPhone? I'm using a PC.

How do I export a video from After Effects CC to an iPhone? I'm using a PC.

Short answer, there is no simple "export to iPhone", but if you just want to have a movie that you can watch on you iPhone, just send yourself an attachment via email (other than .avi) and save it to your phone.
You can also use dropbox as an option.
With an app, you could mount your iPhone as an external drive. (check out iExplorer)
Also: check AME for h264 variations before you send it to yourself.  There are presets for iPhone compression.

  • Color in .mov file from After Effects CS6

Scrren shot of how my animation looks in After Effects CS6 (on the left), vs. how it looks when rendered to a .mov file. (on the right). See how washed-out the colors look?
I am on a Mac, latest software versions and OSX.7.4. The source material is in RGB mode,  Color Setting is Adobe RGB 1998, which is my wRGB working space. Color settings are synchronized across the entire suite. In the AE project settings, I see that color management is turned on and we are indeed in the  Adobe RGB 1998 color space.
Possibly export settings, because I do not know thing one about those!

Read this FAQ: What is the best format for rendering and exporting from After Effects?
Then I would suggest trying a different codec.  When you send your comp to the Render Queue it says lossless next ot the Output Module Settings, that means that it's using After Effect's defualt lossless settings, which uses a codec called Animation.  Animation is an ancient codec that delivers huge files and it isn't used so much in production anymore.  If you click on lossless the Output Module Settings screen will come up where you can change the format of your render and you can change the codec by hitting the Format Options button.
I've seen that washed out issue before with the Animation codec and just did some tests.  I also played with the Color Management settings using the Animation codec by going to the upper right hand tab in the Output Module Settings menu.  That seemed to have no effect on the final look of the render.  A quicktime render with the Apple ProRes 422 (HQ) codec seems to match the AE screenshot almost identically.
Unfortunately, you can't get the ProRes codecs without having either Final Cut Pro installed or Apple Motion.  I think it's possible to buy them from the Apple website.  However, there are other lossless codecs you can try such as Uncompressed YUV 10bit or 8bit, but I just did a test and I got a much darker render than the ProRes renders and the screenshot.  Judge for yourself what's best...
If you want ot know more, here's an FAQ on the basics of rendering and exporting in AE...

  • Render files from After Effects inserts do not reload when starting Premiere Pro (CS6)

    Hi there,
When I have an insert from After Effects in Premiere Pro, and when I render these parts in the sequence, everything is fine untill I restart Premiere Pro: the render files do not load. Checking the cache directory however, they do exist! Anybody knows how to solve this issue?
    Thanks for yor response, Pieter

I failed to mention that I tried this on another computer as well with a completly different lesson. This time I brought the whole footage in to afteraffects and did the keying and then went back to CS6 and tried to render it, and it locked up my second computer the same way.

  • CS 6 locks up when encoding using modified files from after effects

I have not had any problems until I started trying to use a green screen, which has turned out to be a major pain. Ultra key did a good job, but I kept being told the after affects does a better job. My computer is a PC has 32 Gigs of ram a 4 gig video card, I7. I also just downloaded all the latest updates. I imported an AVCHD file after shooting a 30 min lesson on green screen. Had to do a lot of editing to get all put together so there were lots of cuts and I had alot nested sections so I can resize myself with the background to keep the perspective correct. After I had decent success with keying, though I wish it were better, I tried moving each indivdual video clip over to after effects to key in there. It looked like it might have been a little bit better than the using ultrakey. I tried serveral different turtioals, but finally found one that seemed to work pretty good. (BTW if you have a favorite turtorial that you like on keying, please share.)
Anyways, after taking forever to get all these clip edited in after affects, I wanted to export my completed video so I could see how well it worked. I never got the the chance because no matter what I choose under MPG2 it would lock up around 8%. Even when I tried to get to encode a 2min section of the video, it still locks up. The only way to get out of the program is to force it closed. As I searched for answer to this problem, someone suggested holding he shift key down while you open CS6, but that did not help. BTW the same file exports fine as long as I do not send any of the footage to after effect
I hop you guys can help because it would be nice to be able to try and use after affects as well so I can at least see if the final result of the keying is better or not.

  • Export 720x1280 flv file from after effect

    Hi
I made a verticle 720x1280 24fps composition in after effect and i need to render the flv file. But when i render flv its automatic resize the file to 720x1080.
how can i render the 720X1280 flv file. I need the flv file because i need to play it in digital signage software that only accept flv file.
    Thanks
    Hassan T.

Some formats are very particular about frame size. It's built in. Nothing you can do about it except follow the advice to always use the presets for AE comps unless you know exactly what you are doing. Your vertical file is a non standard FLV file size. Simple as that.
If you are going to use the rendered movie in a Flash project I'd suggest that you embed an h.264 file. Use the AME (Adobe Media Encoder) to render the file. It won't matter if the file is vertical or horizontal, but FLV files will always be resized. I would even go farther than that and use HTML 5 and Javascript so your project would be mobile compatible.

  • How to export 4K H264 direct from After Effects?

When we try exporting our 4K project (4096x1707) direct form After Effects using H264 we get the yellow mismatch warning at the bottom.  It then resizes the file to 2000x1707. Other formats work fine.  If we take it to Media Encoder then H264 works fine but took over 30 hrs to render vs 6.5 hrs coming from AE using another codec.  Is there a way to correct this?
    Thanks
    Mike

Short of motion picture theaters, I can't think of anything that can even play back in a 2.35:1 aspect ratio.
What device are you using for playback, and what kind of device are you using to show it?  And if you have delivery specifications from someone else, what are they?

  • Having trouble exporting file from After Effects CS5.5

I am trying to add some titles to a Multi Camera mix I have finished. I have exported my multi cam that I created in Premiere Pro as an MPEG.
So hears what I have done:
    - open After effects
    - create new composition (HD 1080x1440- length 2:16 (so clip fits)
    - I place my clip in the time line the type some text.
    - in the effects bar I click the roll up and select "Browse Presets" which opens adobe bridge
    - I apply my effects and they play back in elements fine...
When I try to export my clip as a Premiere Pro Project it doesnt keep my animated txt when I open it. Says it does not support the presets. his
Con someone please help me export this project? Getting very frustrating. I need it as a High Res HD file

Create the titles in After Effects without the MPEG.  (Or if you must use it as a reference, go ahead and do so, and then when you're done creating the title, delete the MPEG.)
Then go back to PP and select File>Dynamic Link>Import After Effects Composition...  Navigate to the AE project that has the title, and bring in that composition.  It will appear in your bin as a clip.  Then you add it to the sequence and export the completed video with titles.

  • How to generate .java file from xml?

Does anyone have an idea of how i can generate .java file from xml file? Tools like jakrata digester, JOX are there but both of them are useful in populating java beans from xml. My requirement is to generate .java file from .xml with getters and setters methods for xml elements/attributes. I also tried JAXB. But JAXB generates bunch of files and most of them are interfaces, which is not going to work for me.
For e.g. i have following xml file and i want to generate Address.java file with getters/setters. Any ideas?
    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8' ?>
    <Address>
    <FirstName type="String"/>
    <PoBox type="int"/>
    </Address>

  • Decompressing video files using After effects

    Hello!!
I have a SONY Full HD camcorder that records in an AVCHD format.
So when I import my clips into my computer's hard drive, they are compressed. That meens that I have to decompress them in order to work with the best quality.
So, I use After Effects to export the AVCHD clips totaly uncompressed (I export them into none compressed Quicktime files). Then I re-import the uncompressed Quicktime clips into After Effects and start working with them, adding effects, color correction and so on. When I finish, I export them again totally uncompressed, in order to import them to Premiere for the final editting. I do that because I do not own an Adobe production suite so that to use Adobe Link for transfering files from After Effects to Premiere.
I decompress all my AVCHD clips because I won't need to apply effects to all of them, so some will go straight to Premiere without passing through After effects, since there is no need. So they must be decompressed.
I have noticed that when I decompressed an AVCHD clip, it got 578 GB from 84GB. So when I re-imported the uncompressed 578 GB clip in After Effects and added some effects and color correction, the final clip got out 392GB, although I chose the uncompressed settings and although I added effects. Normally it should be more than 578 GB.
Would you happen to know why is that?
Do you have any other suggestion of how should I decompress my camcorder clips? I have Quicktime but I cannot play AVCHD files, since it is an unsupported format for Quicktime.
    Thank you!!
    Giannis

After Effects and added some effects and color correction, the final clip got out 392GB, although I chose the uncompressed settings and although I added effects. Normally it should be more than 578 GB.
The default QT output uses the Animation CoDec, which is a visually lossless compression. No problem here and I think you are overdoing. There is nothing wrong with converting files e.g. to LZW compressed TIFFs, PNG or EXR files, all formats producing much smaller file sizes than QT files and without losing any info...

  • Exporting layers of audio from After Effects  cs6 to Premiere / or Audition? Is this possible?

exporting layers of audio from After Effects  cs6 to Premiere / or Audition? Is this possible?
Help - I have an After effects project with multiple layered files and want to copy these to Premiere / Audition. For example I know if you select multiple video files from After Effects these can be pasted straight into Premiere intact - but this does not work with audio. I want to take existing layered audio files from After Effects to Audition / or Premiere but can't copy and paste - is there a simple solution for this?

Hi thanks Dave for responding - yes that could work as a 'workaround' -  I was hoping there would be a way I can keep the existing independent audio layers and corresponding audio levels from After Effects- in the same way I can copy and paste video files from After Effects to Premiere - rather than exporting a flattened AIFF /WAV from After Effects.
This would then allow me a lot more control working on the final edit - especially as currently a lot of the audio layers overlap. It does seem there is no simple solution for this, so  otherwise I can do what you suggest - and 'stagger all the audio files' in sequence so they do not overlap on the timeline and then when I import the flattened exported AIFF file into Audition/ Premeire / I then can cut it up again and recreate the overlaps. Was hoping there might be a simple copy + paste method or other 'export method' but I guess this is simply not possible. It would save me about 7 hours of work, but not the end of the world I guess
One final point - some of the audio clips are .mp3s but the majority are WAVS, hopefully this should not create any issues on the export.
thanks again for your help, if you or anyone has any other solution pls let me know
    Best
    Alex

Is what you're saying that you only want backups in TM of the state of your Mac from January 2015 to the current date and nothing before then? I'd think the simplest solution would just be to delete in TM all the backups prior to 1/15 and then let TM do its thing. The ultimate source for all things Time Machine is here. On this page, note the comment that "Time Machine will never delete the backup copy of anything that was on the disk being backed-up at the time of any remaining backup" which I understand to mean that if you delete all the backups in the TM file prior to 1/15, any file that wasn't present on your Mac as of 1/15 will no longer be represented in the TM file. Note that the second link also has instructions for how to delete TM files.
If you were trying to accomplish something else, then as Emily Litella (Gilda Radner in SNL) used to say, "never mind."

I am new to XML publisher. I known one way to generate XML file is register one report file in concurrent manager.
But I want to generate XML file from sql file.
Could someone show me how to code in sql file, how to register is in concurrent manager.
    Thanks !

    Hi
Phew ... not sure we have the space here. So I can point you in the right direction:
    1. XML data generation - there are two packages in the db you can use with a plsql procedure, XMLGEN and SQL XML. You can also use java APIs too. Try checking the db documentation and search for the above methods.
    2. Registering the report - the system administrators guide will provide this info. Hooking the program up with XMLP is covered here - http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/applications/publishing/resource/CM%20Whitepaper5.0.pdf
