There is no such thing as a "sub-account." Also, you probably mean iTunes library, when you say "account." Your "account" in iTunes is your Apple ID, which is what you use to sign in to the iTunes Store to make purchases. iPods are associated with an iTunes library, not with an Apple ID (iTunes Store account). You'll need to clarify...
So, this is what I think you are saying. You previously shared an iTunes library on a computer with your friend. Your old iPod was synced to that iTunes library.
You got an iPhone, and at that time, you set up your own iTunes library. Is that on a different computer? How does the iPhone affect your question about the iPod?
You got a new iPod. What is your "old iTunes"? Is that the iTunes library you shared with your friend? -
Currently when I double click it creates cpgz file and does not open. The only way to open pages doc is to manually ask to open with pages.

Sounds like OS X has lost the association between Pages and its files.
Start by quitting Pages, then going to Finder.
In Finder, locate a .pages file. Click on it (once), then press command-I (eye, not one) to Get Info.
In the Info window that opens, expand the Open With section.
In this section, click on the pop-up menu and choose Pages (even if Pages is already shown).
Click the Change All button to associate all files with the .pages extension with Pages.
Close the info window.
Double click any .pages file to check that Pages will now launch and open the file.

Attach it to the message. An attachment is an attachment -- if it is displayed or not by the recipient's e-mail client is not under your control.
You can zip it (compress it) before sending it; if it's text, you should zip it anyway; if it's JPEG, zipping will not reduce the size (in fact, it's even possible it may increase it slightly), but most e-mail clients do not display what's inside a zip archive. -

Jim EtheridgeSelect a couple of .ai files and Get Info on the files. Go to the Open with line and set it to Adobe Illustrator. When it ask if you want it to do the same for this file type answer yes. The OS is probably seeing the file as a PDF and Preview by default is set to open PDFs.

I have Firefox 4.0.1 installed on two laptops, one with Windows Vista, 64 bit and the other with Windows XP. Both machines have the "Open a new tab" icon on the far right of the Bookmarks tool bar. The XP machine also has a + icon on the tab bar to "Open a new tab" while the Vista machine does not have that + icon. I like using that; is there any way to get it on the Vista machine?
After weeks of trying, I stumbled on the solution:
# Right-click on an empty section of the Tab Strip, select Customize... and the Customize Toolbar window will open.
# At the bottom of the Customize Toolbar window, there are additional options for changing the appearance of the icons in your toolbars. From the Show drop-down menu, you can choose what to display in the toolbars — Icons, Text, or Icons and Text together. By default, Firefox just shows Icons.
# Select Icons and Text
# When you are finished making changes, click Done to close the Customize Toolbar window. -
I put in a lettered passcode recently and now it won't work anymore and iTunes could not let me type in the password and only solution is to restore it. I really do NOT want to restore it at all because I highly value the info, saved pics and links, especially the music I saved which is only on my ipod, not anywhere else, not even my computer. I am a music person and I work and live for music, and recently I saw a new kind of passcode which can be lettered instead of a 4-digit passcode, so I went ahead with it, which made me comfortable. Until I realized as soon as I clicked the top button (which just put it to sleep or off) and when I click it on, it says it has to be plugged to iTunes. I thought I would have to get home to type in my lettered passcode to get in, which I did. But when I plugged it in, there's no password needed or anything like that. iTunes won't even recognize my iPod, and the solution is to restore it, which I refuse to do, because all my work is in this iPod of mine I've had since nearly 4 years now.
PLEASE HELP ME ASAP!!!!!!! I can't live without music, I know it's hard to believe but it's true. Is the music purchased from iTunes? If it is you can contact iTunes support and ask them to allow you to re-download the music that you purchased from iTunes.
Also, do you sync the device regularly? When syncing an iPod Touch/iPhone a backup file is made. That backup file doesn't contain your music but it does contain your address book, application data, pictures, notes, etc. After restoring your device, you can try restoring from the last backup that was made of your device so you will not have to start over completely from scratch.

I don't want the sidebar to automatically open. How do I stop it?
Since I updated Firefox I now get a sidebar on the left side of the screen. I don't like it and would prefer for it not so show. I prefer to see my entire screen instead of something I didn't request.
What is in the sidebar?

I have really slow internet service and a data cap. Everything I download off the internet has to be after midnight. I absolutely do not want to use the cloud. Everytime I get on safari on my iPhone an icon pops up on the Mac that has the safari icon with a phone in it. I dont want this "on my iPhone" icon to appear. How do I disable it. I just want my Apple ID used for the App Store and nothing else on the Mac.

I have been having this issue for some time as well. Currently on 10.10.1 - which also added a new issue. After I connect to a system the recent item shows up as ComputerName.vncloc and clicking on that fails to connect with a message to check if Screen Sharing is activated on the remote system. When I go through a Finder window it works fine but right click off the screen sharing dock item only sometimes works.
