How do I get a navigation app to work through my bluetooth?

I have a new iPhone 4S and want to use a Navigation App to help me find my way around. If the Mapquest is running and the radio is on, I can't hear the directions. The only way I could get it to work is to turn Siri on so the nav plays through the car's bluetooth but then you can make a call us use the phone for anything else. Am I missing something here?

only bluetooth headset which support the a2dp profile can play music and game sounds
the wast mayority of those are stereo and it's not a ios thing it's like that with all smartphones, pda's and tablets

You may be out of luck with your phone.
Drying out a phone does not mean the circuitry inside the phone was not damaged by the water. There could be shorts, etc which may prevent the phone from working correctly or at all.
I would suggest re-activating your old phone if you have one. Another option would be to try to borrow an old phone from a friend/relative until you are able to upgrade.

How do I get my "play" button to work on my bluetooth keyboard?

I am using a Mid 2010 21.5" iMac running Mountain Lion. I recently had my HDD replaced by Apple because of the recent 1TB Segate Drive recall and now I cannot use my pause/play, skip, and back buttons on my apple wireless keyboard. I can use them as function keys but nothing else. I can change the brightness and change the sound using the keyboard but I cannot skip or pause a song or video or anything like that except for using a mouse and clicking on the next button or using my iPhone as a remote which only goes so far. I have tried using multiple programs, iTune, DVD Player, VLC Player and all are not able to be controlled by the keyboard and yes I made sure this programs were on top. This also holds true for expose. I am sure this simply has to be a simple setting somewhere but I am not sure where it would be. The only like setting that I saw was looking for was changing it so I need to use the function button every time I want to use a function like the sound or expose. I tried with this both on and off but can't get it to recognize the play functions. I have updated my bluetooth keyboard firmware but no luck. I have also changed the batteries twice to verify this was not the issue.

How do I get my ARD/AppleTV to work through bonjour across multiple vlans?

I am having a heck of a time, I have 200 iMacs running 10.9 and a 10.9 server. We also have 30 apple TVs. These are spread over 5 distinct vlans and I am having a heck of a time getting them all to see each other. I found some information that started getting over my head about adding a bunch of dns entries for each device which would not scale well, and all seemed to be for printers anyways so I have turned here for some hopeful assistance.

Bonjour is designed to stay on the local LAN and not go across routers, with VLANs you have split your network up and Bonjour normally will not cross the splits even if you enable TCP/IP routing between VLANs.
There are various schemes aimed more for site-to-site situations to force Bonjour across links but in your case you might want to look at some newer devices specifically made to 'manage' Bonjour traffic.
Note: Bonjour is the same thing as mDNS i.e. multicast DNS.

Apple's AirPort Extreme can also do 'Wide Area' Bonjour between two or more sites but I don't feel it is suited to your case.

How do you get an iPad 1 to work through a projector?

I have the special cable that connects the iPad to the projector but unlike with a laptop, where one presses something like F6, I don't know what to do to make the iPad and the projector see one another. Any ideas? I am simply trying to run Keynote as a presentation.

To the best of my knowledge - and this is just with using the TV attachment for my Touch, as soon as you plug them in the ipad should be sending the image out. Have you checked the input on the projector? Made sure it's set to the right input?

The problem is, once I create a document in Pages and turn it into an ePub to be opened in iBooks, I delete the document in Pages, because I don't need two copies taking up space on my iPad. Before Maverick, iTunes would backup everything in my iBook app on my iPad. If something ever happened to my iPad, all of my created ePubs would be lost and I would be screwed. I suppose I could keep everything on Pages and go to iCloud and download my documents to my Mac, but that is a lot of steps. I may have to do that if there is no other way, but I am hoping someone will have the answer for me. Pretty disappointed in iBooks app for Mac at this point.

You can set up an iCloud account on each one (the SAME iCloud account using the same AppleID on each) and then sync via iCloud.

However, an iCloud backup nor sync contains purchased content - that is available for redownload from the iTunes and App stores (so no need to waste iCloud space storing it for you).
So, for purchased content, you will have to download it on each device - just use the same AppleID and download each item on each device.
Without a computer to aid the sync'ing, downloading the purchased content on each device is the only way.
P.S audiobooks cannot be re-downloaded once purchased (all other content can be), so without a computer to save, store and move the audiobook files around, you will only be able to put those on one device - the one you first purchase it on.

She can't from iCloud without setting up your iCloud account on her phone. But just sync the same apps from your iTunes Library on your computer to her phone.
Your wife should setup her own iCloud account - which is separate to the iTunes Store accounts.

Content and Apple IDs -
Content is forever tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Apple does not transfer content from one Apple ID to another. Apple does not merge Apple IDs. You will never be able to access your content bought with one Apple ID with a new Apple ID.

If you are running iTunes 11 and if you didn't figure this out yet, when you launch iTunes - go to View>Show Sidebar from the menu at the top of the screen. Once you can see the sidebar, iTunes looks so much more familiar.
The "new look" iTunes doesn't appeal all that much to me, I just want the functionality that I have always had. It's still there, its just been hidden with a lot of fluff and visual wow that I really don't care about .... Just my opinion.
