It may depend on the plugin that is loaded into your browser. However, right click on a PDF and select the Open With option and go to the default button to select Acrobat as the default. That might do it.

How do I get Photoshop CS4 to open .RWL raw files, taken on a Leica DLUX5. I have a Mac 10.91.operating system and have tried downloading and installing Camera_Raw_5_2.dmg, which has failed to do the trick.

Thanks Pierre, I have converted the .rwl files to .dng, but CS4 says it does not recognise them. What now? Or is Mylenium correct?

Hello, you should download the latest DNG converter: http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/extend.displayTab2.html
I suggest to contact Leica and ask them why they do not use the DNg format on that camera, as they do on their more costly models.

How do I get Firefox to open a Visio drawing stored as a .vdx file? Firefox does fine with Visio drawings stored as .vsd files.

I need to store Visio files in vdx format for Subversion compatibility.
When I ask Firefox to open a vsd file on the network, it appropriately states the file is a Visio file and asks if I want to save it. I select yes and the file opens in Visio.
When I ask Firefox to open a vdx file in the same location on the network, it treats the file as a plain text file and opens it immediately--no option to Open With or to Save.
I have tried resetting Firefox but it did not help.
The application tab in settings does not show Visio file types in either instance.
The underlying Windows 7 file association setting for both vsd and vdx is set to Visio.

I'm tracking down the MS Office plug-ins to see if there is any information there.

How can I install Photoshop 5.0 with Windows Vista?

I have Photoshop 5.0 LE and have tried and tried to install it on windows vista. Does anyone have suggestions
on how I can install it. My system Type is x64-based PC and my system directory is C:\windows\system 32. Any suggestions are welcome, I will try everything that I haven't already tried. The apps you are trying to update were purchased with (and therfore permanently linked to) someone elses Apple ID. If you do not know the password then you need to delete the app and redownload/purchase it with your Apple ID.

How do I get photoshop to open my images as sRGB instead of Adobe RGB?

My Camera is set to sRGB but when I open the raw files they are opening as adobe RGB. I take photos of clothing for online stores and when the Adobe RGB images are loaded onto their site it is turning all of the skin tones grey. I don't want to manually change every photo when I open them in photoshop.
Also, what is better for portraits and printing? sRGB or Adobe RGB?

This is set in ACR workflow options (the blue link below the main image window).
The camera setting is irrelevant, that only applies to in-camera processed jpegs. A raw file has no color space until it's opened into one in the raw converter.
Stay with sRGB until you know why you want a bigger color space. It has advantages, but also carries risks that can bite you if you don't know what you're doing.

My firefox opens new windows with a size that equals the current window I have open, or if I have no window open, the last window I closed. I would like to have it open windows the same size every time, regardless of what size the current window is, or what size the last window I closed was. I cannot find a setting or addin to do this anywhere. I have resizer which lets me change the size, but it is annoying that I can't have a default size for windows being opened. I open windows in new windows, not tabs.

I cannot get itunes to open with windows 7 64 bit

I have Windows 7 64 bit. When I download the latest itunes program it will absolutely not open! I have tried everthing I know including uninstalling and reinstalling.

Remove iTunes Preference files
Some of the files that iTunes uses to store settings and preferences may be unusable and cause issues. iTunes has two folders where preferences are saved. Move one of them to the desktop and test to see if the issue persists. If it does, move it back and remove the second folder. The location for the two preference folders are:
