How do I get color management options in PSE9?

I have been trying to print pictures on an HP printer and when I do they come out fairly red and pink.  When I go under more options under printing and select color management the only option that I have to adjust is print space.  I have a PSE9 book which shows that I should have color highlighting, image space, rendering intent as options but they do not appear.  I have tried many different solutions but nothing has helped, same results.  My file formats are in RAW but I also tried JPEG which ended with the same result.  I was thinking of reinstalling the software but wasn't sure if I would lose all of my files.
Thanks,

Sorry, I meant color handling.  However this is the screen that I was talking about.  The only option that mine shows is image space.  I want to know how to get the rest of this information to show up.  I believe once I get this fixed I should be able to make prints with the correct color balance.
Do you mean 'color editing or correction' rather than 'color management' ? Correcting the color balance may be done in either of the quick, guided or full mode. If so, which mode do you use ?

I don't suppose you have a full CC subscription?  It comes with a feature called Typekit which I love. Along with an ever increasing range of top quality fonts, it has the best font manager I have used, and excellent search facility.

  • Can't access Color Management options for HP 6700 under Mac OS 10.8.5 (Mountain Lion)

    Hello.
I've got the HP Officejet 6700 Premium e-All-in-One and I can't find any way to access Color Management options.
The printer is attached (Wi-Fi) to my iMac running Mac OS 10.8.5 (Mountain Lion).
I want to correct a magenta cast to photographs that I've printed.  I've had the magenta-cast problem under Lightroom and using Preview to print the photographs, so now I want to work with color profiles in Photoshop Elements.
Photoshop Elements recommends that I "disable color management in the printer preferences dialog".
However, I'm not able to find color management preferences for the 6700 in any of the settings under Mountain Lion:
Not under (Apple) > System Preferences > Print & Scan.
Not under (HP Utility) > Open Embedded Web Server.
Not under (HP Utility) > Printer Settings.
    Not under Preview's print dialog.
Nor can I find any clear direction in the online help (at HP or elsewhere) that I've read so far.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
    Thank you!
    Michael

Please note that in the Print dialog I get "Color Matching" not "Color Management."
Still, I am (at this point) able to control color from Photoshop Elements, so that's good enough to proceed.
    Thanks again.

  • HP Deskjet 5100 Stuck on Grayscale - Color Management Options unavailable in printer settings

    Hello!
My printer is an HP Deskjet 5100 on Mac 10.8.5. It is stuck on grayscale when printing. No matter what program I try to print in I do not get the color management option, even when checking in the advanced options.
On photoshop it's also stuck to grayscale.
I have printed a test page successfully in color. But for some reason no program will print in anything but grayscale.
I have tried to update the drivers, but according to the HP website/driver check everything is up to date.
    Other information:
In printer options, I can't even check my cartridge levels. I receive the following message: Information Not Available
In ColorSync Utilites, under Devices, it says Printer Mode is: "Gray". When I try to assign a different color profile to it, it doesn't take.
I have done a hard reset on the printer.
I have removed completely and resynced the printer with the computer again in System Pref/Print & Scan
Any information would be amazing. I have checked every forum I could find online,

    Hi,
Your printer is not compatible with Mountain Lion, therefore the Mac use a Generic PCL driver which is Black & White driver only:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01856359&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=304431&task...
You may try a 3rd party driver as HPIJS, it seems to support your printer and will more likely provide you a better results than a generic driver.
Be sure to install any of the 3 required downloads before adding the print queue:

  • How do i disable color managment Pro-100

This printer has been nothing but a headache and I'm not sure how others can get it to work...anyway. The problem is the color(specificly oranges and red). It's way off from the color on my monitor. So, I purchased a ColorMunki Dispaly and calibrated my monitor.  That didn't help. Next I downloaded the Canon Print Studio Pro and when I access it through Photoshop CC, it (canon print studio) tells me the driver isn't installed for the printer....HOWEVER can print to the PRO-100 from every program on my Mac, so clearly the driver IS installed. Now I think I will try getting a custom ICC profile but in order to do that I need to disable the color management, but when I look for a  radio button or some thing like that I end up just raising my blood pressure!
Can some one direct me on how I can disable color management in the PRO-100? Or if you could direct me on how to fix the color that would be great too but it seems to be much more complex issue.

See here and give this a try.

  • How can I get the frame option that diffuses the edges of a picture in pages 5.2

I recently updated to Pages 5.2 and have discovered that my favorite and most used framing option is no longer a choice.  How can I get the frame option that allowed you to diffuse the edges to soften a picture edges on 5.2?

That is called the vignette, and yes Apple has removed it from Pages 5 along with 100 other features.
Pages '08/'09 should still be in your Applications/iWork folder so use that.
Be aware that Pages 5.2 is not only short of features it is also buggy and prone to leaving you with files that won't open.

First thing to try: uninstall, then reinstall the latest Reader version.
If that does not solve the problem, provide some information on your operating system, Reader version, etc.

  • EPS: Postscript Color Management option accessible through scripting?

    Hi,
I have a problem with Photoshop EPS file when the "Postscript color management" option is activated.
Is there a way to check that this option is activated?? I was not able to find it with ScriptDebugger inspector or even in the user interface.
The option is read from the document because when you save the document the dialog that appears display the option state with the appropriate status (when in was previously saved).
I want to do a batch to identify image that have this option set, so it has to be a non-interactive solution!
I'll continue searching on my own, but any help is appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Eric

    Well...
The only "productive" way i have found was to build a application that read the document as text and seek in the file for a specific pattern (i had the file with and without the option, the eps was in readable format so i was able to do so).
I already had a program to go trough all the files, it was just a few lines of code.

  • How do I get Application Manager to recognize that Photoshop is not installed?

Application Manager says that Photoshop CS6 is installed. It isn't. I've rebooted the Mac and it still says it's installed.  What installed was a partial or corrupt file which I have trashed. How do I get Application Manager to recognize that Photoshop is not installed so I can download and install it again?  Thanks.

Do you have an uninstaller available to you in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder?  If so then please run the uninstaller.
If you don't then please utilize the uninstallers available in this folder to remove all currently installed Adobe Creative Software.  You will then want to follow this by running the CS Cleaner tool.  You can find details on the use of the CS Cleaner tool at CS Cleaner Tool for installation problems | CCM, CS6, CS5.5, CS5, CS4, CS3 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html.

  • How do I get colors to match screen in printing?

I have been printing with an epson [artisan 50]  for a long time, always great colors on my pc.
just switched to a mac and latest version of ps cs6 and my prints are not color correct [very muted colors on the print]
It is definitely not the printer [prints perfect from otherc applications]
I have tried many of the settings / color management options, but none seem to do the job.
Right now I have it set on 'photoshop manages color' and then for printer profile my printer type with correct paper.
I don't know what to do- if someone can please share their knowledge on color management/printing, i'd be so grateful!!

  • From where i will get file manager option in firefox os smart phone

i am not getting file manager option in firefox os smart phone, please suggest step wise process to follow.

    Hi sanatankumarsahu,
Was the download of the File Manager application successful? If so, an icon for the application should have been added to your Home Screen.
Make sure you swipe to the left/right until you find the newly downloaded application.
If you dislike that specific File Manager, you may download and test different file manager applications from the link that Philipp provided.

  • No color management option is not available in photoshop cs5 mac

Currently have CS5 for Mac; upgraded to Mavericks and now the "no color management option" in the print dialog box is not selectable. Any help with this please advise.

If we're looking at the same thing that's greyed out (the Color Mode setting for an Epson printer), to make that active you have to first choose Color Matching, which is in the same menu that Printer Settings is on, and then choose Epson Color Controls. But on my Mac, Color Mode is already set to "Off (No Color Management)" even though it's grayed out.
If it says "Off (No Color Management)" in the printer driver and at the same time Photoshop is set to "Photoshop Manages Colors" and the correct printer profile is selected in Photoshop, you should be fine.
It's important to note that the only purpose for the Adobe Color Printer Utility is to bypass OS color management in order to print targets for printer profiling, not to print actual images. If you're trying to print an image, you shouldn't be using the Color Print Utility. The utility won't add back a No Color Management option to Photoshop itself, because that option has been permanently removed.

My HTC One received a software update yesterday, and it wiped out most of the theme and live wallpaper options. How do I get the previous options back?

This was NOT an update, rather a downgrade... the font size in text messages is now smaller and difficult to read. I have tried changing font size in settings and it does not apply to text messages. The lock/unlock screen pattern now reminds me of drawing a stick figure. My vehicle is now having problems with Bluetooth importation of my phone book--I keep receiving an on screen error message as it tries to continuously reattempt to import... And yes, the live weather wallpaper i favored is no longer an option... Why?

  • Why did Adobe get rid of 'No Color Management' option in CS5

I use this option (in earlier CS verisons) when printing digital negatives on transparency film on my Epson 3880. There are a few work-arounds, including a printer utility from Adobe (which only works on tIff files, so it's limitied).
But why, oh why did they get rid of this option in the first place. Did someone just decide, gee, I don't think that's a feature we want anymore in our program, so, puff, it's gone? I hate it when program 'updates' make my work harder instead of easier.

Nope...I was told this by engineers familiar with the initiative...

ACPU and for that matter i1Profiler sends print image data (untagged I assume) through ColorSync and the print driver the exact same way as Lightroom and PSCS5 do when Application Manages Color is selected when printing. The only difference is that LR and PS do not allow you to send untagged image data.
ACPU does send the untagged data through Colorsync, but the image data gets converted by Colorsync or ACPU to the printer profile chosen in the print driver as set up in the Print window of ACPU...so, since the document is in the final profile space of the printer, the print driver does nothing (null transform). Then you choose don't manage color in the driver. Exactly how ACPU works with Colorsync to avoid having Colorsync to an unwanted color transform isn't clear (would have to ask the engineer that wrote it), ACPU is clearly doing SOMETHING different than Photoshop and Lightroom when sending the image data to the printer.
You can see what profile gets embedded when printing from ACPU by setting up the driver and saving a PDF and opening in Photoshop. When I printed to PDF from ACPU after setting up the driver to use Epson Glossy paper on an Epson R3000, the embedded profile in the PDF was SPR3000 Premium Glossy. Which if sent to the printer should result in a null transform. This is similar to the CS5 work around to tag an image with a color space and have that same color space set in Photoshop Manages Color and set the Printer Profile color space to be the same thus bypassing the Colorsync "generic RGB" transform. However, that work around no longer works with Photoshop CS6 (we were warned that this might happen BTW).
I haven't tried it yet, but it's possible that you could still work around this in CS6 if you take an untagged target, assign the printer profile, then use Photoshop Manages Color with the profile being the same printer profile and then in the driver set do not color manage...actually, scratch that–I just tried that and CS6 pops a warning that "No Color Managment is not supported" when trying to print without the proper color management and to get ACPU with a link to download it. I guess Photoshop got pretty serious about disallowing this sort of printing. Heck, you can't even print to PDF.
On the other hand, the simplest solution for me is to simply print out the target using i1Profiler...
