Go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings.  This will erase your device.  Then you will go through the setup screens again as you did when your device was new, and when given the option, select Restore from iCloud Backup.

  • How to I get my contacts from the iCloud  to my new phone

I am having problems with my new iphone5 the lady in the shop saved all my contacts on the iCloud and said I could get them once I have started up my new phone.does anyone know how I can get my contacts from the iCloud to new iPhone. Thanks

It depends on how she saved them on iCloud.  Check your contacts on icloud.com from your computer.  If they are there, all you need to do is go to Settings>iCloud, sign in with your iCloud ID, then turn Contacts to On.
If your contacts aren't on icloud.com, she may have simply backed up your phone to iCloud.  If that's the case, you would have to restore the backup to your new phone by going to Settings>General>Reset, tapping Erase All Content and Settings (which will erase the phone), then go through the setup screens on the phone and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud backup.

  • How can i get the info off of an old appleworks database. to my mountain lion. OS X?

how can i get the info off of an old appleworks database. to my new mountain lion. OS X? My old data base is on AppleWorks 6

    1.  Read Roger Wilmut's excellent series of articles Abandoning Appleworks, especially the one on databases.
    2.  Call the Apple Store and order Snow Leopard Server for $19.99 + sales tax & shipping: 1.800.MYAPPLE (1.800.692.7753) - Apple Part Number: MC588Z/A (telephone orders only).
    3.  Install Snow Leopard Server into Parallels 8, now available for a short time (4 more days) in the March 2013 MacUpdate 10 App Bundle for $49.99:
    4. Install Appleworks 6.2.9 into Snow Leopard Server and it will now run concurrently with Mt. Lion:

  • I lost my library and backups to a fire but had my Itouch with me , how do i get my "stuff" off my ITouch to my new library ???

I lost my itunes library and backups to a fire but had my Ipod Touch with me, how do I get my "stuff" off
my ITouch to my new computer and new Itunes library ?????

    Connect iPod to PC
    Ignore iTunes prompt to sync.
Find ipod device in 'My computer'
Open the ipod drive and click on ORGANIZE. Then folder and search options tab. Then View and Show hidden files and folders. (You may have done this before)
A folder called "ipod_control" should appear. Open it
Within this folder there should be another "ipod_control" folder. Open that too.
Copy and paste everything in this folder to a folder in "My Music", name it so you can recognize it.
Return to iTunes, then go to  File -> Add folder to libary.
Find that folder you pasted to my music. Highlight it and press select.
Wait. iTunes will recognise the code of the files and begin importing it all to your libary.
Thats it! Your files are moved. ^_^
(PS. you may want to look over them as some of the code will not have been translated, but if you recognise the songs then it should not be a problem.)

My phone was stolen.  How can I get my photos off the iCloud with Snow Leopard.

    Welcome to the Apple Community
You can't, if the photos are in photostream you need a compatible device, if they are in a backup, you can only use the backup to restore to a new device.

sign in with your apple id on the new phone, then go to app store - update - purchase - all/not on this phone and hit the cloud next to the app to downlaod.

You can try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • How do I get my photos down from iCloud on my new 4s? Does it take a few days or something?

I replaced my broken iPhone 4S with a new one. How do I get my photos down from iCloud? Only a few of them have come down. The stream is on and I am connected to wifi so I don't know what the problem is?

    Michael and wjosten!
Just thought I'd let you know what happened in the end with my iCloud issues, solved at tekserve:
When I took my phone to the Verizon store to pick up my new phone, she must have chosen the option "Set up as a new phone" rather than "restore phone from iCloud backup" or whatever. and then I went ahead and set up my phone, not knowing that was ever an option since SHE did it. So i ended up restoring my new phone to factory settings, choosing the OTHER option of restoring it from the iCloud backup i had done, and now I have everything back as it was, in perfect harmony:)
Thanks for both of your help.
Additional question: I usually charge my phone up, and let it run down to about 2%-5% before i recharge it all the way up again. But if i have to run, I may take it out of the charger when its not fully 100%. When I am able to stick it back and charge again, is it better to just NOT and let it run down again? or get it back up to 100% if i have the time?

  • My IPod touch's battery will not charge. How do I get my info off the old IPod onto a new one ?

I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks

If iTunes sees the iPod then:
    - iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
    - Transfer other music by using a third-party program like one of those discussed here;
    Copy music
    - Connect theiPod to the computer and make a backup by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up
    - Restore the new iPod from that backup.
Note that the iPod backup that iTunes makes does not included synced media like apps and music.
If iTunes does not see the iPod you are out of luck unless a Date Recovery company can get the data off the iPod.

  • How do i get the music off my ipod to my new mac?

How do i get the 3.1 gb of music off the ipod with out paying (i am a kid) If i dont get this i will have to synk and loose all my music (original pc in landfill) Thanks ahead of time

    http://www.i-funbox.com/
Download it and find the sub-folder Music.
Right click that and export it. Then import those files into iTunes. Do note that the file names are going to be pretty wierd (Like for example LPITE.mp3  - for the song Linkin Park In the End) but it should be fine if the names are in the files. You will know when you import it into iTunes.

  • How do I get my songs off my IPad after installing new ITunes?

I suppose this question has been asked a couple million times, but here goes a million and one.  I have an IPad and I have 4608 songs that I spent hours ripping from CDs to my system.  I then used my micro sized brain to figure out that if my system crashed I would have a backup of these MP3's on my IPad for safe keeping. Fix the puter, reinstall ITunes, do a backup and restore, bingo back in business.  Of course all my pics, movies, apps, contacts, calendar etc are there but no songs! to my horror no songs. it does not care about the 30 movies that i have copied over to it and would take hours to redo. Nope it wants me to spend days/months re-ripping those **** songs again.  Why, every other device on earth allows you to do this.  What is apple trying to do? Make me want to throw my IPad into the trash compactor?  This makes no sense!   Sorry I blew up.  Does anyone know of any safe way to get the songs off my IPad so I can load them back on my puter and have ITunes recognize them and use them again?

You select the music you want to sync to the iphone, then sync. The same way you get any other music from your computer top your iphone.

  • How do I get my photos off photo stream on my I phone 5 onto my mac computer

I just got the I phone 5 and already had a mac computer and an ipad.  My photostream went right to my ipad but not my computer.  How do I get them there other than plugging it into the computer?

If you're running Mountain Lion, enable iCloud Photo Stream support in the control panel. The photos in photo stream will sync to iPhoto automagically.

  • I switch computers now how do I get my songs off my ipod in my new library?

I got a new computer and installed my ipod. It shows that all my old songs are on my ipod but they are not in the library. How do I get all my songs into my library?
      Windows XP

You can't sync your music back from an iPod to iTunes, the transfer of music is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the files from your iPod, this is just a selection. Have a look at the web pages and documentation for these, they are generally quite straightforward.

    YamiPod Mac and Windows Versions
    PodUtil Mac and Windows Versions

There is also a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
